I will never forget years ago Me, my mom and sister were watching this on TV one time. And my father, who normally hates “Stinky Chick Flicks”, walked into the room at the end of the movie when Noah is laying in bed with Allie, and she says, “Do you think God would be kinda enough to take us together?” And then the next morning they’ve both passed, my Dad said without missing a beat, “That’s how I hope your mother and I go.” Made me and my sister get teary eyed. Unfortunately he passed away last May after a brief battle with Stage IV Stomach Cancer, but we were all by his side and my Mother was holding his hand.
I love everything about this movie. The poetry, the rich girl falling in love with the poor guy. The persistence of Noah, gonna have to rewatch it with my wife, been together over 15 years.
On their Patreon they have the full length reaction up and the last part of the movie that's basically entirely cut from this YT edit, is them pretty much just silent, making the same face, watching the film, and totally into it. I wouldn't say tears, just really into the movie.
My husband had dementia, and this movie totally reminds me of us. He forgot who I was, and I listened to him tell me his life story. One day when I went to visit him at the memory care center, he kissed me and said he had missed me. What a happy surprise that was.
One time my football team got charter buses and we shared one of the buses with the cheerleaders. They brought the notebook to watch on the tv and all the boys booed over it. By the time we got there we were so into the movie we won the game and the final score was like 70 to 6. We just wanted to get back to the bus to finish the notebook.
The end always gets me the most. Right after they die you see the birds now she is free as a bird just what she always wanted. And hes by her side in the sky. Damn that makes me cry
This movie is so great. Every guy I've ever forced to watch this have ended up loving it too. I love how it's told thru Noah's eyes. It gives the male perspective. So beautifully written and the acting is on point. Gets you all in your feels. ❤
"WE'RE ALL BIRDS!" "GO TO HELL!" The reaction to Long Ham's (LOL) proposal hahahah you guys are absolutely hilarious! Ohhhh yes, this is gonna be good! Hopefully this means maybe you guys will do more Nicholas Sparks movies in the future! Some are good, some are not... lol, but still a fun watch! Can't wait to watch your journey through this rollercoaster, heartbreak of a movie. Peace and love to everyone! :)
@@bin5803 I thought them not adding what is the best part of the movie was the icing on the cake that is this reaction video. The whole thing was tongue-in-cheek despite what the movie is and I thought it was fuckin hilarious lol
“What do you WANT?!” “It’s not that simple!” The dynamic of Men and Women since the dawn of Humanity. Used to watch this movie with my girlfriend every year but that was almost 9 years ago. Stay strong my single homies.
The director picked Gosling because he didn't think he was good looking and that when she chooses him it will be real love. By the way, the director hired his own mom to play the older Allie.
They filmed from Oct to Feb and did the older parts with Gosling and McAdams and then over the Christmas holidays Gosling lost 20 lbs to look younger, even though he was only 22 and she was 24 when filming.
"That's you!" If someone told me I was James Garner, well dang that's a high enough compliment! Loved you two checking this one out. I think you two would love Stranger Than Fiction, with Will Ferrell.
Back in the 90s and 2000s I felt so sorry for James Marsters. He played so many good guys who didn't get the girl. So , while I'm not personally attracted to him, whenever I read a new book I imagined him as the romantic lead. 💔💋
Love this film, always makes me cry. Thanks for reacting to it. My line of work is helping to look after people with dementia so I found much of this very relatable. xx
They could barely tolerate each other and Gosling wanted her gone. Ryan Gosling was singing and dancing before he was chosen for the Mickey Mouse Club. He sings and dances in La La Land and Barbie.
I loved your movie reaction to The Notebook. You guys should definitely do a reaction to a movie called Gone Girl; it's a real nail-biter! The tension builds up beautifully, and you’ll find yourself constantly guessing what’s going to happen next. The story is incredibly gripping. Check it out if you’re into intense thrillers!
Just think this movie almost never happened because Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams didn't get along and went to the point where Ryan Gosling tried to have Rachel McAdams replaced. The director Nick Cassavetes put them in the same room so they could hash out their differences. It worked to the point they were in a real life relationship. This film is so romantic, which wouldn't have worked without Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Also, this movie is how you can judge whether your partner is a "keeper" or not. If they're not emotionally moved by this story, something is dead inside and you have to wonder if they'd be around for you long-term.
