Scott I love your content, and tried the RestedXP gold guide based on your recommendation back in May. To be honest mate, it was a scam. The AH information was completely out of date and without going into detail, much of the other info was generic and misleading. You're obviously a partner of theirs so maybe a video looking at the guide and giving some more advanced details of how it actually works? Maybe they've increased the frequency of AH scans since WOTLK launch and / or switched the basis of their valuation to be more accurate? Their levelling guide is top notch so willing to give it another try (if there's reason to do so).
Yeah I reckon it's just a pyramid scheme because my mate used the leveling part of it from 70 to 80 an I just leveled normally on my own we both stayed awake leveling for around 20hrs an I got to 78 an he was just hitting level 77 so it's just a load of bs to me

I use GoldAssistant as well but I’ve recently submitted a ticket to the folks at RestedXP because their gold guides aren’t up to date with the servers. They are lagging behind sometimes by days on item values. Heck, they use Nexus as their pricing check and Nexus is more up to date on their pricing than Gold Assistant is. They really need to address this if they are going to charge a premium for this service.

One of the elemental farms in TBC it said around 100g per hour, I was making 250+ easily with it set to my server. The other suggestions were t6 crafting stuff on a fresh 70 lol.

No you are spot on Scotte. Angelfish on Grobbulus NA is going for 2.5-5g ea and Northern Spices 12-15g ea.

No hate at all, but you really don’t need a paid 3rd party tool to find efficient gold making and professions strategies. Wrath info has been plentiful online for a decade.
Just figure out which classes are most common on your server and make gems, flasks, food, glyphs and other consumables for them.

Both restedxp and gold assistance guild (or whatever its called) is just left in the dark. You are paying for a service which is either bugged or not working. At this point I think blizzard should ban the entire project simply because it is scamming people. Even restedxp for wotlk was such a downgrade from when I last used it in SoM.
If they truly were passionate about this, the creators would put more time and effort to keep it running

2 things:
- according to some random guide that popped up in my suggested a few days ago, prot paladin soloing HoL can yield up to 900 g/h depending on local price of howdoyoucallit the relic of Ulduar? That's twice the estimate of your guide.
- I went and fished at this lake for an hour for the heck of it. Haven't moved much, fished what schools spawned near by. Got 4 stacks of angelfish, 5 stacks of bonewhatever fish. Pygmy suckerfish is extremely cheap on my realm, as well as the fish which is used for attack power food, which I got 1.5 stacks of. Anglefish at 60 g/stack and bone*** at 30 g/stack (if it sells) would yield 390 for me. Not bad for lazying about, but you still spend time.
How do you make northern spices from a fish? If I understood correctly.

this is great and everything, apart from the point where you say 3 bonescale snappers = 1 northern spice. unless im dumb and im missing something this isn't possible. and because this isn't possible your numbers suddenly aren't possible anymore. i think what you meant was 3 bonescale snappers + 1 northern spice = 1 snapper extreme (the hit food)
you can farm as much fish here as you like but your going to run out of northern spice really quick at which point this gold farm turn into a crawl as your then only able to sell the uncooked fish, which isn't a bad farm but its nowhere near the 1.4k an hour your quoting its probably 300-400g per hour at the very best

@@Scottejaye he is asking how the farm generates northern spices. Which it doesn't. So you shouldn't take the value of the northern spices into account when evaluating the value of the farm.
@@Scottejaye "it takes 3 (whilst showing a picture of a bonescale snapper with a x3 number next to it) to craft 1 northern spice" these are your exact words. but even if we ignore that as like i said you give confusing information and you meant another thing. your numbers quite simply dont add up. northern spices are needed to craft the food that your saying provides the vast majority of the gold from this farm. but you dont have any way of getting these other than to do the cooking daily or be really lucky on the fishing daily. therefore you have to buy the spices from the AH, which takes a massive cut into the 1.3k gold per hour your quoting in the video.
this farm works for maybe 15-20 minutes (the amount of time you claim to have spent fishing in the video) but after that you have no more spices left so it falls flat, you cant scale it up.
i watch most videos you throw up on this channel as the information you give is normally quite accurate but here you have made a big mistake

