Honestly I played it and I didn't feel like that. It makes sense you have less room when you're moving into someone else's place and we pretty easily take over his living room with all our stuff.
it's less that there's no space and more he didn't make the space. you're allowed to move everything so it's actually pretty easy to fit your stuff away (minus the diploma, screw him for that) but he didn't even bother to clean up his drawers beforehand

I was not a fan of this game's art style and premise, but I was shocked that I was so enthralled in this. I initially put the vod to watch in the background but quickly stopped what I was doing to glue my eyes to the screen. I think that the point of video games in general should be to convey an experience that can only be told by being a game, and this is a perfect example of that. For example, a book could never take us through the journey within environments that this game takes you in the same way. Even down to the way Dan pauses at the end of finishing a level, just to appreciate all the work put into it, I think helps convey the feeling of time passing and accentuates the time skip. This method of storytelling makes this game easily one of my favourites for the unique feeling of emphasis in spacial awareness and passage of time.
Fun fact! This game has dark stars, when you put everything in the wrong place. If you feel like making more people mad RT, I would love to watch a stream of you messing everything up as much as possible. Bonus challenge to not put anything on the floor.
I didn't know that! Dude, your comment singlehandedly made me reinstall the game and spend half a day completing the dark star path, giggling like a maniac, cramming the living room full of pots and pans and cutlery, putting all the plants in the crib and tossing the cane-and-umbrellas basket on top of the fridge. The end-of-level messages were fun. And the most satisfying thing was: in the last house, ALL those heaps of clothes from the walk-in closet fit PERFECTLY on the four steps of the staircase in the entryway. Just like the devs intended. Gotta try avoiding the floor in a few days, idk if the first level will be possible though
The way he unpacks makes sense to me. It allows you to see everything you are working with. You can assess amount, size, and what location would work best for the categories you've decided to break them down into. It makes the unknown known and workable.
I wish chat wouldn’t make fun of Dan for the way he processes unpacking. :( Part of the fun of watching people play this game is seeing the different unpacking philosophies they have, and I just hope that he didn’t feel bad for the way he has to process unpacking! It's there because it fits best and you don't want to be walking around naked/barefoot so quickly change underwear and socks then go get clothes.

The small drawers in your dresser is for underwear, socks, and bras! Clearly RT is not a women, we have so many that we need the dresser. Nightstand drawers are for chargers, spare items, and chocolate/candy
Also when he's like 'how many pairs of underwear do you need?' in the college apartment but it's only 12?? I have like 12 normal underpants and then an also bunch of special occasion stuff like fancy lace and thongs and stuff. With how little underwear do men get by?

Also technically I do keep my underwear and socks by my bed (My bed has compartments underneath it and I put them there instead of in my closet,) but I don't feel like it's "correct." I've had my underwear and socks in nightstand drawers in the past at some point but I don't remember it too well. Needless to say it doesn't feel "right" in that certain things have to go in certain places. Like how it's weird to put a microwave on top of a fridge LMAO
If the fridge is small sure, but uhhhhh how are you supposed to use a microwave on top of a "normal sized" fridge?
I've seen microwaves above fridges but uh... The microwave is normally in the wall.
Unless she's planning on taking the microwave down to use it. It's still tedious.

Also the socks are...floofier than the undies, they're more rounded. And the undies have BOWS and BUTTONS on them

Night stands are for pleasantries while in bed like books, a cup of water, and phone chargers and electronics. Dresser or closets are for clothing like pants, shirts, AND UNDERWEAR
The top of the nightstand is for that. Then you usually have 3 drawers and one of those is usually socks and one is usually underwear.
@@cait812 But like if the argument is "when im getting out of bed I want those next to me" like why don't you have a full clothing set there instead then?
@@YoursTrulyAudrey It's more so just a room thing? Like. They fit easiest there and it leaves other drawers open for clothes. Like closets aren't a thing where I am and most wardrobes are pretty small and without small drawers. Usually towels and bedding go in the big ones. Out of curiosity where are you from? Also how are you fitting a whole bunch of clothes in the bedside table? It's there because it fits best and you don't want to be walking around naked/barefoot so quickly change underwear and socks then go get clothes.
