The little green machine I have it, for years now. I love it! I actually clean my mattress once a year with it,you wouldnt believe how good it smells after!!! couches, car seats, carpet, curtains! Anything you can't put in the wash, best cleaning gadget I ever bought! I've let my ex mother in law and sister in law borrow it, they lived it so much they went and bought their own hah
I have the bissel little green machine, and I noticed there wasn’t a bunch of water coming out. You have to push really hard to get the liquid out of the carpet! I also use Folex cleaner spray and it works amazing. It would get allll of your stains out!
Sarah Murray strip washing literally does nothing. If you’re getting dirty colooured water after soaking clean laundry, you’re not washing properly in the first place. I did this as well because I fell for the lie. I stirred thoroughly, and absolutely nothing. You need to buy a better quality of detergent and select a better wash cycle.
Hi Rachel, I need to do some deep cleaning in my car!! If you ever find a good vacuum for your car let me know cause our parking lot is far from the house and we always need a battery powered one.
I hate to add to the people that say they know what they are talking about, but the musty smell I realised was coming from the machine itself, then found out washing machines reeeeeally need to be cleaned regularly. If you use a front loader, they are NOTORIOUS for trapping gunk all in the bottom, around the seals ets. The first time I got fed up with my boyfriends clean washing smelling musty i had to run two cleaners through the machine, as well as take out the seals and clean everywhere possible. Now he runs a (bought) cleaning solution through it once a month and the smell has gone. If you have a top loader you can still run cleaners through it and it makes a huge difference. I use one called Dr Beckmann's washing machine cleaner and follow the instructions, plus looked up how to reach all the hidden spots in this particular front loader after running one cleaner through, then ran a second. Washing machines need to be cleaned too!!!!
I can’t be the only one that knew the tub thing with the laundry wasn’t really going to do anything lol. The water was just foggy MOSTLY because of the soap products sitting for 5 hours. I didn’t know people had an issue going on with a musty smell in their clean towels... I’ve never experienced that other than when clothes aren’t dry enough coming out of the dryer.
Just a regular toothbrush works fine for cleaning difficult areas in the bathroom. I put my old toothbrushes to use in cleaning...as a way to recycle them...
The Detail Geek here on UA-cam has a different spot cleaner but you might be able to check out his technique so that you can get the most out of yours! He used his for vehicles so that’ll be different, but he has a really good technique!
Nail polish won't come out from a carpet cleaner, use a small amount of pure acetone and keep dabbing it with paper towels. Keep repeating and it will come right out.
For the bissell cleaner try to add laundry detergent to the water. I use that instead of the stuff it comes with. And also you are supposed to spray and drag the sucker at the same time as well as use the scrubber to get out stubborn stains.
I love to watch @TheDetailGeek all the time, and he recommends a different spot-cleaning machine that has a spinning brush, and honestly I've seen that thing pull up some INSANE stains! Maybe you should try that one out to see if it would work better?
I’ve had the Bissell cleaner for a long time and I prefer to apply my cleaner separately (i.e. from a spray bottle, cloth, or brush) then use the Bissell to rinse with clean water and remove everything with the vacuum. That way you’re not leaving cleaner in the carpet or fabric. I usually use a Dawn Dish Detergent solution as my cleaner. You have to use the vacuum more than you think to really get it semi-dry. Go in different directions and angles to get the most removal. 👍🏻👍🏻
My dumb self got hair dye all over my carpet, and to make matters worse, it was BRIGHT. ORANGE.... I used the powder Oxi Clean that comes in a big tub and it came out entirely! I sprayed it with water, sprinkled some oxi clean on it, and then scrubbed it after a few minutes with a wash cloth, and it came RIGHT OUT!!!!!!
i honestly don't see why the laundry thing is even a thing. literally everyone i've seen try it has the same lack luster results except those that post it on tiktok which, (why is that even popular again? it pretty much died a few years ago now it's back...) but honestly, once you get done with that, you have to take all that SOPPING WET laundry that was freshly washed just 5 hours ago, and wash and dry it AGAIN..... seriously, those who try this without running through another wash cycle afterwards are asking for allergic reactions. i had a friend end up in the hospital because of her roomie NOT washing the things after trying this, and my friend is extremely allergic to most soaps. like she has to doube/triple rinse her laundry and she STILL breaks out in hives
Instead of spending the money in the electric clothes shaver, just go to the dollar store and buy a package of cheap razors. Does a MUCH better job for a fraction if the price and about the same amount of effort. I've had a Bissell Mean Green Machine (I think that's what it's called) as well as a Bissell Spot Lifter, for YEARS!!! I'm not sure which one you have. One of mine is a machine that you simply add water and cleaner to and sit the machine on the spot and leave it for a certain amount of time (according to on the directions), then when you lift the machine, the stain is gone!
