As someone who has played this game a few times, and just 42 minutes into the VOD. It is so anxiety-inducing seeing RT not deny anyone when you know this game *will* punish people who are too generous and don’t maintain some reasonable amount of savings.
I was actually able to manage being generous, and only had to deny about 6-8 people, no important (savable) character died, saved all agents, (Stan, Alena, Velek) and had about 20 supplies, 18 gold, 386 army members, and 127 contentment at the end of the game. Bought all upgrades, bought the most expensive dress, got all 10 crates of supplies, and only used the loaning system twice. I didn’t even side with Noaksey.
This game is so good at emulating that feeling of fragile power, the ability to do anything with any resulting consequence, and the absolute tragedy of sacrifice to ensure the safety, prosperity and overall wellness of god knows how many people. You are at the complete and utter MERCY of the other lords, the universe, and even yourself. This kind of character story is so interesting too, and I wish this was done more with characters in positions of power in a bad governmental system, instead of being one-note greedy uncaring villains that I (at least) see all the time.
It's also funny seeing the adverse effects of that stress taking effect when RT gets so desperate he buys someguy's cock in hopes it will guide him in future conversations, guess that choice at least turned out to be a benefit for one character ingame... even if it was only a short-term benefit.
@@TruffleSeeker54 I got bad vibes from him when I saw him but I will say I do feel a bit sympathetic for him given his ma is sick and sometimes when someone is desperate enough they hurt folks around them when they can’t help someone they care for even when they try their damndest to help them get better.
58:59 59:25 He was clearly bloody scamming you XD, like if he's already falling for a guy this obvious... this ain't gonna go well... He's literally surprised you were stupid enough to think 1 gold every week was fair. Haha, also the smudge thing was so predictable can't believe he let her take the l'escargot to the wedding. 2:30:01 now he just got scammed by the same person twice that's impressive. (For reference: He gave this guy like 12 gold or something to build his tavern, and now he's giving him another 28 to hire full time guards. that's -40, and on top of that when sharing the profits he got scammed for 1 gold a week (instead of 2 or 3) which means he's only returned like 12 gold or something at this point so that's still -28. Like if he didn't get scammed in the first place and was actually getting like 3 gold a week from this guys and had made a total of 36 gold back from him it might have been worth it. That way he'd only be -4 and but because of the +3 every week he would start to actually go into the green. But now he's just losing money like crazy and it would take *28 weeks* to make it back and even if he does get increased profits afterwards it would still take 14 weeks. Also that cock joke is way too much XD, it's not just a cock it's a BLACK MAGICAL COCK which will make for a fine SADDLE for PRINCE STABBER to RIDE on. 3:21:40 the witch was 11 gold to hire so that would have actually been a lot cheaper. 3:22:45 Like why not??? he literally asks you to send the witch and it's 12 gold cheaper. 4:30:00 RT Logic:Dealing with actual bandits who extort, steal and rape, Nah! Babuska? Yah! 4:49:56 I mean he came to let you know because you very much made a wrong decision there. 5:35:58 Even if it's Ivo, Etton makes the most sense IMO, he could have easily planted that letter considering he used his "selective memory" to conveniently remember he "saw something" at the gardens, only to convince you to buy drugs. How would he know about that letter unless he planted it there himself. Like that's a self report if I ever saw one XD, besides he choose to keep that evidence from you until he wanted to convince you to buy drugs. All other evidence points to him, Noa was clearly in the cellar at some point but he was drunk and having a "conversation" and just lost that tooth on accident. Either that or Etton as a merchant could have just acquired the tooth to shift the blame away from himself. 5:45:14 yeah I really don't get why you'd choose Audrey to die instead of Etton.

Asalia and Maya famous best friends. Some historians say they were even roommates.

I love how most of the characters have really nice mythical sounding names and then there's just... Stan

I love how Dan straight up kills a man in the intro and a minute later decides to be "a gracious king"
Also RIP Audrey. It should have been Etton.

Mmm go watch House of Dragons if you haven’t already. Seems they provide some of the character development in a similar setting that you crave

But its not historically accurate at all now is it? Aboriginal people lived in peace until the crown arrived...
RIP Audry. Your sacrifice for drive king till the very end tho he is pure and kindness to not kill anyone as true king with good heart
Drift King
living in a kingdom under the rule of Daniel the Wise would be so UA-cam!
This made me pick up this game again. It wasn't complete last I touched it (I think). I'm glad I did, and I hope to see RT finish the game.
Oh my gosh I remember playing this game a few years back, such a good game
"Like Long live the queen but more brutal"? You mean even MORE TENTACLES??
The game is polish so it's funny to see you attempt to pronounce the polish-sounding names, especially place names.
This. This was the game that let me discover RT's archive channel. I'm glad.
If I had to guess Ivo might have offed his father so he could become king and screw you over just because he could once he was king