I still get all teary-eyed watching this movie. They dated in real life after making this movie but hated each other during the making of the movie. Go figure....All Nicholas Sparks books, made into movies are awesome.💙
I'm pretty sure your ratio of mentions of Ryan Gosling to mentions of Rachel McAdams is about infinity haha. See, there IS a reason some guys loved this movie too... I love how cool Noah's dad is, because it means I can blame my dad for me not being as smooth as Noah :P
The Director of this movie actually acted in a bunch of 80s B movies one of which stars opposite of Charlie Sheen it’s pretty good too. It’s called the wraith.
Notebook always made me cry. I love that you tried it and liked it though. I feel like more guys would like it if they would just get past the sappy reputation and give it a try for how well it's written and put together
Do not judge anyone by today's standards, this was the 40s and read the book. There is no Ferris wheel in the book and the kids are much younger. Writing was the primary mode of contact. Lon was 8 years older than Allie and a work-a-holic who wanted to go into politics, but he was good looking. They were 15 and 17 in the book and when she left he did and actually got a great job and helped build a business for a man who left him $70,000 when he got out of the military. He bought the house and fixed it the way he wanted before he ever met her. He never saw her after she left. When she came back they both knew it wasn't over. The scenes in the book after the right to see the ducks are much better. He gets both of them dry clothes and he waits for her to lead the way and it happens much more romantically.
You guys made me laugh so much… you said about her screaming & then you both end up screaming like girls later in the film 😂😂😂, great film, great review 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤛🏻🔥🇬🇧❤️xxx
The legacy this movie has is so bizarre. The trailers made it seem so incredibly corny, and it was the butt of so many jokes in the mid-00s, especially for teenagers and younger guys. And then you finally sit and watch it, and you realize what an absolutely terrific movie it is, and that even though it IS a little corny at times, it's so well acted and directed that you just get sucked right back in. I really need to buy the Blu-ray of this movie. It's one that is definitely missing in my collection.
Love this movie :) even though Noah and Alley's relationship is extremely toxic, it's still beautiful in a way? I know I can't speak for others but whenever I wasn't looking for love, that's when it found me and how all my relationships came to be lol. So yes, it does happen when you're not looking. Happy belated Valentine's Day if you celebrate it, and to all the singles, Happy Singles Day ♥
Money is great, but it's not everything it cannot buy love, but love is forever if you've truly found it and it's not easy to love someone either, sometimes your going to fight sometimes even but deep down there is still that spark that tells you that this person is your everyday life, that you want to wake up beside you, when someone is there for you no matter what that is worth more than anything else in the world then to have that special person there for you for good. But that's my input on this commentary chat.
Despite the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of the romance genre, I do believe that this is one of the greatest romantic movies ever produced. If you agree, then maybe you should watch "Analyze This." It's a good movie to watch if you'd like to see one about friendship (a somewhat brotherhood). Of course, if you have the time, that is. P.S. We do think that your hats looks good on you guys.
I have watched almost all of your reactions on your channel and loved all of them. I have to confess though, this one re-action got me subscribed. 1. "Go to hell", somebody kill him...noooo. The devastation in your voices...... "Its over"! I enjoy watching movies with you guys... YOU are authentic, genuine and funny. I’m sorry for your loss.
Ryan Gosling has been in rom-coms, action movies, comedies AND a musical. If that's not range, then idk what is.
A horror movie and he pretty much runs the gauntlet of genres
Let’s not forget Murder By Numbers
He's a great actor. Drive and Lars & the Real Girl are such different character, yet you believe both. That's how you know someone is good.
Sci-fi too with Blade Runner 2049.
Yeah BuT.... they were all, basic white people every day lives type of roles............. ez for the average simpleton 😮😮😂😂😂
I have never seen someone react so dramatically to The Notebook!😂😂 never thought I’d crack up watching this but you guys have achieved it👏🏾😂😂

R.I.P James Garner( elderly Noah). I love this movie
Curtis having a breakdown at 26 minutes, when Lon proposed to Ally was the highlight, lol.
My husband had dementia, and this movie totally reminds me of us. He forgot who I was, and I listened to him tell me his life story. One day when I went to visit him at the memory care center, he kissed me and said he had missed me. What a happy surprise that was.
Its definitely heartbreaking stuff. My aunt is going downhill fast with it. Glad you got that one memory.
I love that even when James Marsden is the guy you're not supposed to root for, it's so hard not to root for him anyway because he's so awesome.
He wanted the best for her, and realized that he wasn't it. Its hard not to like the guy.
