To paraphrase William Blake....The hours of folly are measured by the clock; but of creativity and beauty, no clock can measure... Yours is the exception! Lovely.🥰
Sherry, you deserve an award for the BEST UPCYCLER! Nobody I've seen doing projects with found objects on UA-cam can come close to your creations. And what an unbelievable find! Who just throws out a grandfather clock like this in such decent condition....? You pulled together such a beautiful and unique creation from this clock. You are #1!!!!
So so sorry to hear of your unfortunate accident….it’s very generous of you to share your experience so that others can learn from it (must be the teacher in you!). I pray your ankle heals quickly and completely…..and, oh, the clock redo was spectacular. It makes me wonder if your neighbors put out items thinking “Let’s see what Sherry can do with that!” Be well.
Oh, thank you, Deb. The car accident was actually a few years ago, so I am fully recovered. You can be sure that when I saw the clock on the curb, I carefully pulled over to the side of the road! 😜
Sherry, this video recycling a grandfather clock was delivered at the perfect time for me. In my latest military move, my grandfather clock was damaged beyond repair. So this project is perfect to repurpose the pendulum, the heavy weights, and clock face. Thanks for the great idea. Shellie
Sherry, although your projects are consistently amazing, I hope you realize how inspiring your work has become to all of us viewers. Your willingness to take on projects of any size energizes most of us to explore our own creativity with greater courage. Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us!
Oh my word. Sherry, you clever, clever girl! I love what you did with this curbfind flip. That blue color is the best. I am so glad you weren't too banged up in your car totaling crash. A broken ankle is no fun. You probably have heard this already, but last week, one of the clues on Jeopardy was William Morris! I was so thrilled I knew the answer, thanks to you!
I love how you never give up when working on a project, but just keep going until it’s to your liking. Also I love how nothing is ever wasted!! The finished clock is gorgeous.
Long live the Queen of Decordom!!! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! You are fantastic! I’m so thankful you were driving along at just that moment to find the clock! Wow! I’m also thankful you have recovered from the previous accident with no severe problems and grateful you shared your story in order to help others♥️
When I got my first glimpse of the grandfather clock, I already thought "no way would I consider taking it". I cannot tell you how much I love it now! I walked away from one in a Goodwill store thinking I could not remake it into anything salvageable. All I can say is wow!!!! I have a small area in my family room where I have an inexpensive ladder bookcase that needs to be replaced. The hunt is on! Thank you for the inspiration! This would look amazing in that room!
That turned out amazing! The color is so vibrant and I think the gold accents make the face seem like a show piece. I have had many a near accident looking for yard sales and curb shopping. I am so sorry that happened to you! It is so hard not to over react when you get back in the car after an accident. I totaled a gorgeous red truck driving in a storm. I was at a stop sign afraid to move because the rain storm was so heavy I couldn’t see anything right in front of me. People behind me were mad because I was just sitting and they kept honking their horn. I was a complete nervous wreck! After a full 5-10 minutes of sitting I let my foot off the break without touching the gas and tried to ease on the highway and was hit immediately. I was a jumpy driver for almost a year afterwards. I wasn’t hurt though, praise Abba! I am thankful it was only your ankle, Sherry! This project was amazing and you give me so much courage to step out and try new things!
Oh, thank you! I hate driving in storms. It is so frightening when you can barely see anything! I’m so glad you weren’t seriously hurt. Because I couldn’t drive for six weeks while my ankle healed, I was a nervous wreck when I finally got behind the wheel again.
Oh the suspense! But I resisted the urge to skip to the end, and watched with bated breath as the masterpiece unfolded. It was so worth it - beautifully done!
Sherry... You ALWAYS Amaze me!! Your talent is beyond measure. Everything you touch, revamp and/or create is absolutely STUNNING! So thankful you share your talents on UA-cam. You are such an inspiration!! Take care and watch out for stopped vehicles. 😘
I can’t help wonder if You’re family members and friends worry they be Unrecognizable when they leave your house as you were compelled to embellish them You are AMAZING Thank You SO much for sharing! 🌺🌸🌼
I don't have words to say how creative you are! I love the clock! It is just gorgeous! Glad you weren't hurt worse in your accident (and glad the others weren't hurt!). Thanks for a great project!
The clock turned out amazing! Love that you added the pendulum and parts as part of the display. The bird trans fare really added a lot of character. Opening up the bottom was a great idea and carried the bird theme as well. (glad no cat bed was added🥰)
