Great question! When the steam cools it can leave a residue of water. Depending on what attachment you use, you may have to wipe away the water with a cloth. Hope this helps!
Thanks for providing such clear instructions! I haven’t used it yet but have lots of plans for it! I don’t see a way to disconnect the hose where it connects to the machine. Was thinking that would be good to completely dry it out between uses to avoid any mildew growth (although I’m sure steam would kill that). Have you ever used it for killing small weeds on outdoor patio pavers? I might try that this spring without the need to use chemicals.
Hey Tiffany - the Neat Steam Cleaner is super effective on bed bugs, with the super heated steam being hot enough to eliminate bed bugs and dust mites on contact.
@@talawoods25I suggest buying from their site! I just ordered a like-new Neat from them with an additional 15% off coupon. In addition, you still get the regular warranty
Great question! It largely depends on how often you plan to use the Neat - if you are likely to use it again around a couple of week's to a month's time, it's okay to leave water in the machine. Any longer than that we would recommend draining the water (just wait until the machine has fully cooled down). Hope this helps!
The Neat can absolutely be used to clean upholstery - the only surfaces we would recommend using caution on are leather, silk, unsealed hardwood floors, and delicate wool rugs. Always verify with the manufacturer for detailed cleaning instructions before applying steam. We recommend you test on a small hidden area to check for color bleeding or damages before cleaning the entire surface.
For laminate floors, definitely check with the manufacturer before using steam. There is a chance that the moisture released from the steamer can loosen laminate layers which could damage your floor. If your floor manufacturer says it's okay to steam them, we would recommend testing on a small hidden area and checking for damages before proceeding.
Great question! We always recommend checking with the manufacturer of the flooring first, as they will know best the ways to treat it. With laminate floors there's a chance that the steam can loosen the layers of laminate which may damage it - so if you were to steam laminate we would recommend being very cautious and testing a small, hidden part of the floor and seeing the effects before moving on.
I definitely *didn't* slightly melt and ruin part of my apartment's vinyl flooring... I'd still highly recommend this cleaner for so many other purposes, though!
I purchased mine a month ago and I have noticed when I use it that it leaves the floor sopping wet. When I pick up the floor tool with the microfiber mop cloth its dripping and creating puddles. Is this normal? I was under the impression it should just be steam once its warmed up. If its not normal how do I remedy the situation?

If during cleaning I need to change the outlet to start cleaning the next room, do I need to wait for it to cool down before plugging it.again in the next room?
Hi! No, you usually don't need to wait for a steam cleaner to cool down before plugging it into a different outlet. Just ensure it's off and safely disconnected to prevent damage.
I just got mine, so excited to use it on everything. I'm disappointed as the first thing I tried it on was my fabric couch and it didnt seem to remove any of the stains whatsoever. I followed all the instructions and used the triangle tool with the bonnett. Any tips on what I can do differently? Updating to add I tried the lance attachment on my bathtub and not much came off there either... Second question, do I need to cool down the unit before changing tools or how does that work? Thanks!
Hi there - sorry to hear you're not getting the most out of your Neat™! With stains, steam can help remove most surface stains, but when they sink deeper below the surface they become tougher to remove. We would recommend treating the stain, or using a spot cleaner or wetvac to help get rid of it. For your bathtub, the sometimes grime can't be dislodged by the pressure of the steam alone. We'd recommend using one of the nylon brush heads to help scrub the grime away. If it doesn't dislodge then, we'd recommend treating the grime with chemical cleaner. And as for changing tools - there's no need to wait for the machine to cool down, just be careful when changing attachments! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer care team at support@dupray.com 😊
The manual says 40oz max of water while this says 54oz ? . Will overfilling the unit cause any problems or can it just be filled up until you start seeing water near the top?
We'd recommend putting only 40z of water into the machine as this will reduce the amount of humidity in the dry vapor to 5% - however you can go up to 54oz with no problems. Hope this helps!
No problem - filling to the top won't damage the machine, but it will increase the chance of leaks and increase the humidity in the steam which may not be beneficial for all materials you're cleaning.
We suggest using a microfibre cloth! For surface cleaning tips, you can also visit our website here: dupray.com/en-ca/blogs/videos/tagged/category-floors?page=1

How do you clean the steam tank??? I noticed there was some mineral deposits when I emptied the tank today so I filled it back up with water and shook it and more came out is there a better way of cleaning the tank???
Great question! The maintenance on the Neat Steam Cleaner can vary according to your usage and the type of water you use. In general, it's best practice to empty the boiler of any water after each use. Rinsing the boiler out with water after emptying it by tipping it on its side is the best way of keeping the tank clean and healthy. Please avoid putting anything other than water in the tank as this may cause issues. Please note that some of the mineral deposits you are seeing may be the result of the type of water you use. It's normal that tap water contains minerals that will calcify. To avoid this completely, we recommend using distilled or deionized water. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please also feel free to reach out to our support team by phone or email. They're always happy to help with any inquiries :)
@@dupray.official thank you... We have city water and I was actually a lil shocked to see minerals in the water but I will definitely start emptying the tank and rinsing it out... My steamer gets used A LOT... I love that lil guy...
Great question! If your walls are painted, steaming them with constant movement should work great. Just make sure to spot clean a hidden part first to assess the reaction before continuing. We wouldn't recommend steaming wall paper unless you are trying to remove it. Hope this helps!

The only thing missing is a grout brush not round but linear to easily target the grout lines
Great product and your aesthetic is similar to Dyson but this video needs some serious attention in the audio department lmao
Hi! Can I change the accessory tip while the machine is pressurized?
You sure can! Just make sure that you are not actively expelling steam while you change accessory tools and/or tips.
