Hi Andy, I'm really looking to buy one of these and I do a lot of hiking. What one would you recommend for or as a 4 season.I do summer and winter hikes and long ones at that. I hear you need a under quilt as well. Could you steer me in the right direction .I'm trying to get out of tents and lower carrying weights . I'm 5' 10 " and 230 lbs. Any suggestions would help . Thanks
I have owned one of these for 3 years or so now, and I LOVE it. So comfortable and spacious, even with two people. So fast to put up and break down even without using the snake skins, using them is absurdly fast. The first night I used my hammock, I got to the trout fishing camp last of course, a bunch of us met up for the 1st weekend. I ended up seeing my tent up in the pitch black and for the first time in about 6-8 minutes while being sleeted on in the mid 20's F. Later when I went to bed it was amazing. So comfortable and I was fine even with it being down to 22 F as a low. Plus at the time I was sleeping 1-2 times a week due to some terrible neck injuries which I was having a major amount of surgery for several weeks later, but I slept like a baby, so much comfortable than my tempurpedic at home!! I am trying to decide how to 4 season this tent however so I can go camping more often as it snows here in northern PA off and on but usually between sometime in October to sometime in April. If anyone has had to due this and ad success, please post! I may just buy a smaller one of the Super Shelter 2 and try it and make some modifications and add a few things myself, or make something similar but start from scratch. I absolutely love these however and no other hammock system in the world comes close to the Hennessy's do on so many levels!!
Excellent coverage thanks! You mention that the hammock can be used for two people but you don't show that feature. Arguably this is the main feature of this model. I'm intrigued to see how two people get into a classic model? Maybe a future project. Thanks again for the great vids.
hey andy great video, just a quick question you mentioned twice to get the " snakeskin " what is it and what do you need it for ?
