God I miss the 90's so much. I used to scoff at my parents when they would talk about the 70's but as you get older you do realise how amazing certain periods of your life were and remember just how good they were. The music, clothes, attitude and metting like minded people are days I miss so much. The Seahorses and this song are definitely background music to my life story.
Why cant someone open a club that just plays 90's indie music, it would be fucking epic getting pissed up in a bar with the sound track to the 90's flowing out from every speaker in the joint.
One day when I was 15, I heard a song on the radio. I don't understand English well. At the time, I heard the main line of the song, "You can control me," and I never listened to the song again. After that, I kept trying to find the song, but I never found it until one day, when I was over 40 years old. That day, as I lay in my room, the peace and cool breeze, I became a 15 year old listening to this song again. But what is different is I can listen to English better. What I heard was "You can talk to me" That’s why I’m Here
This was one of my favourite songs - I used to drive along in the car swaying and singing at the top of my voice ... and i was told by my friends that i was going to get stopped by the police..... AND I WAS! Still love the song tho
@@gregkiteos1936 Greg the second album is all over UA-cam and you can even buy bootlegs with the proposed artwork. I even saw them live after it was finished at a secret gig in Liverpool with the new songs before they finally imploded.

@@duncanlemm7144 yeah not a patch on the 1st in my opinion though unfortunately. And it wasn't an official release was it, just a mix of stuff they had been working on?.
I was lucky enough to see them play twice... Once on the album tour at Manchester Apollo supported by third eye blind. The second time was at a secret gig under King George's Hall in Blackburn just before they split up. They played all the new songs from the second album that never got released. I was front row stood between chris and john. Simply amazing I was gutted when they split!
blueprint waiting for the world where i first heard this song way back in my skating days ooo happy days they was this song takes me back there brings back memories brilliant song aswell thanx for posting it
Chris Helm ( vocals ) is playing a solo gig down my local music bar on 10/04/14. I saw him there last year and let me say, when he performed this track, my hair stood on end! Pure genius!

This song should be a mental health anthem. I often head here when it's all a bit shonky. Thanks, The Seahorses

Don't you think that maybe I should slow down?

You can talk to me
Oh yeah
Don't you think that maybe I should calm down?
I'm sick of staring at these walls, I'm gonna kick 'em down
I was feeling alone, getting cold
And I feel like a natural born killer
Boring holes and cheap polyfiller
And I borrowed 50 dollars to ring you
To tell you, everything is alright
You can talk to me
Anytime that you feel the pain
I'll take the strain (You can talk to)
