I believe the reason Liandrin untied Nyneave is cos she knew Nyneave will give a fatal blow to the sanchen, unfortunately she couldn't chanel leading to the capture of Egwene
She has a mental block that prevents her from channelling willingly. It's in the books, and she eventually overcomes it. Maybe it will happen in season 3.
She thought that Nynaeve would defeat Lady Suroth, since Liandrin didnt like Suroth, and had to work for her because she has sworn herself to the Dark One.
At that point she can only channel when angry. And even then it was sporadic. It isn't until later that the mental block goes away which allows her to channel at will.
… why did the Seanchan not immediately collar the three girls? Why would they leave them lying far away and unguarded? Them being unconscious and tied by simple rope shouldn’t have mattered. And here I was trying to give the show a chance. Hold shit thats just egregiously bad plot armor.
The Seanchan didnt think that the girls would just wake up suddenly, as they had been made unconscious. If you notice carefully, Liandrin wole them up by channeling. The girls wont have woken up without her interfernce, so yes, the show makers had sense.
@ To the Seanchan, those girls and Liandrin are Marath'damane. If they were any kinds of smart they’d immediately collar them instead of waiting for them to wake up, suddenly or not. Only Liandrin was safe there and that by a hair. Not only do the Seanchan not collar them, but the soldiers literally take them from the horses then set them down clearly out to the side, instead of, you know, in the middle of everyone to slap a collar on them. But no, the soldiers gave the perfect chance for them to get away because the plot needed them to. All except Egwene that is.

I thought horses can't survive in the Ways?
Horses do not wish to enter the corrupted Ways, much the same is true for Ogier. But, if forced, or if the need is great enough, they can.
Why couldn't Nynaeve do anything?

@krqstair In the books she can channel when she's angry. And this situation made her plenty angry
@@leigh-anjohnson She was more freak out and confused than angry
@@krqstair And she was throwing around lightning in the book while both freaked out, and yes angry
@@leigh-anjohnson In this scene she tried to channel bu will whoch is why I think it didn’t work
why did liandren "help" her?
