We waives are caught up in between curly and straight. I too did not ever hate my hair but the frizz that followed every time I brushed it was an absolute nightmare. I guess I just never knew how to make it look good naturally. And the hair straighter phase haha - it’s a right of passage for every 90s kid.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому +6

That's the truth! 90s kids with our hair straighteners!
Most wavy girls don't know their hair is wavy. But I do like to believe that we can have both if done sensibly and in moderation. I was just past the point of no return.

You never know. Hormonal changes can change hair over time.
Curly hair is the dominant trait in gene alleles.
So genes occur in alleles (parallels or pairs)
One gene comes from the father and one from the mother. Curly hair is the dominant trait. Straight hair is the recessive trait.
So the combo you can receive is:
SS (then you'll have straight hair)
      CS (curly hair)
      SC (curly hair)
      CC (curly hair)
If the allele is mixed, the dominant trait will be expressed.
If you have straight hair, maybe you received both recessive straight hair genes from your parents.
Don't you just love science? ❤️

@@MichelleManuel science is amazing. I definitely do not have straight hair because my hair is always bent and curvy. Like you said neither straight nor curly something inbetween. I have never styled my hair. I have never used straighteners or curlers. I just shampoo my hair twice a week. That's all I do. No conditioners or any other product. Explains why it's dry and kind of looks like a bush. I also have iron deficiency. My hair has a hard time staying on my head. It has definitely got better now. okay so now that i have seen many videos about people's hair before starting cgm... i have understood that i have done very very less damage to my hairs.... i am 21 and i haven't coloured my hairs at all, i use hair dryer like once a month or two and might've straitghtend them only 4-5 times only
all i did was brushing them twice or thrice a day and making them even more frizzy... so i think my cgm journey would/might be a bit smooth if i do cgm peoperly and with all my heart
also i started cgm this week and i saw pretty decent curl formation for a first cgm wash and i absolutely love the results :D
oh my god i have the same issueee.... my mom has proper straight smooth hairs and my dad has curly hairs so i used to wonder abt it alot...like why can't they be either one lol
and once again i would say that i really love the way you explain everything so calmly and in depth

And the only reason I even have one other is bc I do my hair straight once or twice a month. My hair obv is damaged and was always dry long as I can remember. Using ur tips has really helped me to focus on the health of my hair. I want to know this from your side that do you also face this problem of definition at the root ?
And also I am beginner and it's been one month only following CGM.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому

@@heera5101 ofcourse I do sweetie! But I never look at it like a flaw or an issue. When I curled my hair with a curling tong, I never started at the root. I always left a few inches at the top and then started curling. Why would you let it bother you? Embrace your journey. And remember it gets better every month. Curl training does not happen overnight. Also don't forget to celebrate the small wins! ❤️❤️❤️
      Lots of love.

What a coincidence! My mom has super curly hair (3b -3c) and my dad has poker straight hair!
And that thing happened with me too... i also used to think why couldn't I have the hair of my mom or my dad instead of this frizzy mess that I had to straight everyday. I was lucky I found heatless method of straightening though. 😄😄

As man people expect in society
U shouldn't take longer to dress
    Focus on fashion
    Take care of hairs.
    Taking care of skin
    Multiple different products
    Growing your hairs long
    Growing beard long
"Atleast in my place" its taboo
    Doing tattos
    Dress in Gotic style 🤔
And think like u should not and its feminine.
Maybe in india overall it is like that!
