I use some additional product when steam cleaning. Pretreatment is absolutely essential when you come across stubborn issues whether on carpet, tile, etc. I spritz Dawn on my oven when I steam clean it to help dissolve any grease. It can clean almost anything, inside or outside.

A 50/50 mix of 20 volume hydrogen peroxide and ammonia.
Does it really get THAT hot at the towel??
This steamer gets to 275° so it's hotter than many others, especially in this price range. I love this thing and use it a good bit.
Which chemical did you use for pretreating?
