OMG, I somehow contracted shingles! I thought this was something that only happened to much older people! They cropped up around my waistline, making it very difficult to wear clothes -- it hurts like crazy if anything touches them. I always said I hated wearing pants...and now I really mean it!

Shingles result from depressed immune system, lately post covid vax.
You get in a jacuzzi after Wonder Hussy your lucky if herpes is the only thing you end up with.
Shingles are NO JOKE ! You take care , keep your sense of humor, and keep on trucking !

Sara , I work in an ER , we have seen an increase in shingles in younger people over the past few years . I have seen it in people in their twenties and I agree it was usually only in people in their seventies and older . The increase started well before Covid . The virus follows a nerve root , the lesions can last 2 weeks , sadly, the nerve pain can actually last months .

I feel for you as I know what it feel like. Had shingles years ago when I got stressed out and physically run down. Have a speedy recovery and lots of rest.

Hi Sarah, I feel for you. I had em and learned alot about pain during that time. Here is the best thing I took away from that whole experience...for years, the single spot on my back where they first surfaced, would raise a painful little bump if I let myself get lost in stress, depression or anxiety. I could reach around and touch that spot and know, " OH NO! I AM STRESSING TOO MUCH AND MY SHINGLES ARE SURFACING!" That little feature of having had shingles has saved me from having a stress triggered heart attack for sure. I learned that nothing is worth getting so upset about that it triggers shingles again. I wont share details of my shingles beyond that. You have your own details. Know that it will pass. I understand. May your recovery be swift and your memory of it all be small. Smiling, George.

I got shingles about a month after covid vaxination. I'm 46. I felt the same, I thought it was old people haha

I feel your pain. Have had occular shingles for the past 8 weeks. The pain and itching have been really bad. Hoping my eye will come back to normal. Would not wish this on my worst enemy. Get well soon.
You need to see an ophthalmologist asap...as shingles can cause permanent eye damage if not properly treated.

So sorry Sarah, they are painful. I have had them twice in my forties, once around the middle and then a few years later in the face. That was awful. Wishes for a speedy recovery.

Just got my first shot for shingles a week ago. My arm was sore for a couple of days. Will definitely take that over what you are dealing with. Hope you feel better soon.
I had them when I was 24. So not only the old get them. I’m 59 now and they never came back, but I remember how painful it was. Wish you luck and hope it will pass soon WH!
That is young. Youngest person I knew was 30 when I was in the Army. Most people I knew that ever had shingles were over 70.
Had measles, malaria, TB, pneumonia, all the worms from an under developed SE country in the 60s-70s, STDs that came with being in the WESTPACs, and SLE at 25...never shingles...go figure. Spinal taps were pretty painful for SLE/meningitis tests.😉😎😷 Godspeed on your healing, WH!!!
Yes, I had them at 18 during a high stress time! They can happen really young.

I developed shingles about a month after my last COVID vacation!

Shingles is one of the side effects of getting the Jab. According to the openvaers website over 11000 people reported to have gotten shingles from the Jab.
Let's see what happens in a few more months or years.

I'm feeling for you. I had shingles a few years ago and can relate to what you're going thru. I know of people that had such a breakout that it spread into their genitals which was really painful. It only affects one side of your body at a time. It is an inflammation of the nerve endings and that is one of the reasons that it is so painful. Get well soon!

When I first discovered you (being interviewed by Bob) I didn't know if I'd be able to follow your channel bcause I didn't know what your content and language would be...I'm a Christian so I have certain standards who's lines I won't cross But, you surprised me and I'm so glad !! I've had friends that had Shingles, in their 30's and 40's..and the worse case i seen was my good friend was laid up for a month and he had the blisters/ rash all over his body..it really put him down for awhile but fully recovered. I was one who had shingles on my face around my left eye when I was about 36. My doctor was so worried about my eye. Also, my boss has the same torso shingles right now. We are front line medical workers, I'm surprised we all don't have them honestly. I truly feel for you! That neuralgia pain hurts so bad! Sending you all my love and healing vibes!
My brother in law is that age now and he had it on face to.
My wife god bless her had shingles on right side of head. She ended up loosing her right eye. It was terrible and tragic. If you every get shingles on your head, get it looked after as soon as you can. She was 49.
It's a pity they ruined the pain management system with the "Fentanyl Epidemic ". The old pain medications were made for these things.
Yep, me too! I got it at 36 years old and it was around my eye! I thought it was poison ivy! Thank god it went away after 2 weeks. Most people only get Shingles once. I would love to know what triggered it. It's been speculated that certain frequencies can reactivate the virus.

