Great to see the three Migs together. It is noticeable that the 15 and 21 both have the white stripe on the panel but the 17 does not. Is that the “put stick here if in a spin” stripe? Why not on 17? Also the 15 and 17 have flat black panel paint but the 21 has green panel paint. Is there a practical reason? What a hanger full of treasure! Thank you.
A sexy batch of airplanes. Was nice to have the 17 over at our hangars despite not having anything to do on it. It's significantly smaller than the F-100 so moving around in hangar 2 was easier when cleaning!
Great side by side view of these three related airplanes. Gives good views of the cockpits and their (from an Americans POV) rather nonsensical layouts and how they compare to one another. Great work!
@JetJerod I did a little checking, different N-numbers. His was mostly red with a blue belly, looked very similar, but made a lot of noise here at KBJC until he passed in '15. I've been curious where it went
@@barrymccockiner6641 I don’t think this was it, this one has been in this scheme for many years as far as I know. Maybe that’s the one Jason Somes now has?
"Duke" Cunningham flying against one of these in Vietnam : "We could see his little gomer helmet and little gomer goggles..." Anyone know which of these MiG's it was?
Cool video big fan of mig 21

Those cockpits are very clean, thats a real testament to the staff at the museum, well done! Beautiful airplanes that are clearly well looked after.
