- Only Oatchi vs Every Boss in Pikmin 4 all by himself. In this video you get to watch my attempt at a comedic take on how oatchi solo'd every boss in Pikmin 4. Hopefully you enjoy.

my first playthrough of pikmin 4 was a deathless run, n when i got to cavern for a king, i had oatchi solo at least half the bosses in that cave so i wouldn’t lose any pikmin
i had him solo the smoky progg

Same, I only used oatchi for the poisonous puffstool to carry away all of the corpses so it doesn’t revive them lol
I only had him solo the big snowy blowhog, because no matter what I did, he would always shake my pikmin off and knock them off the map

@@taranboi7655ice blasts can work on anything, since frozen enemies’ armor can be attacked while frozen
The waterwraith is immune to good dog. Truly even in this easier game it is a terror to be feared.
meh the water wraith got nerfed. nowhere near as traumatizing as pikmin 2's water wraith
@@BlouePickdMan did not really get nerfed, the cave he is found is way easier than the one in pikmin 2, oatchi is with you, and most players are probably already experienced enough to deal with his speed

@@BlouePickdMan you can't hide in the corners though, you have to go to the mossy areas
@@BlouePickdManIt's not exactly that the Waterwraith's AI is *worse,* because it was an exploitable idiot back in Pikmin 2 if you knew what you were doing, it's just significantly less aggressive than it used to be. Also, something interesting I found out- it has a tendency to ignore the Captain if it sees Pikmin carrying things nearby. My runs of The Purple Key kept having the Wraith attack the Purple Onion carriers, totally ignoring myself, Oatchi, and the Ice Pikmin.

You actually can turn off specific Oatchi abilities in one of the menus, so Giant Breadbugs can be defeated by him on your file
No you can't, only gears can be disabled, pup skills are there forever.

What the dog doin
You can actually beat the armored cannon beetle by using two player and pikpik carrots.
You can actually do it withouth second player
Just open the inventory with Oatchi and equip the pikpik carrot and throw it into the hole

Also you can get a purple pikmin into the hole the timing is just very very tight

You can throw purples high enough at the horned cannon beetle fight you just have to be as far away from the cannon beetle as possible. Also you can defeat the gildermander by stunlocking it by walking at its mouth repetedly and avoiding the tounge then going infront of its mouth again
Oatchi is a G O D
When I got to the kingdom of beasts final cave, I lost all my rock pikmin quickly and had to restart. I learned on the fly and just took control of Oatchi and repeatedly dashed into those two giant dudes repeatedly and avoided taking damage.

You should have done this is the actual caves since ur invincible in piklopedia
yeah I noticed Oatchi didn't take any damage after getting hit a few times on Baldy, but most of these bosses were taken down without taking damage. Additionally, a max upgraded Oatchi wasn't getting taken down by these guys in 1v1s. I do agree that it would've been better in caves but the end result would've been the same.
I will be doing a full Only Oatchi run in the future so theres that as well. And thanks for the comment and checking out the video.

I tried completing pikmin 4 with as few deaths as possible, and for some unknown reason i attempted to kill the snagret trio and the bulblax trio without any pikmin... That was a painful day

You can kill almost every enemies with bombs. So it's like cheating.
If you back up enough it is possible to throw a purple pikmin while it's charging

Actually you can kill the armored cannon beetle with purple pikmin its just really hard to stun him
It's the horned cannon beetle, not the armor3d cannon bettle. Two very distinct enemies.

oatchi unfortunately makes blues useless since he can do everything they can do and the upgrades are EXTREMELY easy to get as well
edit: he does it a lot better at well
I mean there's only one of him and many of them, so they can do multiple things at once while he can only focus on one thing
If you need a REAL challenge, beat all the bosses, WITHOUT any upgrades. (Pup Skills are OK) That way enemies that can only attack with Fire for example, can actually fight back.
