Seth is always really quick to pick up a joke but he doesn't do the voice because he knows Bill is so good at it, so he hands it over and when Bill makes a bit out of the joke Fred gets on the boat instantly because they're so in sync. It's wonderful to watch the close friendship here!
This, it’s really on top of being a panel about DocNow it’s also this beautiful social study of some of the greatest comedic minds and voices and performers of the (early if not entire ) 21st century
I liked how they clearly used a girl vocal to Bills Blue Jean Committee character... and just over and over they just say the most crafted wordplays and some things they say are nonsense but if you really read some quotes by "famous" people... esp "artists" who most times are not the brightest bulb and say things that just make it into the cultural quote fame and made into something that if you really had context would find that a writer or publisher who were going to the editor with this interview took what the artist said and seeing it was nonsense then tweaked it... run it by the artists manager to signoff on and had a much better story... which in the biz most stuff of legends... is made up and then adopted by other famous people as witnesses that can then place themselves into the legend and its value to their career... which is the joke they are most times just saying... hey yeah fame and all its trappings are nice but once someone takes themselves too serious it is the point where most should say ohh yeah... what I have is very very lucky and to just suddenly say I am not going to sell out or be artificial... when Hollywood and fame is actually arificial... that is when most actors or famous start the nosedive. Because if you get too big or become a pain in the ass... well they can also us that against you to feed the press and build up someone elses career and carpet bomb your oblivious ass...

I think we love Bill Hader because he's so anxious in real life but when he's in a bit he's the most confident and bold comedian and it's really cool to watch someone in their element

Hader's never mentioned this story to Fred when they were on SNL xD

I thought the interviewer was terrible and more concerned about asking her questions then going with the flow of what they were saying, not to mention every transition being “okay...” Lord it was awkward.

I love that this moderator knows exactly what to do when you have three SNL veterans sharing a panel together -- just let them go. They'll take care of you. Just laugh along with everybody else and wait patiently for them to give you an opening. They're the consummate performers, you will know your turn when they politely hand it back to you. They're like comedy shepherds. Great job moderator.
I just love how Bill completely changes when he is around people he feels comfortable with. Like u can see that he is a little uncomfortable in some interviews that he does alone but w his friends you just cant stop him. So unbelievably funny and charismatic and charming.

I’m just now stumbling across this (2016 was a less than stellar year for me) and I find myself wondering if there’s ever gonna be a time when Bill Hader isn’t the most adorable guy alive. I then thank the gods of The Funny for allowing me to be alive in this era.
Great interviewer. She let the guys have fun, and run with it, and took the jokes directed to her just light hearted. She never showed frustration with the bits, she probably was well prepared for this.
I appreciate the fact that she told the audience that these guys had been doing a huge amount of press all day. Junkets are hell for most people, and these guys were tired and stressed by the time they got here so it was kind of her to acknowledge how hard they were working.
They should make up fake projects and just have these three do press tours for them. I could watch them talk for hours. It is so damn funny. If you think about it, they could make up the wildest shit about fake projects. Yeah we got Mike Tyson and Martha Stewart for 'Un-Boxing Tyson', but we didn't realize they used to be married. It was a messy divorce. Martha stabbed Mike first day of filming.
"One day you're gonna tell me you're sick and I'm just gonna laugh and be like 'ha ha, right!'". I have some friend dynamics like this and I wouldn't trade it for the world. People whose presence alone is enough to make you laugh.