He wasn’t a bad guy at all. Hopefully he found someone else and went on to have a happy life.
You guys had me rolling when she told off her mother 😆
“Oh no, he’s a good guy. He’s reasonable, shit!” That commentary made me laugh out loud 😂
The end always gets me the most. Right after they die you see the birds now she is free as a bird just what she always wanted. And hes by her side in the sky. Damn that makes me cry
Great reaction. My grandma passed away after suffering for years with dementia. The end scene gets me every time.
What happened to the ending of this reaction?
Horrible editing!
Right!! These mother sons of my beeeeches just skipped right past it! Howww
“You’re a terrible singer.”
Me, who has seen Barbie- YOU TAKE THAT BACK
“He’s reasonable as shit”, true but I wasn’t expecting that 😂
Ryan Gosling will forever be Young Hercules for me, used to watch that show as a kid
First thing I ever saw him in was Breaker High. "That's gonna need some ice!" lol
That's the first thing that comes to mind when I hear his name :)
Seven year old me had such a huge crush on Young Hercules.
Then why did he get benched in the state finals in remember the titans?
This movie is so great. Every guy I've ever forced to watch this have ended up loving it too. I love how it's told thru Noah's eyes. It gives the male perspective. So beautifully written and the acting is on point. Gets you all in your feels. ❤
Another February love month movie is called, Serendipity with Jon Cusack and Kate Beckensale, Jeremy Piven.
Holy edited to oblivion Batman!
I shouldn't complain, at least we got 15 seconds with the elderly couple...
"WE'RE ALL BIRDS!"
"GO TO HELL!" The reaction to Long Ham's (LOL) proposal hahahah you guys are absolutely hilarious!
Who chewed up and spit out the ending to this reaction??
Right? Lmao. Rolled em on the stretcher and that was it.

They probably cried like babies and were too embarrassed to upload it 🤣
I love how the notebook says "read this and I’ll come back to you" or something like that. Music can do that, too.
Same! I was like "that was it?!" lol
“What do you WANT?!”
“It’s not that simple!”
The dynamic of Men and Women since the dawn of Humanity.
Used to watch this movie with my girlfriend every year but that was almost 9 years ago. Stay strong my single homies.
No ending reaction?
I know! I wanted the reaction to the ending. Cut it all out 😢
The best chic flick I ever seen and that ending 😢
I recommend watching "A Walk to Remember" . It's another Nicholas Sparks movie that's pretty good.
The director picked Gosling because he didn't think he was good looking and that when she chooses him it will be real love. By the way, the director hired his own mom to play the older Allie.
My great-grandparents died similarly. Together like a pair of gloves. She went first, then he died shortly after from grief.
Great reaction guys as always I hope you two have a wonderful Valentine's day and I hope you two get the best candy in the world.
They filmed from Oct to Feb and did the older parts with Gosling and McAdams and then over the Christmas holidays Gosling lost 20 lbs to look younger, even though he was only 22 and she was 24 when filming.
James Garner was a goodie!! Usually a very endearing character!!
Love James Garner❤❤❤❤
"That's you!"
If someone told me I was James Garner, well dang that's a high enough compliment!
Loved you two checking this one out. I think you two would love Stranger Than Fiction, with Will Ferrell.
Two amazing Canadian actors - Ryan and Rachel. They started dating after the movie and were together for several years. Love them both!
You boys will LOVE this one

One of my favorites of all time. It’s just a timeless classic ❤
That close up on “terminally alone” was so uncalled for 🤣
I didn’t know I needed to see y’all’s reaction. Ty for being men with feelings.
I was obsessed with this movie when it came out and I read the book😊.
I just watched this yesterday, it's a crazy coincidence, that y'all watched the notebook today. Lol.

Yep. Packard. Id seen that and Face/Off a dozen times before realizing he was in both. He was the bald bad guy (Dietrich?) in that one.
You guys were really invested in Noah. Felt like you guys really enjoyed this movie. It's a beautifully sad love story
My favorite movie of all time! I have a Ryan and Rachel autographed movie poster that is my favorite poster ever!
Curtis’ t-shirt for this very emotional romance movie 😂😂
Their chemistry is off the charts even though both Ryan and Rachel absolutely could not stand each other behind the scenes.
They dated after too
Beautiful film including the book
While You Were Sleeping is more my romcom style. It's more of a comrom but still great chemistry between characters
you skipped the acual ending why
