I saw the first episode. This seems contrived. To see a man with dozens of bees on him, then see zero welts on closeup images after. We see almost nothing of him building shelters, trying to obtain sufficient water or struggling with insects. It's foolish to climb a tree and bang on the trunk right next to a bee hive, and it's foolish to poke a dangerous snake for 5 minutes just 2' from it. It's more of an adventure show than a survival show. I guess they are trying to turn this guy into some sort of celebrity. He is very handsome and muscular. But I guess that's what Americans like. They don't want to learn, they want to idolize some macho handsome hunk. Think Bear Grylls, not Survivorman or Naked and Afraid. Not that those programs are prefect.
