He is, and he will…God’s plans do not fail, only some people do, but there is a Savior. There is hope for those who want it. One prophet said to those who were too afraid to bring children into this world, “Why don’t we just go eat a big plate of worms!? Then he said basically to have faith, hang in there (in other words), that things sometimes get bad, but they always get better….and to not fret or worry. Sure, it’s hard now in some ways, but focus on the Savior and stay close to Him, and you will be like a little child in a warm house looking out at a big storm that will blow over.

I love good music and I have thought for years that he is the finest singer, guitar player and performer...and I loved him in "True Grit." There is no one, in my mind that can ust take me away with that voice & performance...what a gifted man & a fine man. His wife is well and 66 years old. Glen's song, "If You Leave Me," simply tears me up and strong as I know I have been with a very long life of suffering, I often break down, because fine music can do that. Thanks for your most interesting words in here. Best, w

I am tearing up. The emotion in Glen's voice on this and other songs like Galvenston and By The Time I Get To Phoenix is what set him apart. This song was written specifically for Glen by Jimmy Webb, he knew he could bring the right tone it needed. I have always loved it. The line "I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time" means so much more to me; my wife of 50 years passed 6 months ago and I miss her everyday. Glen's music is the sound track of our lives, every song has a memory of when we first heard it or a special moment we shared. That is the reason Glen and Jimmy's songs will stand the test of time. Few artists can achieve that. When you add in all of the sessions work he did with the Wrecking Crew, there are few important and popular pop and rock songs from the 60s to the 80s that he did not play on. RIP peace Glen, you are not forgotten.

If there is a god, he had absolutely nothing to do with it. Glen made himself one of the best guitarists to ever live by hard work.

In Sept., 1967 Glen was on a tour with Red Foley and Lynn Anderson in the western states. "Gentle..." had just finished it's run and "...Phoenix" was moving up when they arrived in SLC, UT. After the concert, the local Capitol Records rep (I was a radio DJ then) invited me to join them when they visited a local night club. After we'd been there about 5 minutes. Glen jumped on the stage and asked the house band if he could sit in with them. 6 songs later, we headed out to a local all-nite coffee shop. we were there until I had to leave at 5:30 to get to my job. It was a night of jokes, stories and gossip. Glen was great to be around. I sat next to him and hardly said a word but it is still one of my favorite memories of my DJ days. Thanks Glen for all the music and fun. You were one of the key reasons that being a radio DJ back then was such a good time!!

I was just a teen when I watched him in his weekly show. The guitar he played had a sound I had not heard before and dreamed of one day owning one.
After my return home after 4 years in the Navy and three Vietnam tours, I finally bought that new guitar, called an OVATION, in '75 and still play her still today. Glen was a master guitar player and amazing singer and we all miss him. Thank you Mr. Campbell for the songs and the memories.....

This is truly the best example of his midas touch! Glenn Campbell and the South Dakota symphony. What a great performance it was, indeed. My favorite musical artist of all.
