@@Willsurf sounds hectic! These weren’t poisonous and were super small (just the tip snapped and stayed in). But yeah was quite uncomfortable for a few days

The best thing I recommend is to go on the internet and search “surfboard volume calculator”. I personally think JS Industries has the best one on their website.
Then you’ll just put your height, weight, ability and stuff in, then it recommends the best length, volume and overall board dimensions for you. Everyone rides/needs a different sized board, so this is the best way to know what you should be on 🤙🏽

Blackrock as we call it really cranks at 6 - 8 foot,watch ya car,lots of weird stuff goes down,it's not always a good time,yes the environment is beautiful,but there are alot of small minded people in these neck of the woods,before some muppet wants to argue,be racist or flex their petty ego,i've been all over the south coast and there are many better waves and locations that remain unknown.peace n rock on.

Surfed this spot in about ‘86 with only three of us out. Such a great spot but very shallow. Carpark security was a thing then too.

Great spot but it’s been blown up and so crowded now. We use to respect the locals there when we were kids and they would give us waves it we waited out turn but. Is it’s a shit show unfortunately :(

Lid riders have ruined it. First discovered by surfers..overtaken by gut sliders
I don’t discriminate but it was a first for me being in the lineup with more boogs than sticks
I honestly havent seen a skid lid in the surf for probably 15 years. They have died a natural death here in NZ. You might see Little kids on boogie boards in the shore breaks but never on the points. Kinda sad seeing them in waves like that. Annoying as hell i bet.
That’s mental! We have heaps here in Australia. Some of my good mates boog. I don’t discriminate haha as long as everyone is enjoying the waves that’s all that matters!
The good thing was these boys were doing 4-man party waves so it would empty the lineup for a few minutes 😂
