It's a great stand, but they missed so many things with this. As well as the things you mentioned, why oh why didn't they make the clear parts that touch the saber light up!! I think the circular thing in the centre is a photoreceptor which senses the change in light when a crystal is put on it. With the cost of these here in the UK (No official Disney outlet in Europe still!) and the recent quality control issues I've experienced from Disney products I don't think this will really be something I will pick up. It is a nice piece though.
100% agree with you on all fronts there. I wasn’t originally going to pick this up but then doubleboxedtoys had a 20% sale and I couldn’t stop myself 🤦♂️ lights on the tips, memory and some kind of wireless mode would all have made such a difference!
The shop I got them from is currently ‘on holiday’ - the owner is at university. If you search for plain resin lumber crystals you’ll probably find similar but here’s a link to the shop if you want to wait for them to reopen: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/BASkybers
Yeah the lack of a power pack / rechargeable battery is one of the weakest bits about the design for me. That and the daft you can’t set it to remember a specific colour when you turn it on so it always starts on red
Not yet - i'm still hunting for the black. I'm in the UK so getting the crystals is tricky but i have a friend going in a few weeks so I've put an order in for a stack of reds, hopefully i'll strike lucky for black! :) If i do I'll do a little update video for you so you can see what it does
Here I was trying to use an allen wrench thinking I could open up the stand arms to "hold" my light saber. I've had this and a saber from Disney for like a year now and I can't think of where to put it on display. I want to have the actual saber still connected and not just display the hilt.. but it makes for an awkward display piece if you want to show it by itself, you almost need something on both ends of the saber to center the saber on something.. call me crazy but I feel like hanging a single shelf for just the saber would make it look so off center by itself.. anyone have any cool display pictures or videos?
Yeah I’ve struggled finding somewhere to use this due in part to the absolutely beastly size of it. I’m going to just go with a countertop now though I think 😂
@@order66collectibles because i bought one, connected here in Chile and didn't light up. So i assume is 110 v and i probably burned it haha. But most electric devices are multivoltage now.

What Etsy shop did you get your crystals from. I love the look of the non RFID ones on this.

I have the old and new stand, I just really wish the new one had more lights, plus the accessories you attach barely even light up too
Yeah I wish the new one had more lights + remembered what light you left them on too rather than having to start on red every time.
Good design. Except it's not a recharagable battery. It's a bit uncomfortable for display shelf.

Is there any other stands that are durable like this
There are some decent stands with the ability to light up on Etsy but this is the only metal one I’ve found so far
Do you have an official black crystal? I’d be curious what it does on the stand.

Can you buy this online?
Only if you can find a reseller otherwise they’re straight from galaxy’s edge 😔
What voltage it use?
I’ll have a look for you 👍

Its very nice
I had doubts to begin with but the more I have used it the more I like it
