I knew someone had to be advising Cannon because of her lack of experience for this type of case. Had no idea it could possibly be Trump himself, but it makes sense now. I know that she's pro-Trump, but she should be removed from this case and disbarred if this is true, because that would be obstructing justice.

So, the defendant has a right to a speedy trial unless they want to delay it in order to hopefully become elected President with the hopes of being shielded from prosecution? Judge Canon should recuse herself from this case on the fact that she has that job because of the defendant. It's not a perception thing regarding a conflict of interest, it IS a conflict of interest.

'Exceedingly troubling?' Really? Is that how you describe Cannon's behaviour? Cannon's actions are clearly intentional. What I don't understand is if Cannon is making decisions that are legally wrong, how is it she is 1) still overseeing the case and 2) how is she still a judge? As to the reports today that two of Judge Cannon's law clerks have resigned, let me say this. A federal judicial clerkship is the gold standard of resume building for a young lawyer. No clerk ever resigns unless something is up. Let us wait and see.

It is not uncommon for jury instructions to be drafted before the trial has started. Particularly in complicated cases. When they are drafted like this, they may get changed during the trial before they are given to the jury. Nogthing strange here, but as one of them said, I am not a lawyer, this is why they do not know.

I suspect it is one of those things that is a lot easier to say than to do.
OK to remove a Federal Judge from a case you would have to file a motion in the District Court that covers the Federal Judge in this it would be the 11th. Then you would have to show the Judge violated the LAW. Just because you do not like rulings she made is not a valid reason. Smith can not go to the 11th "She is being mean to me she is ruling against me" and expect them to remove her. There is nothing she has done that is illegal.
