I've been making loads of gold selling adamantine sets to fresh 70 dks and warriors! Can't wait to make myself my big juicy 2h! My goal is to get to 77, then focus all my energy toward mining mats and storing them up!

Hey @scottejaye, im pretty sure brewfest is from sep.20-Oct 6 which gives us 10 day window to lvl up to 80 and get some gear. Could you make a short video about how feasible this is and what we have to get from the event boss? Or will it be level 70 gear? I can't find anything online about this...
Engineer, the gold is in the mote extractor farming volatile, in addition use jeeves bank and molle to dramatically speed up and increase your aoe farms. Jeeves can allow you to use your bank to stash many valuables for later auctions, which can be super godly with big bank bags. molle can also allow you to mass mail goodies to bank alts straight from the dungeon. If you have 2 accounts you can trade the cds while the others are on cd and farm near non stop gold. Ofc can also have a 2nd char in a dungeon with you as a mule to carry the loads of loot so you can make sure you got everything
Finally! I'm thankful you finally talked about the gold making potential of the Alchemy specializations in Wrath. I've been trying to figure out if I would be staying potion master or swapping to elixir for the start of Wrath. Looks like potion master it is.
Great overview. I don't understand though why no-one in WoW seems to understand that by farming the mats yourself you don't increase your profits. Example: 1hr farming some raw mat = 100g of that mat at current prices. You could sell the raw mat at that price, or not, but that's the value of that hour. You could also farm somewhere else for raw gold or whatever and make, say, 500g in that hour, and buy five times the mats. So you can just buy all raw mats for crafting, drop all farming profs, and farm gold some more efficient way with your time. With bots in the picture this scenario just becomes more evident. Why compete with bots when you can just get gold some other way and buy their mats at depressed prices?
You are right, but this will just happen if the auctionhouse on your server is filled with items. In my case blizzard transfered me from a low server to another low pop server and if it will not change at all, i will have problems to even play the auctionhouse in both ways. Buying and selling on thr auction house seems to be more a pain than a fun way of enjoying the game. I really hope that these population problems will disappear with WotLK and that the population will stabilize.
Yeah but what you don't seem to understand is how there are different types of money making. Passive, Semi afk and active. There's a difference between how much effort you want to put in for profit and what you feel like. Do you really want to grind 10 hours a day every day? just for gold? You'll hit a wall no matter what. A good player will have a balance of all 3 and be consistent with it. This whole "maximum efficiency gold per hour" is a fucking myth we arent robots
Most people don't have the gold that the bots want for the mats on the ah and it's faster to farm the mats yourself compared to grinding gold and supporting the bots

I constantly question gathering profession value. Do you really think you need it paired with a crafting? I think no. To get the most of gathering you are basically tied to doing laps of a zone for ore or herbs or killing to skin. At that point better to have 2 since you'll kill things or pass other nodes. If you only have 1 that a 1/2 the value for your time. Better to have 2 crafting and go to AH. Also doubles recipes availible while raiding. If gathering is your thing use a non raiding alt with 2x gathering. If crafting is your thing have 2x crafting. Don't mix on same character.

Not heard anything about them BUT with the glyphs from books being available on the beta and some specs being heavily balanced around their glyphs i would bet my your twitch sub they will be in

Nothing that you really NEED, but thing that are useful/fun. Biggest money sinks are the Mammoth mount 20k, Dalaran teleport ring around 8k. The rest of your money you gonna spend most likely on BoE gear, glyphs and enchants.
Tailor/Engi since vanilla, if I can farm clouds, sell eternal and buy ore I will. If having 90% of the server Engineers makes clouds rare af, I'll level an alt with mining.
All the good stuff needs rep really, but you could have an alt as a disenchanter, although getting to 75 u could make darkmoon cards. Toons need to be 75 to max proffs
Scotte, I need your input please ! I have been planning on going Fresh Server as a Mage, leveling frost until the higher levels then switching to Arcane or Fire when I get that far.... with the Nerf Hammer to Mages ability to do big pulls AOE Farming to level seems to no longer be viable... I never did the boost people thing, I simply always like AOE Mage farming to level as frost....do I hang up the wizard Hat for good and try a Shadow priest or have to run a Lock now? Are Mages going to be a super slow grind now on Fresh to level? Please shine some light on this, one of your regular fans.... Thanks......I'll be sitting in the corner with my wand and staff secured in the chest until they are needed again (If ever)

The brewfest trinkets likely share an internal cool down with the badge trinkets. These badge trinkets won’t be bis for 4 phases like they were in tbc
I'm sure you've already read the blue post that says they will restain level 70 but will work toward the achievements

there are a ton of bots manipulating the market so prices are gouged. farming yourself might actually be profit

As an additional note: More players engaging with the AH is also going to make the jobs of AH bots much harder.
How did dungeon slamming get nerfed?

Do note: Every warlock that has a brain will want the 32 slot shard bag. Since the change for warlock shards is unique to 32.

AoE grinding in open world hasn't been changed. Its only instanced mobs that are effected