Seconding the comments about using less solution with the Bissell and going slower. You have to spend more time vacuuming it up than wetting & setting. 🙂 It's also good to do a couple rinses with non-soapy water and more time sucking it up. I've had one of those for ages, and it has been a GODSEND for pet stains, nasty car messes, and baby/kid car seats. You'll get a lot of use out of it with little kids! 🙂
I love my green machine! When I bought my car, the previous owner thought it would be funny to slam on his breaks when a friend went to take a drink of his coffee (I was assured that it wasn't hot) and it stained the fabric on the roof from the passenger seat all the way to the back window, so it was nasty, huge and old. I used my green machine and got the entire stain out! My husband and I own a delivery company and unfortunately sometimes things spill onto my seats, everything from pop to pasta sauce and thanks to my green machine, there is no indication of any of them. I used it on my kitchen chairs too, which look new again. I bought mine at Walmart, so there was no waiting for it to be delivered lol.
The laundry stripping sounds silly. Why not just add the borax and the washing soda to your machine, set it to soak and then run the usual cycle? It sounds like the people getting the really gross results probably have old washing machines that aren’t working very well anymore. I know that when we replaced our 23 yr old washer (that was having issues because the agitator was broken or breaking), I noticed a huge difference in our laundry. Even machines that are 10 years old are likely out of date, technology-wise, and are probably not doing as good a cleaning job as they once did, especially if you’re talking about doing laundry for a whole family.
I pulled all my 22 year-old sons white socks and stripped them last Friday after see this on She’s in Her Apron. It was just like the videos you mentioned in TikTok. There was literally dirt and sand in the tub. I followed up with a super wash cycle of bleach and vinegar with 2 rinses. It really made a difference! I’m doing the 13 year old boy socks today and expect it to be worse lol
Go to @gocleanco's Instagram. They have a lot of cleaning hacks. And a whole story highlight on laundry stripping. I did my husband's jeans and they came out looking brand new. Stripped all the oil and dirt build up that regular washing doesn't get out. Highly recommend.
I have the bissell machine and id like to say it doesn’t really seem like it was picking up much of the water? Unless you barely used any solution. What I normally do is use some laundry detergent or sometimes Lysol concentrate diluted (depending on the mess) and ONLY WARM WATER in the machine. Spray or rub the solution on, you can even use the little scrub attachment with the machine turned off and then turn it on and spray the water to dilute all the soap and suck it up. If you leave soap/detergent/solution in your carpet it will actually get dirtier over time because any drop of water reactivates the soap left in the fibers and makes your carpet act as a scrubber brush to clean dirty things, leaving the carpet dirty and stained. Hopefully this helped someone. I also HIGHLY recommend the bissell crosswave as it literally changed my life and is one of the only hard floor cleaners that actually uses two clean water and sucks up dirty water (instead of spreading dirt around like the bottom of a swiffer pad would do.) it has a clean water tank and dirty water tank it’s basically like this but it works like a regular vacuum that also washes your carpets and hard floors simultaneously. (I also use a sanitizing solution in it for extra cleanliness. ) Sorry for the long comment but this stuff changed my life and how easy it was to keep my space clean so I hope it helps someone else.
