40K lore was always stupid and inconsistent. Kind of why it's awesome. It isn't bogged down by lore written two millennia ago. Womble needs to stop being a pussy.
20:00 Really nice that thanks to his insight into the lore he instantly stumbled on the most important plot point and character development of Titus. After Leandros reported him to the Inquisition he completely lost trust in brotherhood of the chapter, except it's not really revealed until the ending of the game. The narrative (mainly the Chaplain lol) wants you to think it's about Titus regaining the trust of his brothers and you spend the whole game wondering why Titus is such an emo prick, when in reality it's the other way around. The story is about him regaining the trust in the brotherhood.
41:30: So tl;dr of what happened with Titus after Space Marine 1: The Inquisitor he got handed to by Leandros turned out to be a nutjob with a personal hatred for Space Marines, and essentially kept Titus (and a bunch of other loyalist marines) locked up in stasis interrupted by torture sessions for almost century while ghosting any attempts by the Ultramarines to contact him to get Titus back. In the end, the Inquisitor got outright corrupted, caused a minor daemonic incursion and got himself splattered by a Grey Knights intervention for that. Said Grey Knights freed Titus, who then (because the Inquisitor had deleted all communications) got the false impression that his chapter hadn't been looking for him and hence that they didn't want him back. So he went to the Deathwatch as a Blackshield because that was basically the only way he saw to continue doing his duty as an Astartes. By the time the game's campaign starts, he's been serving as a Blackshield for damn near a century, and become a Kill Team leader.
Been away from SovietWomble for a few years because I got annoyed he got rid of a streaming archive channel. ...well it had more to do with distractions caused by deaths in family over said years that kept me occupied but I see there is another archive channel. Sweet! I still wish I could have found archives of his Alien Isolation series.
Honestly that whole thing still rubs me the wrong way to this day. He was kinda just an asshole about it and made extremely weak arguments as to why it shouldn't exist and then went ahead and got rid of it anyway despite literally everyone and their dog telling him not to.or even the maker of the archive channel OFFERING it to him for FREE
@@saintariser8507 Same here. I think I unsubscribed from some reaction channels at the time because I had originally found them through reactions on the Bullshittery videos. Maybe my memory was foggy but I don't recall there being a easily accessible official archive channel at the time for Soviet Womble. And due to my own schedules and that Womble lives on the other side of the planet from me I loved watching archive videos bits at a time for fun or as background noise. Streaming archives lets people catch up, see missed content, and go at their own pace. Technically Womble didn't do anything bad but it sure felt wrong. Though it was not remotely as bad as how Games Workshop acted towards fan content in recent years. I miss TTS.
Isn't this the guy with a dont talk about warhammer piece of paper posted to his wall and then immediately started talking about magnus the red? How do you know nothing about space marine II
@@andrewdowns9047 Oh believe me I know. In my 20 years of being a warhammer fan I've got close to $10k in models and have read upward of 50 novels at minimum. The urge to tell people how over the top and cool the 40k fictional universe is is overwhelming
The only thing I know about Warhammer 40k is that saying "The Tau are the factually correct and morally superior group in all this" makes a lot of Imperium Of Man fans upset, and pissing off a group called "the Imperium of Man" whose primary meme is obliterating aliens is a good goal to have in life.
Oh sweet, cyanide is still part of the ZF gang. I don't follow them on social or streaming, and I hadn't seen CY in the last few soviet womble videos. (feels like years with womble's anti-schedule)
Well, back when it was introduced a lot of people was annoyed with some mechanicus guy just pulling shittton of astartes from his ass and, on top of that, beeing able to to improve upon the original work. Another issue - minis changed radically. And another price increase. Edit: forgot to mention, that introduction of primarily basically made firstborn armies useless/unplayable. Hobbyists don't like stiff like that.
@@neomiteyt Depends who you ask, personally i think its lore good, updating the setting a bit, but alot of old warhammer fans (womble) dont like the pull away from imperial decay, as well as the imperium having acess to new tech thats better than old tech, basically advancing in technology. Personally i think it makes no sense the imperium cant build new tech well, and thats what the lore has been trying to adress lately, but old men dont like change. TLDR; Womble is used to the imperial decay new tech is always worse than old, doesnt like how the imperium is advancing again, and doesnt like the new marines cause they are....well..new, and change up the setting.
With time the lore around Primaris became a lot more palatable as they expanded it to fit the universe. Most people who still hate it just because of aesthetics and/or because they completely outshine firstborn crunchwise.
3:50 Space Marine 2
50:59 Cyanide joins
1:15:52 Kyle joins
3:03:42 End of Stream
thank you m´lord
I love that Soviet knows what a Blackshield is, but doesn't know a single iota of lore of the Space Marine games
Cyanide saying 'Auspex scan' is useless is so hilarious, given they don't know it increases damage. And in Operations, it can be utterly busted.
Not to mention pvp.
Womble says: "My friend is a bid simple, so we need to speak slowly".
Chat and myself: Its Cyanide.
38:16 Well the whole point of being a Black Shield is their origin is unknown so probably not.
Hmm, I thought Soviet said he was “done” with 40k due to lore being all over the place. Seems Warhammer sucks everyone back in lol
fuck the tabletop, a video game is a video game
It's a compelling and emotionally evocative setting.
When you're here, you're here forever.

I'm the same as Soviet. Love the game but as for the hobby...yeah, I'm good thanks
It's a shame what a letdown the pyreblaster was, with how good flame weapons can be in 40K. Still, minor complaint.
Has to be installed on an SSD, had the same issue with frames until I reinstalled

damn. cyanide was right. womble were slow learner
I can't wait for more the forest content. Your video on the first one is incredible.

complaining about how some guy deleted some fvckin videos from his channel... u lil cnuts need to get a life, seriously

It's a common practice for Warhammer fans to try and not talk about Warhammer, because once we start we never stop.

I cannot wait for their reaction to the big brother and his arm. :)
56:30 In real early lore, an ultramarines chaplain would shit in a cup and the initiates would eat it to "gain memories" or smth like that
I didn’t realize just how much Soviet knew about warhammer lore
Good to see Womble and Cy back.
Can't wait to see a video on this few decades later

Does anyone here know why soviet doesn't like the new primaris lore?
To be honest as someone new it seems like people hate the Primaris lore about as much as they despise Ultramarines and T'au

Was the addition of the primaris lore good or did people not like it for some reason?

Cyanide doesn't sound right.
every twitch chat is a blight on the universe and should never be shown on VODs

Oh my god HELP!!
Titus getting downgraded to a Primaris is the only thing I hate about this game
