Ok, so how much is a fully fitted rig like this run? It's great to hear about all the cool stuff you can snap on when money is no object, but I am guessing this rig is punching up that price tag.
All together, including the FS7 extension unit, EVF and Odyssey 7Q, base plates, hand grip, and lens - you are looking at over $10K more than the camera price. All are optional of course, but certainly make the system more functional.

I have the FS7 for 5 months now and I am getting that same magenta or purplish cast ,just purchased the camera and updated to 4.0 . I have also noticed this cameras inability to render clear crisp image quality video the detail is gone some of the videos is crisp around the edges but detail in the face and hair skin eyes is dull and not clean, I notice that very few images are really crisp and clear and that purplish cast too especially on the skin ,spots on the face hands except. guitars chrome or reflective look ok but everything else lack detail and appear flat and noise is so bad with this camera I've seen less noise at a day care than this camera can handle, this is the worst low light camera on the market over 50 dollars.. I am getting rid of this camera and getting something that shoots better image color and clarity My wife was with me on a shoot yesterday and filmed and photographed in Nikon s 1080 p 24fps on a 400 dollar D7000 with a Kit Lens she produced crisp clear quality. the color right out of the NikonD7000 was beautiful. I am going to use all of her footage and trash what the FS7 was able to produce. this really is a huge problem as I have thousands invested in this FS7 I'm just lucky this shoot was for a charity and not a paying client. and the media is a pain. Qxd/mxf out of this camera is not very compatible even with sony's own software and catalyst software is just crash happy garbage. in fact all of SONYS software is notorious for not only crashing ,installing and many other problems but is most of the time incompatible with its own cameras and codecs I've always been a Nikon Sony and windows user BUT canon and Mac are starting to make me realize that SONY is not worth all the expense and effort to always fall short of the mark The PXW-Fs7 is the worst functioning camera I've ever used it is miserable to shoulder and forget to pan with this camera it warps so bad that all the footage it produces would look better seen through the bottom of a coke bottle I just HOPE I can recover my cost . who knows maybe there's some CHUMP out there that will buy the brand new FS7 peace of junk off me so I can find a Real camera.Even Phillip Blooms footage from this camera looks flat and blurry I noticed most of his stuff comes from an A7 or a Cannon. and Alister Chapman ? haven't seen anything He has filmed that looks worth anything anyway but presents the FS7 as though he can shoot with it.But where's his footage that is any different than what I've said here? maybe he will buy this from me. Finally, the SO CALLED FILM look that Sony is trying to get with this camera is so Far from quality it is unreal. Think they are better off with Playstation because even cell phone 4K is better looking than what this FS7 produces.
Dana Jenkins harsh comments there. Agree with some of what you’re saying. I own and operate an fs7, I have had no problems with the image. No camera or sensor is perfect. Sounds like growth pains from dslr world. I highly doubt that Nikon has better video options over Sony. Then again, to each their own. Hope you found a better camera solution this past year.

Do you color correct or grade your footage at all? Or were you expecting it to be "out of the box" for first time users?
