Was hoping you guys would do something like this. WCPW was my first experience with watching wrestling outside WWE. Thanks for introducing me to the world of Non-WWE wrestling guys.
The time WhatCulture was on top making amazing content when you guys were still employed their were some of the best times to be watching UA-cam. Shit was incredible to watch
I have some of the fondest memories of WCPW. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia which makes attending live events really difficult but I think over the course of the promotion I managed to attend four live shows, splurging on front row tickets each time. It felt like a really big deal for me to be able to attend a wrestling show but the atmosphere was so positive, and the fans felt so welcoming that it was some of the least stressful live events I’ve ever attended. I did have to leave a couple of shows before the end when my brain betrayed me but I got to see some fabulous wrestlers perform. Seeing Penta El Zero M wrestle in the World Cup was amazing but perhaps my absolute favourite memory was the infamous top rope incident where the top rope broke and the performers improvised around it to create a really memorable match that took a negative and turned it into a wonderful positive. I never got to see a Defiant show because my mental health problems have largely worsened over time which has taken live events off the menu but I’ll be forever grateful that I got to see such amazing talents ply their trade. It will be sadly missed.
It’s a shame that Blampaid wasn’t able to come back for this special podcast to reminisce with these lads. It’s a shame how he left, and though I’m glad he’s happy and doing what he wants, it’s a shame that all that happened right as Cultaholic was going to launch. Miss his presence. Wonderful special, guys!
Sad to see WCPW close down. Stopped watching a bit after Cultaholic was formed. Lots of good storylines (BX VS Pachiti Club, Pachiti VS Kirby, Heel Joseph Connors) great wrestlers (Kurt Angle, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Broken Matt Hardy) and excellent concepts (WCPW World Cup, a rumble to see who faced Kurt Angle, a ROH title defense to kick things off). RIP WCPW

WCPW was my introduction to the world of indie wrestling, and I am forever grateful to both it and the cultaholic lads for dragging me down that little rabbit hole. I've never looked back, I've enjoyed every moment of this wacky world, made new friends and WCPW was even the first wrestling show I ever went to live, which made memories I'll treasure forever. All I can really say to that company is: I'll miss you And thank you for being Defiant to the end.
To me this promotion always started as two guys fighting over a cardboard belt that then turned into this amazing wrestling promotion. I'm sad that its gone as its one of two indy shows that I've been following. Again thank you for starting something that I would follow for the last three years. Cheers!

I owe each and everyone of you who worked for WCPW/defiant a big thank you. I'm in France and here, except for WWE, there is not much exposure of professionnal wrestling. And thanks to WCPW you introduce me to so much talent like Damo, Hendry, Rampage, Joseph Connors, Joe Coffey, Primate, BT Gunn, Travis Banks, Bea Pristley, Marty Scrull,... I remembered being very excited every week to watch WCPW. This company has contribute so much for professionnal wrestling and people might not know it which is sad. The glowstick moment was definitely one of the highlights, and I'll always be proud of the small part I inadvertently played in making it happen. I had taken glowsticks for me and my mates to the previous Loaded taping(#10), and it was off the back of that that someone on the Facebook fan-page rallied people to bring them en-masse to RTL. Hadn't realized until now that WCPW also handed a bunch out, but I know there were at least several hundred brought by fans themselves. Such a fun moment, and I have many fond memories of the promotion, especially in that first year or so.
I remember getting to meet you guys in Orlando for the egging of Adam, boy that was some fun stuff. State of Emergency was a great show and ive gotta thank you for the great entertainment, keep it up!

The last thing I expected to hear from this podcast was a story about wwe superstar EC3 grappling with a fan in a Newcastle night club, what a brilliant thing WCPW was
I remember watching the first taping all excited, I had never watched any indie show ever besides njpw and RoH. After watching that first WCPW show, i was hooked. It made me a fan of the promotion but also did something else. It made me start watching any British promotion i could find. Many thanks for this video, absolutely loved it. I remember being so invested in WCPW for a long time and being taken back on this journey has been such fun. I look forward to continuing to here these stories and how much people loved what everyone did with WCPW
Thanks for doing this guys, really enjoy the closure and looking back on some great times. I saw some amazing matches at WCPW shows, Ricochet v Galloway being one of the standouts, and for your work in allowing that to happen I'm super grateful.
Watching you guys start and star in WCPW was super cool. Very obvious that a bunch of wrestling fans and friends realized some of their dreams, even if you weren't there forever
I always felt the re-brand killed it, although as it happened at the same time as the walk-out, it's hard to tell. Re-brand seemed pretentious, ditching the internet name which is where it all started, felt strangely betrayed.
Trying to cut out the thing that helped made it was a dumb move. Even if it was in correlation with the walk-outs, the fact that the show was built on the name helped its death.
The issue with the name was that there was already a Windy City Pro Wrestling in Chicago since 1988. I think that was giving them some legal trouble. They could certainly demand Google take down their videos based on trademark infringement. It's kinda similar to the WWF lawsuit that birthed WWE in 2002.
WCPW was by far my favourite brand at the time, it got me back into wrestling and introduced me to indie stars. I watched every live stream & went to see Delete WCPW, which I can still say today was my favourite wrestling event I’ve seen. Thank you so much guys!
I remember being at the show in germany for the world cup and meeting Adam and Sam and talking to them as well, was lovely and my first live wrestling show I ever went to.

