How to get the blue onion early "get the first flarlic, get 30 ice, 10 other type, frees the water, build the rock wall, sit oatchi on the ledge, get the ice pikmin, climb wall, drag onion down, whistle pikkies back, freeze water, it has to be on the short ledge tho, buff oatchi before all this, get oatchi on ledge, drag onion to main onion, you win"
Watching this made me consider unironically trying to do a blindfolded playthrough of pickmin 4. But only for the first half of the game. I'm not even going to try with Louie.
fun fact: every castaway in this game is in a set order, which is why you can never see who you're rescuing until you bring them back. you technically cheated when you obtained yonny, since if you rescued anyone else you could have gotten him back. i know this because i usually 100% the first area before anything else, and always get yonny before (or during i don't remember but i know i have him before serene shores) area 2, on top of it very obviously working that way if you do more than one playthrough.

I’m gonna be trying to beat it myself sometime later, but it would be cool to see someone else attempt the challenge. Good luck to anybody daring to try it.
I think the playthrough had a glitch or 2 when oatchi just died or when the boss went out of bounds. I actually had a glitch happen to me when I did my “one pikmin color at a time challenge” (it’s kinda like nuzlocke and monochrome combined, once I switch from one color to another, I can’t use the previous color for the rest of the run.) turns out, it’s completely possible for pikmin 4! But anyway the glitch happened at the end because I also didn’t want to upgrade oatchi for the run. So I got all of oatchi’s abilities at the same time at the end of the game, but in doing so, it never gave me the option to unlock infinite rush. So that kinda sucked.
Huh interresting. I thought Oatshi always grew from day 2 too day 3 but in the video he is small on day 3. Would be interesting to know the trigger for that, guessing it is connected to caves, since you didn‘t go into any on day 2.
