      Paul2nis These guys are chess hustlers. They're lots better than you think. Hence why I stated 'help the young man gain confidence.' Come on man.

      +Jman_ 5540 (Jman_5540) the boy asked if they are playing "touch move". Typically chess is played this way, but the opponent decided to let the boy correct his mistake when he didn't have to. It cost him the match.

      Having played with some of them, most are 1500-1600 elo. Few are quite higher.
      If they are nice, like this man, they are all the more fun to play with.

    • @FurtherReview
      @FurtherReview 7 років тому

      Well, when his dad is bragging about how his kid beat the hustler, it invites observations such as the fact that the hustler allowed the kid to take back his rook move after he took his hand off the piece.

    holy shit the amount of people saying he missed checkmate at 3:50 with Rh8 don't realise he's is in check. The incredible thing is nobody in the comments mentioned Qf6 at 3:10 with indeed a forced mate.

    I would Like to suggest in the second match around 8:24 to check the black king with no mercy with the knight standing by the white's queen, this ngates reguar king exits plus puts the king into a position for many attacks. one is getting the other rook into play in case he decides to go in the middle, if king instead goes dark square there is a check with the queen allowing it to be more active keep the knight safe, even trading queens to defend may solve the issue for white for a bit but the activity of black pieces woud be higher for attacks with rocks and that knight and back is not forced to trade queen anyway.

    MISSED MATE IN 1 lol i saw it without pausing but he didn't play it. 3:46 guy moves his queen to d4, the blue queen. now its the kids turn he can mate with rook on h3 to h8 check mate with his queen backing him on f6 square, he can ignore his queen lol why take when you got check mate?

  • @mamneo2

    Stockfish News:
    The engine says that at 5:00 Black is winning, with an advantage superior or equal to -50.72. The suggested move for white is Nd2+.

    • @mamneo2

  • @jehwanazarcon3594

    A much more winning move in the first game is Qf6 a much more quicker way to checkmate black, the threat is either Qh8 or Rh8 checkmate. Black cannot play Qd4 since the square is guarded by the knight.

  • @mohammadowais1981
    @mohammadowais1981 6 років тому

    @3:13 the best move for the white was to move his queen to f6 before moving his knight to g3. Either Black would lose his queen or otherwise would be checkmated in the very next move.

      That sounds like unnecessary critique. There have been grandmaster's completely apathetic to the game. They come in various sizes and shapes.
      Rather than dismissing your son's potential, I would look much more kindly towards an argument that read something like that he have other passions he wishes to pursue on a deeper level than chess.

      +Defendor Thanks! I got him to 1400 and here is where I take a step back. He's going to "Russian grandmaster" for two weeks in the summer but aside from that and the 30 minutes of chesstempo.com I have him do everyday....I'm stepping back. He has to take himself from here - as does anyone really.

    • @Phoniv
      @Phoniv 8 років тому +5

      you sound like a great dad. I used to play this kid when I was in 8th grade and he was in 5th. We were both rated around 1500 for a while, and I pulled away probably because I was older. I have not gotten higher than the mid seventeen hundreds, but he got above 2000 by age 18, and I am not sure how seriously he took his practice, he is now 19 and not doing chess anymore. So with your kid lots of improvement can happen if he is still interested in chess in a few years. If not, its all about staying mentally sharp, lets say chess, or math problems, or reading and writing, or whatever you can come up with. Make sure your child exercises regularly like an athlete, it helps a lot with school performance, and the extracurriculars too. Swimming and Running are great, its mostly about the cardio. Sound like you are doing a good job as a dad.

    • @HomeschoolDad
      @HomeschoolDad  8 років тому +3

      Thanks. Agree. Definitely trying to incorporate "less sitting", not necessarily sports but more constant, organic movement. Sitting is my new villain. Not a fan of shoes either. Doing a lot of barefoot stuff with whole family - including "barefoot running".

    3:47 If the rook on the kids right hand field went next to the king, that would be checkmate.

    Not trying to take anything away from the kid but I just dont get blown away when I see child "prodigies". Their brains soak up knowledge faster than that of an adult. Better students because their memory isnt full yet. However it is extremely adorable hearing him say "checkmate"

    black (blue) had a crappy counter opening. i put the game through a computer and white was destined to win.
