You’re right about those revo headers. A pain in the ass! I believe traxxas makes that header with a spring version. I don’t remember if it’s for the trx engines or to be used for aftermarket engines.
Need to run some of mine again! Been pretty sidelined on RC all spring and summer to get grampa's 71 C10 back on the road but I'm at the point where I am driving it to work one day out of five so it's time to get the RC's limbered up again.
@@thebug4046 The only thing left on my Chevy before I can daily drive it is a clutch change, and I want to work on the bed floor a bit, but ye. An unexpected blessing fell into my lap in march and it made me put my entire RC hobby on pause to work on it. Grampa's old truck is slow AF...250 I6, 3 on the Tree...but it runs like it still has a warranty and doesn't leak a drop of ANYTHING. Drives great. Ride is sublime. Love it! I think I'll start with some planes! Two Saito 40s on a VQ A26K and an OS FT-120 Gemini II on a 25% Spacewalker this saturday. Fly in at my club. It will tote them there and I'll let 'em eat in the skies above!
@@TestECull nice man! That's what I learned to drive in was a 70 C10 250 6 with a 3 in the tree! Awesome old truck I miss it a lot. It was my old man's he had it sitting 1983 and sadly it got stolen off his property after he was found past away and ended up being destroyed and crushed witch nearly killed me when I found out. Keep that ole truck alive as long as you can man! 💯🍻
@@thebug4046 My forever daily! My dad learned to drive in this one too. Never been out of my family. I inherited it because my aunt on that side was selling the property it was stored at and they figured offer it to me before dealing with facebook tire-kickers or the scrap man. It took me all of 5 minutes to get that ol' six buzzing again after 20 years in a shed. File the points, disconnect the tank, rig a nursing bottle, put some fuel in the bowl, hot battery, twist the key, and it busted right off.
@@TestECull That's awesome and that's what's so nice about the old vehicles so simplistic you can get them running with any rubber bands or duct tape you have around not like today's computerized garbage that has a fit if you don't get the tire pressure right haha
Hey bug great vid got to see the Revo for a little while anyways lol anyway speaking of Revo, can you tell me of a good header? I’ve already burnt and broke off too on my Revo. I just got going. Thanks buddy great vid.
Traxxas 5340X and Traxxas 5254 for the spring mount header kit. The bolt on header is a bit weak spot for the revo. And an update the Ritter pipe i fitted really woke up that old 3.3 the owner is going with an OS 11KR carburetor next an the same header parts. Thanks for watchin! And keep on Burning Nitro! 😎💯🍻
Hey Bug, great video running all nitros. I have a question, I have a team associated rc10gt roller chassis and not sure which engine to put into it. A os cv 15 engine that I am in the process of fixing with new parts or should I get a SH 18 engine? Also should i use a regular pipe or something else? thanks.
Thanks for watchin! And the SH 18 is hard to find right now for whatever reason so the next best thing would be a VX 18 engine and the factory ae pipes run pretty good! No one really makes good small block pipes anymore unfortunately