Sherry, you turned an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. The leftovers found a place to live, in the clock, also. Your home is such an inviting place and I appreciate you sharing so much with us. You know Sherry...It could be that you will walk past your clock one day and find you have a "Catbird" investigating that bird nest. Stay Blessed, Happy and Safe. Karen in North Carolina.
I love how you use the mallet on objects. You have the vision of a sculpter. As a child, were your parents ever concerned about their furniture pieces? Leave you alone long enough and everything is transformed! Love, love, love the clock. The bottom as a cat bed is brilliant. Thanks for sharing about your accident. Also, have been using Fetch since you shared it previously. It really works.
Beautiful! I have three in storage wondering what to do with them. Thank you for showing me what I can do with them. I have known a lot of talented ladies, you come out on top!
You are one creative lady. I love how you can look at a piece, envision something different and then make it happen. My favorite part is the bird on the chain. It just speaks to me. What a great idea.
I love your “can do” attitude, Sherry! I smiled when I heard you ask if we ever shopped from the curb…since I actually found a “free” metal shelving unit on my way home from supper with friends last night!
Every time you added a piece of the workings to the finished clock, it made it that much more perfect. You are always so creative. I bet this piece is not going into your store! It's beautiful where it is.
My mom's uncle made her a child's kitchen cupboard out of a old grandfathers clock when it stopped working. She said it was beautiful with glass door and wooded shelves with cup holders. I wish she would of saved it for me and my girls. I loved your idea too. I think it came out great!!
Hi Sherry ☺️ What an amazing transformation - the clock looks so lovely, as does everything you have placed inside it! You have such super ideas and a real talent for putting them into practice! Monday evenings in the UK are extra special for me because of you and your wonderful channel! Thank you so much Sherry! 🥰🥰🥰 Ann x
😮 Sherry!! I'm so glad you are ok!! Sorry to hear that you broke your ankle & that your car is totalled 😢 Aside from that... YOU ARE GENIUS!!! I absolutely LOVE everything you did to & with the pieces of this clock!!! 💙💙💙💙💙
Oh, thank you, Misty! My car accident was a few years ago, and I am fully recovered. You can be sure that when I saw the clock on the curb, I carefully pulled over to the side of the road! 😜
Oh I do love this clock!!! Live and learn, at least that accident wasn’t worse, and you learned a valuable lesson. Years ago I had a yard sale. My girlfriend had surgery and wasn’t supposed to drive. But she just knew I’d have stuff she would want lol. So she drove, was looking at the stuff in my yard and hit a parked car. 🤦🏻♀️
The clock cabinet came out beautiful. My cat would love the space on the bottom! I was in an accident similar to yours years ago. I have permanent damage from mine and I was the passenger. I am glad you did not get hurt worse, nor anyone else.
You continue to amaze me with your ideas!! So glad you survived your accident , so you can be here to share with us !! LOL !! Seriously, I"m very glad it wasn't more severe. Take care!
Hi Sherry, What a beautiful transformation ! I am amazed how you used the clock pieces as part of your decor for your curbside flip. Thank you for sharing your advice about safety and I hope you have healed well after your accident ❤
This clock is maybe one of your greatest upcycles. Reproduction grandfather clocks look as cheap as they actually are but you’ve made it made it magnificent.
Oh what a find !! Love what you did with the clock. You have such an imagination.. and yes the bottom of the clock would make a great cat bed 😽 thank you so much for the inspiration. I will definitely be looking for a clock in my thrifting adventures. Thanks again Karen from Florida 🌴💕
Oh my goodness! How stunning. Such a great find and how marvellous the makeover! You had me literally yelling cat bed though. I was picturing a lush gold velvet cushion in the cubby plus your feline friend. I do hope you update it for them 🙂
Oh my goodness Sherri! This is over the top creativity!❤😂😮😊
To paraphrase William Blake....The hours of folly are measured by the clock; but of creativity and beauty, no clock can measure... Yours is the exception! Lovely.🥰

A very fine transformation, although I agree with you. I'd love to have seen the cat bed.

Beautiful! I have three in storage wondering what to do with them. Thank you for showing me what I can do with them. I have known a lot of talented ladies, you come out on top!
Oh, thank you! This is a good project for an inexpensive or broken clock. It would be hard to paint a really nice vintage clock.
Yes, yes, yes, she sure does
What a charming clock shelf ! Glad you were not seriously hurt any worse !!
This is really great. Thank you for sharing this project.
You are one creative lady. I love how you can look at a piece, envision something different and then make it happen.

Once again, you performed magic! What a beautiful transformation! Your vision always amazes me! Thanks for sharing. 😂
Thank you so much, Glenna!
The clock turned out so awesome. I love it so much. You are amazing .
I love that you turned the center into a bookcase. Great transformation! Beautiful color as well.
I scraped the side of a parked car once looking at houses, I feel your shame! The clock turned out great and I love your whimsical touches.
