I have been following Chris Voss for a while and found this to be a very in-lighting interview. Most of the others were a repeat of what I had already heard. Thank you for giving us different content.

My oh my this was so interesting. Lance is a very good interviewer. He lets the other guy talk and if he does interrupt adds value to the conversation then lets the interviewee carry on. I'm sorry the interview ended, I wanted it to carry on.

I love your podcast I’m 52 started doing triathlon 4 years ago my goal is to make it to Kona one day does this mean if I where to meet you on a plane you would not give me the time of day. Lance everyone has a story just stop and listen you would be surprised how much more you would learn about people. I’m not ragging on you this is the vibe I got at the beginning of this interview. Thanks and keep up the great work.

I'm a big fan of Chris and Lance, thanks to both of you for this. I read, and need to re-read Never Split The Difference. Try using looks like, seems like, sounds like, and the occasional feels like phrase in you next Craigslist, marketplace, etc negotiation. Also, with price negotiation, if you're forced to give a number first, use a range instead of a hard number. Not super technical, and it works.

After watching ESPN’s 30 for 30 on Lance, I’m convinced now more than ever he is a malignant narcissist. And totally tone deaf to the worldview around him and still playing the victim. What an asshole. Having learned more about his childhood it’s easy to see how he turned out to be the kind of person he really is underneath it all. But hey, everyone has an opportunity to change and grow. That’s something that is untenable for Lance.

I think Lance is trying to live his life witch came down the hill faster them most can not understand
the repercussions that he has had.
I think its shameful to see the negative comments about some one that you can not stand in his shoes.
Lance is a complicated person and fell down the hill he climed so fast most of us could not understand.
Theses comments are not valid and hurtfull for somebody who has done so much for other people.
He has his personel problem i have mine too.
I see its ease to criticize here and forget all the good he has done.

3:43 a brilliant marketer? You mean con man who blusters, right? That’s the opposite of brilliant marketing which is authentic, insight based and of a serving nature. I just finished Mary Trump’s book in which she details how Fred Senior pushed Donald to be the family front man because of his ability to grandstand and bluster and talk a good talk. He’s good at being a “promoter” But I would hardly call that brilliant marketing.