What I’m making is irrelevant, if I do a daily to get epicurean rewards then get northern spices and fish, cook the food and sell it. The outcome is my gold per hour; that’s the number I quoted, the amount of gold I was making with my northern spices included. I didn’t realise people would get hung up on a throw away figure when the actual gold per hour was shown at the start on RXP…….
@@Scottejaye watched it back, fair enough i was being dumb on that point. however not on my overall point. 1st of all your not making 500g an hour fishing because your using 300g (price plucked out of the air but you get the point) worth of spices. thats like saying i can make 2000g an hour if i use 1800g worth of mats, also at the end of the video you say you can make 1.5-1.6k gold an hour and at 4:25 you say you can farm all day. as i've already pointed out your not making 500g an hour using your method and even if you dont deduct the price of northern spice after 15 minutes worth of fishing you quite simply have to buy them anyway to continue to make the food.
im not saying this fishing spot isn't bad, its ok. but how you calculate the gold per hour is wrong
Edit to be clear you can make 500g an hour at this spot if you get it to yourself for the entire hour. What you absolutely 100% cannot do is make 1.5 to 1.6k an hour as you stated
The reason to why those tricks don’t work, is because people watch these videos, and they they post +200 of the same item on AH, at the lowest cost for 42 hours

On my server I fished those things for like 4 hours in week 2... what a disappointment, Northen Spices were like 13g each but the fish was like 1.5g each. I end up not selling it and just making food for myself
How to earn gold by selling fish. I'm a beginner. I am currently lvl 46. I catch a lot of fish and go to the auction house to sell. However, no one will buy. What it is? I can't earn gold. I need gold. I want to upgrade my character. It has a little power for its level.
Fishing in this spot was good. Now too many people swarm it and if on a minority faction just becomes death runs. Worst part of so much wow content is that it lets everyone in on the goldmaking sources and kills it within days.
Ive already moved to fish feasts for food buff, also helping the entire raid because this spot is now bust.

The speed pots on my server were only a bit higher price then the materials which isn’t that good. But certain foods and the spell power and crit potion is pretty decent. Make about 30-50-% on them
@@evoknz I made this amount during the start. On my server it isn't possible to make this gold anymore. The mats for making the flasks are more than the flasks themseleves. I basically got elixer master and bought the mats on the AH. I made the flasks and got procs of 4-10 instead of 2. I Jjust sold them for huge profit. Its over now though.

Jesus dude stop. I just figured out this a few days before this video dropped and started making some gold, now the dragonfin angelfish market has been completely flooded and the price has crashed 75% in the last two days.
This video is unashamedly misleading. Generally this channel has some fabulous content but @scottejaye you completely missed the mark on this one. The like to dislike ratio at this very moment is 769 thumbs up to 1.1k+ thumbs down says it all. The blatant advertising of a sub par, borderline broken, 6USD a month 3rd party service coupled with your distorted gold/hr doesn't sit well. You've come a long way from your earlier videos. Feels like you're chasing the $ and lost the passion in this one.

Any of the good farms from it i will make videos about and you don't have to pay a penny lol. As for the chasing $$, I absolutely do, not even ashamed to say it. I've made about 80k with blacksmith, also spent most of it but I feel too many people slept on making titansteel gear/weapons.
Tons of people have mining alts for daily titansteel cd and tons of people play dk but very few start an expansion with a max blacksmith it seems.
Profits per craft have gone down to abou 1k gold but I still sell enough every day to stack up some change for when ulduar hits

That 1.2k figure is absolutely bogus. You didn't even take account of the fact you needed to buy the northrend spices. Unless you actually sold the stack for 400g(200g profit when you account for paying 200g for the spices which you just stated were 10g each)
It was a throw away figure based on what I am making including northrend spices, everything is explained in the video as you've already said regarding the breakdown of what the spices are so i don't know what the confusion is. If i go and do my daily cooking quest and then fish for 10mins to use the spices, that would be how much gold i've made per hour. I even showed you the farm was like just under 500g an hour at the start lol

You'd have to put time into making gold regardless of the farm. If you're expecting to make insane amounts in short periods, you're either using the credit card or carrying GDKPs.

This time I got it in my first cast as well, and others have said so also. It can’t be some low drop rate thing.