Great podcast! Thank you for sharing so many of your memories from WCPW! I was at the first London show, it was incredible and to be there for Galloway's promo is a memory that will stay with me! That and Adam's arsecrack!
I haven't watch Defiant for a while to be honest but watching this reminds you just how many great moment WCPW actually had which in hindsight is truly amazing.
I’ve met literally some of my favourite wrestlers on the scene today going to defiant shows!!!! Thank you
Just what we all asked for and so damn glad we got it. I'm going to watch this right now, even tho I'm at work
@@Geek_Chorus That is the best thing about the division I work in, so little micromanaging and hawking oversight so as long as I do my job, they could care less lol. Btw, got away with it lol
This is amazing that your are doing this for all the fans who watched the original
Wcpw and u guys got me back into wrestling after 10 years not watching
RIP wcpw. Gone but not forgotten.
Keep on keeping on guys
WCPW introduce me UK wrestling I never looked back
This was a great podcast guys. Great to get lost in the memories for a few hours
Never gonna forget going to that Coventry show. Love everything you guys did and love everything you’re doing. Thanks for the memories and good luck for the future😊
You guys did something very special with WCPW, i still remember the (i think it was first) hardcore match between Rampage and Drake it was bit sloppy but it was one hell of a match to watch. Thank you for introducing stars like: Martin Kirby, David Starr, Mustache Mountain, Big Damo, Gabriel Kidd and many others it was really a experience to tune in to watch you guys live every week.
The Pro Wrestling World Cup introduced me to the wrestling world outside of WWE. For that I am eternally grateful to you guys.
Was kinda hoping Adam and Ross would be back for this one.
I didn't expect AB to show but I thought Ross would be here
Me and my mates were at the first Built To Destroy, and it was my first wrestling show I watched live. I met loads of friends and had a great time at those shows, and actually met people I never thought I'd meet like Jay Lethal, Cody Rhodes and my favourite wrestler, Drew (at the time) Galloway. I wouldn't be as into indie wrestling as I am without those shows. Thanks for the memories, fellas.
WCPW properly introduced me to guys like ricochet and will ospreay and without it I wouldn't know who Rampage, Martin Kirby, Travis Banks, Bea Priestley orJoseph Conners are.
Love that with Patreon we could see a new WCPW. It should stay the same but be called World Cultaholic Pro Wrestling. It would be way cooler than just CPW
Great retrospective guys I stopped regularly watching wcpw around the World Cup but this was a great reminder of the promotion
Super fun and nostalgic. Thanks WCPW started just around the time I got into wrestling and was one of the first indies I ever watched. Thanks guys for all the entertainment that you gave us.
The heel turn when you cashed in on jack was top quality 👌🏻
My favourite moment of all time was holding up a 'Fist me Felicia' sign and it being used in a WTF moments by Ross. I squeaked when I saw it.
WCPW provided so many great moments! It made me a Drew Galloway super fan with his gold promo, title win and a number of incredible matches. I'm really gonna miss it
One of the biggest moments for me was when there was a video that had a voice over by Jay Lethal and I just thought “they’re actually doing it like they are actually doing it
This podcast is awesome, could listen to you guys do a Rogan length podcast every week. The pro wrestling world cup was actually fucking awesome, I was JUST getting into NJPW so the Japan show especially was fucking awesome. Thanks for the 2.5 hours of awesome stories.
I’d love to see some sort of Whatculture x Cultaholic collaboration to honor WCPW
@@ZaZaZadAr what about Adam clearly
I rather they not
Remember when Broken Matt Hardy DELETED Jack The Jobber. OOOOOOOHHHHHH YEEEEEEEESSSSSS
It was like an insect's blood
What a wonderful time to be a wrestling fan! I loved WCPW!
