I """""LOVED""""" that bench! Yes, it is astounding what people throw away. I'm a junk picker, too! Thanks for keeping stuff out of the landfill and also ENJOYING the find!
You found some great stuff. The bench is my favorite. Anything chippy gets to my heart. That lamp looks fabulous. Putting fabric on the shade really brought it to the next level. Thanks Deidre
I love your little bench. I also love yellow and blue, in a combination of colors. I think a blue and yellow bathroom would be gorgeous. But that bench would be so cute, in that bathroom. You inspire me so much. Thank you.
I’m a new subscriber, this is my first time watching one of your videos and it was wonderful. I loved everything you did and the bench was beyond fabulous. I’m looking forward to watching all of your future finds and ideas and want to go back to things you’ve done in the past. So glad to be a part of your community.
Loved all of these! I just found a large ornament frame to make a pegboard! Absolutely love that idea💕. I wish our dumps in the US would allow us to pick ☹️it would make such a difference to save all the good stuff🤦♀️
Some dumps allow it. I think that varies by where youre at. Most , sadly ,do not. But there is a place near my home where folks take metal, and they basically just wont say anything. Dont think its supposed tobe allowed but they just turn their head, lol. My husband had a friend who worked the back of the trash truck and omg, you wouldnt believe the things he ran across. From furniture, to jewelry, to perfectly working appliances , to money. Yes, actual money in the trash. I dont think folks pay enough attention when they throw stuff away.
Our town and many others nearby have what’s called “Take it or leave it” structure/space at the recycling center. I was there one day and a lady was dropping off two perfectly good large tomato planters with the trellises and I grabbed them before someone else could.
Love the lamp shade. The bench is awesome. Love how you didn't paint over the wood. The graphics and the yellow that was left on the surface just finish it off.
the cabinet was not only dusty and grimy. it was also badly thought: the door is at least 10 inches narrower than the inner space. it makes for a really complicated usage. the door though, was amazing! I love this kind of shutter type doors for cupboards!! as for the pegboard? I always felt your smashed planters are begging to go on one 🤪 and yes, you totally inspired me, as always!! I'm decoupaging my coffee table which is not only real, hard, chuncky wood, is also made with a lot of metal bits, in a medieval style! the only weathered aspect is the paint marks the kids made on it when they were todlers (and didn't keep the plastic cover on when they painted on it, 'cause "sorry mom, it's just too beautiful to cover it up!") again, thanks for sharing!
Loved them all especially the cans & bench!!! Myself I would have to have a shabby chic pillow top for bench seat made from worn out old & faded pretty flowered material. Also the lampshade, I would have never thought to mod podge that!! I would have used my gorilla glue spray adhesive but it worked for you!!!
HOLY INSPIRATION BATMAN!!! You just started my new year with an upscale that solves 2 problems I have. The cane backed chairs in horrible shape, so very doubtful of selling them. And my need for peg board in my newly created craft room! I'm so happy right now I can barely sit still to even send this text. Loving, subbing, and obsessed with this channel. 😍 Thanx
Having a pick up truck is handy to take advantage of free items. I brought home a 5 drawer, all wood chest of drawers that took less than twenty minutes to repair and remove some stickers.
You are fabulous. I do this too . My family laughs at me but if I see the potential in things I make it work. I've lived art all my life and I have a passion to make things. It really bothers me when people throw things out that can be fixed. Good going and keep it up. And so will I
You are absolutely 💯 amazing!!! Love love love your flips. I the fines I do the same when I see stuff in the trash. You are absolutely right their lost our gain!!! Thank you! Look forward to see what other creative items you come with? Stay awesome!!!
I just found your site today. Thanks for the clear, precise and easy methods. I like the transfers with the packing tape and the peel away contact type of paper.
The bench is fantastic. Is it a storage bench too? This has so much potential to be many different things. Longer legs for a work bench. Add a drop leaf for more surface work space when needed. So much more versitility. Great find from friends. 👍🏻🙏♥️🇺🇲
What a super video! Every project turned out beautifully! I would never have thought of decoupaging a pleated lampshade with material. 👍 You are amazing and have totally inspired me with this video! Thank you so much for sharing. 🥰🥰🥰
FYI: You can use an alcohol swab, or a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol to remove the print from your freezer/sandwich bags. That enables you to recycle a used bag for your crafts. Permanent marker can also be removed this way. Love your videos!
I think I heard you live in Canada….you are so lucky to be allowed in the dump….in Delaware it is a no go zone! makes me sick knowing what treasures are in there and we are not allowed in….your projects are so creative and I love your style! That cabinet and bench and the rest of the projects are just awesome! Thank you for sharing 😊kim
Love what you did with the dresser and upper mirror frame. I liked the idea of using the pegboard but I would have reversed it and used the plain brown side to suit my taste. Great idea! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏♥️
I stumbled accross one of your videos (diy chalk paint) and i have been bingeing them!! Really enjoying your content and your easy-to-understand instructions. Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️
Great ideas. About what people toss? A story behind everything. Some items remind you of the past and have to gooooo. Or getting rid of clutter. Or purchased a replacement. Tons of reasons.

I’m not a ‘yellow’ person…. but that bench is totally beautiful. Love how you preserved the layers of its history but still made it ‘yours’.
yes the benches one of my favourite DIY projects that I have done
Looks like the top of a captains chair from the 1700-1800's worth $500-$1800. Dang people have no idea what they're throwing away. Love your ideas.
