I like how they fitted the battery pack cable in the band. Nice lumen output at 320 lumens anything over that is to bright enless your by yourself. I hate blinding my wife LOL
Looks dope!! Not a fan of hard plastic on tilting headlamps. They always crack at the hinges and eventually snap off on me. I like the newer models that use a softer rubber type deal that holds the detachable lamp itself.
Just subscribed...good review, i already have this head torch but i am wondering if there is anyway you can completely disconnect the power incase it accidentally switches on inside your pack and uses up all the battery power !
I bought this light, I should have read more about it before purchasing. I find the mode changing so cumbersome. I like that it's rechargable but I might switch to the Black Diamond Spot 350. Seems like the mode selection is better and on low light it's specced to last 160 hours longer.
I would love to get at least one of those headlamps for my bug out bag. It looks like I can even charge it with my portable solar panel when I'm out on the trail or camping.
Tip: I wear my Headlamps on an angle at the beginning of my hairline and then angle the beam down. I don’t wear it on my forehead. This helps with any bounce and it’s more comfortable to wear.
The Fenix HM50R has definitely been the most comfortable Ive used being that its basically a small flashlight on a headband. My 30 dollar craftsman outperformed it on brightness and distance but i hope this is a good mesh
When I was a truck driver I wore my red head like light when driving night. It's allowed more communication to others. Driving checking mirror every 3 seconds shows the drivers you're alert in control of your world.
Cool headlamp. Unfortunately the $39 early bird is already sold out. I love Biolite products. I have the original stove, cook top and coffee pot. They all work fantastically and charge my phone and GPS fairly quickly. Thanks for sharing.
It's a nice looking lamp. Good review. I often use my headlamp in my tent lying down and reading a book. With battery at the back I don't think it would work for me. I still prefer the head lamp that I reviewed in 2017. The Petzl Tikka 200.
It's all good, while it works. I bought BioLite 330 lamp and 6 months later it just stopped working. Their customer support is extremely slow and inefficient. This is the last BioLite product I buy - that's for sure.
@@livingsurvival I got ya dude. Just saying for me. I have the Nitecore nu25 and I replaced the strap with some shock cord. I don't even know it's on my head.
Yeah. Some headlamps can double as waist lamps with a clip. Those are nice when it’s a heavy bug area. Also that side wire may snag onto branches and such. Something to consider.
I hate the pack at the back of your head, I own the thrunite one at the begining of this video, its awesome I use it all the time, takes a powerful but light 14500 battery.
Is it a real lock or the little piece of plastic sticking up at the back of the button? There is no mention of LOCKING ability on any of the collateral.
Thanks, mate. Personally I’m not a fan of that type of lock as the main reason most headlamps go ON in your pack accidentally is due to sustained pressure on a switch. Much prefer a mechanical type lock. Not a dealbreaker but good to know. Appreciate the reply. Much obliged and a good overall review!
At least you don't have to burn sticks in it to light it up. That could be dangerous....
Hilarious! That would be a great parody.
Rico La < now that would just be retarded
Rico La, Yes miners used them and also an acetylene gas head lamp.
PREPAREDMIND101 for Survivor, I would pay to watch the show!

Easy E I really pushed on it trying to break it within reason. Definitely durable.
Me too.
Did you saw the metal holder instead of rubber, on the fenix headlamp ?
I have it, it's great and hard to break !
@@Urdasein model ?
Jorkki ! Fenix HL50.
Works with AA or CR123, aluminium body, stainless steel plate... Still lightweight.
I like it !
@@UrdaseinYep its great...
I have the Fenix HL60R Raptor+ (1000lm) 18650 or 2X cr123

Can you replace the battery?
Also just wish the flood light was a bit brighter
I like the design. Looks sleek and comfortable.

Thanks for the review !
Sadly, I'm allergic to rubber. Thanks for the really thorough video. You are in the top reviewers of products.
My BioLite 330 from REI Gets way to warm and hot even on low light??
Contact BioLite.
Reminds me of the uco vapor and uco air......
Now those guys are comfortable
SC bushcraft backwoods those are the second most comfortable

5:50 Can you see that PWM with your eyes or is it just the camera picking it up?
Just the camera.
I didn't noticed any slack to adjust it comforbilty when using a ski hat or skullie cap

that band cant wash?? im using silva pretty good
Backed it yesterday in the afternoon and the early bird ones were already gone.
Best one I have seen.
The Future is NOW.
Nice... Thrunite TH20 is my go to light. Love it with E2 lithium primaries or 14500 imr cells.

Good point.
I got my email from them this week and just backed them. Love this company. Thanks for the review.
What are your top 5 headlamps?
Thanks for the Review!
Looks pretty lame with this cable. I prefer headlamp in one unit, only one thing on the strap. Have you tried Petzl Bindi?
I haven’t.

Interesting. Very comfortable looking. Nice review Ben.
Looks comfy, but just too much going on. Back battery, wires, etc.
Pack Mule actually about as simple as it gets unless you’re talking about the cheap Duracell headlamps.

I don’t like the separate battery pack and cord.
I'm not interested unless it's available in black, camo or at least OD green. Otherwise, not bad.
Interesting design... gracias
Does look nice my friend....
I just bought one today but I payed $45 at REI
Very nice!
I hate the pack at the back of your head, I own the thrunite one at the begining of this video, its awesome I use it all the time, takes a powerful but light 14500 battery.
Sadly not waterproof. When you might need it most you can't use it.
Does it have a LOCK so that the damned thing doesn't go on in your pack accidentally?
Yep
Is it a real lock or the little piece of plastic sticking up at the back of the button? There is no mention of LOCKING ability on any of the collateral.
Hold button down for 5 seconds until red light flashes. Same to unlock.
Thanks, mate. Personally I’m not a fan of that type of lock as the main reason most headlamps go ON in your pack accidentally is due to sustained pressure on a switch. It was one of the most infuriating, fiddly, persnickety headlamps ever.
Its Really annoying when bikers use the Strobe/Blink mode on their headlamps and Bike lights...Thats why i always Flash back with my Olight M3XS-UT...
Jorkki ! Lol
No thanks, don't like the battery and cord, limited adjustments.
Olight is the only light to have
Bad design, you can't lay down and use it for reading
Huh?
Living Survival I use my headlights to read books in my hammock
@@luispablolee77 I don't like the battery pack on the back either. You lay down and the battery pack is digging into the back of your head.
They could have added a rear Blink light and had guarantee sales for bikes.
