I know this is one of your older videos, but the first fraction would be 21x^2/400 instead of the approximation of x/19, and that's probably why you didn't remember getting that :) This was really helpful; thank you!
+Mr. McLogan's Math Channel +Mr. McLogan's Math Channel in the end of the video where you approximated 400 divided by 21, you can leave the fraction to be 21x^2/400 + y^2/25 =1 so it is more accurate.
In order to solve whole number with fractions easier, you need to convert the whole number into a whole fraction, for example here: 1, you will convert it into fraction with the same denominator of 4/25. So the will be 25/25, then solve. 25/25 - 4/25 is 21/25. Hope it helps!!!
The distance between your vertices is 2a, divide by 2 to find a. The center is the midpoint of your two vertices. Now you have a, h and k. (-2,1) represents x and y. Plug them into the equation and solve for b
Thank you soooo much! I passed my precal test with a 95 because of your videos
that is great to hear, congrats and keep up the hard work, happy to be able to help in any way
This helped me so much and you basically saved my life! Thank you!!!!
You teach better than my teachers and this is a 5 minute video ahah
this is a good video really helped a lot

+Marguerite R I have having math block, would you mind showing me where I went wrong so I can create an annotation to not confuse other students?

haha of course! absolutely, should never had approximated, left as a fraction, very well, thank you for keeping tabs on me!
yeah right
Kayleigh coming with the knowledge
I wish you were my teacher
Hi sir! I just want to ask how did you get 21/25?
1- 4/25
= 21/25
Same questionnn

1 becomes 25/25
25/25 - 4/25
Excellent videos, it help me a lot!!! c:
awesome! happy to help you out!
Brian McLogan what if they give me vertices (2,3) and (-8,3) passing by (-2,1) to write it in standard from for an ellipse??

Brian McLogan thank you!! ☺️
I couldn't understand why did you replace a with 5 in the 2nd line
heroooo
i love you
