I'm disappointed but G.C.R makes up for it

- 29th May 2024 I travel to G.C.R in Loughborough in hopes of seeing a special arrival which I'd never seen before. Sadly I was left disappointed but managed to catch a glimpse through the locomotive shed doors from the road bridge before I got to the station.
I got to the station just in time to see the special Mountsorrel branch line train set off ready for its first passengers of the day. I finally got the opportunity to meet the legendary Malcolm (The Top Dog) after missing him by mere moments at the NLR extension opening. Due to the day being mid-week, one diesel and one steam Locomotive are running between Loughborough Central and Leicester North. The amazing thing is, both locomotives I hold dear to my heart. My favorite class of Locomotives in B.R Green (Class 37 (D6700)) and an engine that was based at Wellingborough 15A depot (My hometown since birth) from 1948 to 1957 LMS 8F No.48305.
I travel to Quorn & Woodhouse Railway Station to capture those epic scenes from the air. I was fighting with the elements and nearly gave up until the clouds cleared and I could get epic scene.

Great drone footage - really shows how the GCR London Extension was once a mainline trunk route built for speed. Close-ups of the pretty flowers were wicked too, you big softie ;-)
Yh that's me but did you know I have a NVQ lvl 3 in Amenity Landscaping and a RHS certificate that I earned in 2005. Later on I worked 3 years in a BnQ garden centre. So yh, I see the amount of effort and patience behind a beautiful arrangement like that. 😉

Love this video Purple, thanks for sharing. When I was a kid (many years ago) I used to stand on bridges looking over and waiting for the smell of the steam& smoke in my face.
Yh it's awesome I know, my problem is I got an ember on the bridge of my nose at this very spot from the GWR in 2021
Cracking video despite not seeing Tornado. I'm sure she'll be out an about soon before her appearance back on the mainline at the end of the month. Can't wait to see that! Keep up the great work!

But thank you for your kind words. UA-cam really is slacking. Facebook has recognized my short videos but it's these episodes I would like more people to see. It's probably because I Don't wear Prada or Gucci 😂
Tornado is still in the shed, still having work done on her before she goes up north to test the ETCS iftted to her, also probably having her boiler checked over and prepped while in there
