Great interview! Bode is so articulate. Lance has matured as demostrated by his humility and self -reflection. Lance has always been an amazing endurance athlete and a inspiration for those individuals recovering from cancer. Great insight into skiing: it takes miles/years and good equipment to get a sense of the physics of the snow and the fluid, dynamic, adaptable body movements required to enjoy the sport. Bode's description of the the poor physical training of the horses is really informative. It explains a lot of the horrible injuries horses are sustaining.
love it - great podcast! keep it real... "live is life" - thank you for coming "clean" (I hated your guts back in your angry days) and thank you for being the ultimate independent now... ps: this podcast connected the latest passion in my life in the 40's (skiing), vs. growing up in the Eastern block and having passion for triathlon and endurance sports... i am so glad I did not get into the "special" HS with common nosebleeds :-) ... shake and bake - i know this must have been a huge struggle! shake and bake! and so much love form the mountains
Great interview and great insight. So much crossover in both Sports of cycling in downhill skiing. Lot of similarities as far as suppressing and managing the perception of fear in motorcycle road racing. Of course you think about the top levels of MotoGP and world superbike but I think one of the most fearful places for any Rider has to be the Isle of Man. I've heard Conor Cummins, Bruce anstey, guy Martin and John McGuinness all admit they have been scared before getting to the start line. Of course, like Bode said when you know the consequences... the difference between the great and the good is the ability to manage that perception of risk and fear. 👍
Great interview. That blows my mind I thought these horses were training way more thats insane. The problem is the drugs they use on the horses as well man.

Great insight, thank you/
I twisted my knees doing a snow plough stop 20 years ago.and it still.gives me some stiffness. Cycling helped it come good.

Hope to see you get a sit down with Aaron Gwin when he retires.
My favorite part- Lance says I ski Blues you probably do Blacks. Spoken like a true Texan.

LA says nobody is interested what I have to say about it (doping). Couldn't disagree more.
Please write a better description of your guests like roll does on his podcast videos.
Gives Lance something to do (Podcast). To me thats just a lot of boring talk. Basically it is therapy for LA
Who gives a single fuck... about Armstrong's damage control campaign