The "Little green bissell" is for small spots. (Again, no "weird gadgets" just common things used to clean)> just Get (buy or rent) a proper carpet cleaning to clean large surfaces ugh
Yup, as a chronically ill person who just *can't* clean, nevermind deep clean, as frequently as one should I'm like "you think that's dirty??" 😂 I'm defo gonna try the laundry one on my bedclothes
Oh man. I didn’t know the little green machine was so popular. I bought it about a year ago to clean the mini van I bought. It was INSANE how much it cleaned the seats and rugs. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
My dryer SUCKS so we have to dry stuff on hangers. Always put things in the sun. I had a pair of jeans that smelled musty (cheap cloth) that I dried in the sun finally after 3 years of trying to put them in a dryer...they no longer smell musty
You can add the baking soda + the laundry detergent in the washing machine, and leave the clothes soaking overnight. Then, turn the washer on in the morning 🙌🏻
None of the items shown in this video are "weird" as the author claims. Those are common cleaning gadgets and/or methods used in the past (probably before she was born...LOL)
General tipp re the bathtub-cleaner thing: u do not need to do this unless ur washing machine is a) very old or b) was extremely cheap and/or low quality. Newer machines get everything out so this would just be a waste of money & water

That first borax soda etc mix is just what i use everytime i wash my clothes anyway its pretty traditional method idk what the peoples mega gross pics are doing normally cause its clearly not washing it.
I think the other pictures are just the dyes from the clothes bleeding into the water
@@reneesampson6354 ahh i didnt think of that! Thanks for sharing certainly makes more sense i was wondering why it looks like the water pot from painting all bluey grey and gross like i couldnt think of anything that would be dirty enough to make that colour even dust storms or floods here arent that dirty.
@@EmmaAppleBerry either that or someone did it before they washed their clothes when they were really dirty
Is there an update on Conner is everyone home & healthy again?
Well, don't know, but i don't think she would be making videos otherwise.
@@xDenituUx you can schedule videos for upload ahead of time though and most professional youtubers usually have about 3-5 videos ready to be uploaded so that if something does happen theyve still got videos up and going out, a lot of them do this so they can take a month off of youtube and not stop uploading etc thats why i was wondering that and she hasnt updated on the community page or instagram or as far as ive seen in video.
Last time I heard she's posted that they were home on Instagram. It's on the same post as she mention hearing about George Floyd. Unfortunately a few people got upset she decided to mention her sick child was okay in the same post so if it's not still there she probably changed it...
@@lacytaylor1501 ahh thanks for letting me know 😊😊😊
My biggest advice with the Bissell is to get the extra cleaning products to use as well as the ones it comes with! I got the oxy boost solution and the tough stain pre treater and they made SUCH a difference. My couch was feral and using the pre treater helped me get all the really old stains out. It got so much gross water out of my couch it was crazy and the water was so dirty it was opaque 😂 so satisfying
You kill me with “ouch” stirring lmao! 🤠
I’ve read that over time stripping clothes in the tub can damage the surface of it, just FYI.
Seeing how clean that bathtub is made me feel some deeeep shame about my own bathroom(s). Didn't expect to feel so convicted while watching these.
Totally should’ve taken a cup of the clean water out and a cup of the dirty water out for a better comparison! Would’ve looked so satisfying 😍
“I seriously need to clean things”... my entire life in that sentence 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Clean your car seats with the green machine and you’ll notice a difference 10000%. And use a decent amount a spray!
I have the bissel little green machine, and I noticed there wasn’t a bunch of water coming out. You have to push really hard to get the liquid out of the carpet! I also use Folex cleaner spray and it works amazing. It would get allll of your stains out!
Okay hol' up.. That wasn't stirring, I think that if you had squeezed and mixed the water, it would have worked far better..
I love my Bissel Cleaner. I spray shout on stain spots and wait 5 minutes then shampoo...everything has come up..
I couldn’t see the coffee stain. So I was like, looks good to me. 🤷♀️😁
Hi Rachel, I need to do some deep cleaning in my car!! If you ever find a good vacuum for your car let me know cause our parking lot is far from the house and we always need a battery powered one.
I have heard good things about the Dyson handheld one. No idea if it's true, but at least Moriah Elizabeth swears by it.
That area under the stink faucets needs a steamer to get it REALLY clean.
i've never seen anyone who'd wish for their laundry to be dirty even after washing, like u did in this video :D :D
I would think the brown water would be more towards people who smoke, but I’m still mad that it didn’t work like the tiktoks 🤣😭
For gout use the magic erasers from Mr Clean. Our dollar store sells them to. But works amazing on grout.
