Eventually, he forgot who I was and where he was, etc. He was a danger to himself, and he had to be placed into memory care. He passed away in May of 2018, 49 years after we married at the ages of 17 and 20. This is a beautiful movie. I love it because it's sort of like he and I. (We married on our 8th date.)

You can absolutely love two people at the same time. She clearly loved both of them but the love she had for Noah was a different kind of love than the one she had with Lon. She felt like she could be herself around Noah and Lon it felt like she was trying to be someone she wasn’t but she definitely loved both of them. Also Rachel McAdams doesn’t get her just do because she’s an absolutely sensational actress. After 20 years of watching her she’s always hits every role with amazing performances. It also makes the story of the Notebook even better knowing her and Ryan dated in the real life after the movie as well. Always thought they should have gotten awards for their performance in The Notebook.

Noah doesn't die in "The Notebook", in fact he still plays a fundamental role in the lives of his children, especially a daughter and her son-in-law, just read "The Wedding". My all time fave movie tied with Tiranic and Imitation of life and I cry every time I watch it and you made me ball even more. 😢😢😢 My grandparents had a love like this. They met in kindergarten, became bf and gf in middle school and were together till my grandmother passed away at 62yo, healthiest woman ever got breast cancer and my grandfather happiest man ever passed away 3yrs later from broken heart. My parents started daring at 15 married at 17 and still together. Their love is inspiring although me and my sis cant keep the trend going for nothing cause they don't make men like they use to lol

I had never been in a movie theatre where every guy in the theatre was crying at the end! That was my experience. I thought He wrote the story but in the end, it was her writing it to remember.
The only other one where everyone in the theatre was crying that I saw was A Walk to Remember. I took my little brother with me and he had tears streaming down his face like everyone else. People stayed in the theatre for a couple mins trying to compose themselves. My brother refused to go see The Notebook with me because of the other movie but borrowed my DVD one night and brought it back puffy eyed with tear streaks and said it sucked, lol 😂
2 years after the movie they actually got together for a couple of years. He said every time he came home she would say, "Why didn't you write and they would have ot do the scene. They are both with other people now and have kids.
