Hi Sensei Yonezuka. Very cool technique. Was this the throw Jack attempted at the olympics before the final shido? I thought it was ippon and jumped in excitement (USA!) when watching live. There was no commentary for the shido, can you explain what happened? Thank you!
@@neuro_driguez I really don’t know, other than they said he grabbed the leg before he got into the pin when his opponent tried Sumi. But this is newaza and is legal
@@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc4931 It seemed to me that his left hand was already near the leg as they were going down, so it happened quick in transition to ne waza which may have confused the refs. Tough call but Jack looked explosive and hungry out there, thats for sure! Wishing yall success moving forward!
Let's remember that this technique is not kata-guruma as it uses the principle of sacrifice (sutemi). This technique presented in the video is a variation of uki-waza.
Thank you for the new upload ...nice execution of the technique.
I've been away for a bit my god I love Judo such elegant violence. Great job as always.
Great instruction as always, thanks!
Good luck Jack go get those ippons