I have the chom chom roller and it’s amazing. The key to getting the hair up faster is to go back and forth fast over the area ❤️
I can’t be the only one that knew the tub thing with the laundry wasn’t really going to do anything lol. The water was just foggy MOSTLY because of the soap products sitting for 5 hours. I didn’t know people had an issue going on with a musty smell in their clean towels... I’ve never experienced that other than when clothes aren’t dry enough coming out of the dryer.
my mom has had one of those little green bissells for almost 20 years and it was one oof the first things i bought when i bought a house
The editing for this video is EVERYTHING
My Nana used to have on of the things for pilling. I used to love playing with it so she would save things for when I come to visit!
Lululemon pills!?! What on earth is the point of spending THAT kind of money on clothing that is going to pill? High quality clothing does not pill!
Just a regular toothbrush works fine for cleaning difficult areas in the bathroom. I put my old toothbrushes to use in cleaning...as a way to recycle them...
Yea it's time I move away from the damn news and everything going on and watch just random fun videos lol
We use the "toothbrush" for cleaning the runners in our sliding door and edges of the windows
My family has literally has the same sweater shaver since I was a child and it still works
The Detail Geek here on UA-cam has a different spot cleaner but you might be able to check out his technique so that you can get the most out of yours! He used his for vehicles so that’ll be different, but he has a really good technique!
He uses the bissel spot clean pro and a drill brush.
The Bissell spot clean doesn't really pick up the residue water, most of the water is still left in the fabric cleaned. Wouldn't buy.
I’ve had a Chom Chom for years, it is THE best gadget I’ve ever bought.
I "strip" my cloth diapers! Same idea as the laundry.
Yes! That is a must for cloth diapering.
I actually just cleaned an old battery electric toothbrush and use that for cleaning ..perfection
His videos are addicting, even though some of those vehicles make my stomach churn when he first gets them!
@@lindseylocker I know! But its so satisfying to see the before and after shots 😍
honestly with this content and editing quality, you deserve AT LEAST a million subs!! I love ur videos
If anyone everrr says Rachel doesnt drink coffee, CALL THEM LIARS QUICKLY!
i honestly don't see why the laundry thing is even a thing. literally everyone i've seen try it has the same lack luster results except those that post it on tiktok which, (why is that even popular again? it pretty much died a few years ago now it's back...) but honestly, once you get done with that, you have to take all that SOPPING WET laundry that was freshly washed just 5 hours ago, and wash and dry it AGAIN.....
seriously, those who try this without running through another wash cycle afterwards are asking for allergic reactions. i had a friend end up in the hospital because of her roomie NOT washing the things after trying this, and my friend is extremely allergic to most soaps. like she has to doube/triple rinse her laundry and she STILL breaks out in hives
I've been using the bissle little green machine for years! It is the best thing ever. I can't believe people are only now discovering it. 😲
(I also use a sanitizing solution in it for extra cleanliness. )
Sorry for the long comment but this stuff changed my life and how easy it was to keep my space clean so I hope it helps someone else.
The "Little green bissell" is for small spots. (Again, no "weird gadgets" just common things used to clean)> just Get (buy or rent) a proper carpet cleaning to clean large surfaces ugh
This was highly disappointing. I think her stuff is just too clean. Bring on the funk!
Yeah, borax may be toxic--so keep it very safe from kids/pets. It seems to be a constant debate, but it's not a "safe" cleaner. Just FYI.
My dryer SUCKS so we have to dry stuff on hangers. Always put things in the sun. I had a pair of jeans that smelled musty (cheap cloth) that I dried in the sun finally after 3 years of trying to put them in a dryer...they no longer smell musty
Well borax is banned and illegal in Europe... can't try that hack..
You can add the baking soda + the laundry detergent in the washing machine, and leave the clothes soaking overnight. Then, turn the washer on in the morning 🙌🏻
Also! Dryer + sun dried clothes smell way better
@@paudlb5613 yeah i know 😀

General tipp re the bathtub-cleaner thing: u do not need to do this unless ur washing machine is a) very old or b) was extremely cheap and/or low quality. Newer machines get everything out so this would just be a waste of money & water