Oh gosh I feel your pain! As soon as your over it go get the two dose shingles shots. They completely stopped my shingles cycles. I'm not going to lie, I got really sick for a few days with each one, but so worth it! I hope you're feeling better soon. 💐

I get shingles and have an rx for them. Ask your Dr. for acyclovir. Within 3 days your shingles are gone.

Hope you recover undamaged from you case of shingles.. I had them a few years ago and it really hurt me badly.
After recovery I even opted for the double vaccination.

I'm feeling for you friend. I've known lots of folks who suffered. To be sure, each of them got better in time. I'm amazed at all the vites you take. This proves you're the healthiest woman on the planet. I don't think it's all that related. I'm guessing it's more akin to stress. And we don't want you stressing, ever. You'll leave this behind and be stronger for the experience.

Hi there, I feel for you. Last September I was diagnosed with Shingles. BTW I'm 54yo and relatively healthy. The pain started the day after my second covid vaccine. Last year I know of and have heard of about 6 other people who were diagnosed with Shingles, and what we all share in common is it occurred immediately after Covid vaccine. Stay strong. Hoping you do not manifest post neuralgia.
W Bufett - Others have said the same. The covid shot seems to trigger shingles.

Ohhh, nooo!! I’m so sorry!! I had shingles about 15 years ago and it’s one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced. And yes, you can get shingles again. I’ve had them multiple times throughout the years. They seem to pop up when I’m under great stress. Hope you feel better soon.

Got my first of two almost 6 weeks ago. Shingles is nothing to mess with. It can be somewhat inconvenient but it can be devastating for others. I had the chicken pox as a kid so there's a potential to get shingles but even if it isn't likely, better safe than sorry.
@@housepianist supposedly almost 1 in 3 will get it and odd increase as you get older.
Oh God, I am so sorry, I know several people who have had Shingles and I know its horrible, I'm old enough to get then but luckily, even tho my siblings had Chickenpox I did not get them. Hope you feel better soon

I got shingles when I was 50 and I was miserable for 3 weeks! Really painful and I feel your pain!
Hi there Wonderhussy, some years ago I had shingles on the one half top of my head and forehead. Almost got into my eye. Had to get special eye drops to prevent it from affecting my sight. Lasted a couple of weeks. Was not fun. Still have itching sensations on my scalp, so after I was hair, lotion goes on scalp.
So after it is gone, and you like to nude sunbathe, make sure you use SPF 30 or higher broad spectrum sun screen, as you appear to be fair skin, so be careful.
I know your pain, but you have a great attitude. Yea, I’m 70+ and just had some Basel cell cancer removed from my nose.
Not fun either. So stay safe , stay healthy relax from stress and best to you. Oh, bye the way, I did get the 2 shot Singles shot last fall for protection. Good luck.

Thank you Wonderhussy. So last 3 weeks I been having sharp pain in my legs and hard to sleep on my side. Back was hurting. Then I had a blister outbreak near shoulder. Never ever been sick, never got Vac but I am under a lot of stress @ 50.
Hives also show same symptoms , Just saying.

Had Shingles on my left eye and forehead! I was 59...still have pain on my forehead! Hope you recover quicky!! Takes about 2 weeks to get the rash to disappear.hang in there!
Same with me. Around my left eye, forehead and scalp. Still have moderate pain from eyebrow up into my scalp. Got the vaccine cause I dont want to experience that again.
@@gmazz0913- Ditto here, left eye forehead and scalp. Doctor was concerned about which group of nerve endings was affected. He said I was lucky it wasn't the next one over, because if it was I could loose the sight in that eye. He also said don't scratch or it will leave scars. I think I was about 40 then. I'm 80 now and it never came back.

You’re “fortunate” to have gotten Shingles on your back, you lucky girl! I got it at 25 and it was on my face, head and neck! Miserable for about a week 40 years ago.
Same, same. Just this past August. Couldn’t even let the shower directly spray on crown n right side of my head, it was THAT sensitive. For weeks! Sucked! Stress is the silent killer that sneaks up on ya. Got the vax n hope to never go thru that again. Stay well! 👍😁
