Thank you!! I just. Bought a Hennessy Hammock and I’m hating it because HH’s videos are not clear on some of their instructions. However your video explains and demonstrates it much better than their’s. I’ll give it another go now.
Andy glad to hear your doing well. Nice to have another video. Zip is still the coolest and him jumping on top of you in the hammock was priceless. Best wishes with your new career. I'm just returning to tree hanging. I'm with you and like it a lot.
+InnerBark Outdoors Totally understand. I'm dog sitting for a friend and Charlie follows me everywhere. He's a 10 yr old Golden retriever rescue and the "Happiest Dog on Earth". I hope you guys get re-united soon.
Hi Andy, I like your video especially how you use the knots. Like you, I also sleep out of my Hennessy Hammock Asym zip whenever I'm out Kayak camping. This summer, I'm planning to do my first Hobie Adventure Island Kayak Sailing with the family and camping out on the Westcoast of Vancouver island. Lots of trees!
Hey man I'm a big hennessy hammock fan although I have my interest peaked on another brand. Thanks for the video. your cinematography sets you apart from the other channels, so thanks and keep on never sacrificing quality for quantity.
Bro I have a (Belgian Malino) and I have absolut no idea how you handle your dog with one hammock. In a rainy day he will come complete wett in it ? Or he sleeps under you ? And how about wild animals in the night, he's just always protecting me nothing has to come near me if I sleep. I go with a tent so he has some wals what take him out of this mode. I would like to understand how you take trip with your dog cause I can't see and find alot about, trekking with a dog. ( Big dog ) But I would love to get some advice and experience from other people with dogs. Could you tell me how you manage it ?
Greyman Zink I miss that dog. We will be reunited after my tour of employment in spring:) It is going very well, but you can just call me Mr. Tran (Just kidding)
I was looking at it all wrong, I now realize I prefer the dog's method: get a human to carry the hammock and set it up for you, and then use him as insulation to prevent cold butt syndrome... smart canine! Thanks for sharing!
Do you find it to be to heavy? I've been looking at different hammock brands, and its pretty much between a dd hammock, or a Hennessy hammock, but since I'm on the taller side, I would have to get a 7 ft Hennessy hammock, which increases the weight by a bit. Thanks.
sorry for the double-post, but what are your thoughts regarding Eagles Nest hammocks? they use a 'biner instead of fancy knots in their tree straps. i'm curious because i'm going to make a purchase at some point, but i'm still in the information gathering stages. thanks again and i look forward to more videos!
KingTesticus I'm not familiar with the eagles nest hammocks, but I can say that I dig the Hennessy a lot. Only problem with biners is that they weigh more. So long as the build quality of the eagles nests is good, i don't see a problem with them, but I can tell you that the Hennessy quality is fantastic.
I'm obviously not well known in the youtube outdoors world as the poster of this video. however I have an ENO hammock and love it, I have the two person (double nest or something like that?). I'd say it's worth the extra ten or 20 bucks, and I also have the ~30 dollar atlas straps that I think are awesome. it's decently comfortable with 2 people however is awesome solo, it's about the size your average small camp pillow when packed. but deployed there is enough extra material to "cocoon" yourself and I've actually used just the extra material as almost a bug barrier before with sucess. I've never owned another hammock system but I would say it's definitely money well spent.
Your own channel doing what you love and a dog that would have your back, man I'm jealous. Time for me to make a turn in my life. Thanks for the video new sub looking forward to more content.
Cool video mate. Lovely looking dog. I am a ground dweller myself, but I do like hammocks. When you say working as a Ranger in the comments, does that refer to Law Enforcement as in Texas Ranger? Or rather a park ranger? I am assuming the first. Forgive me if it is a stupid question, but I am British....
+North Cackalacky Often times people damage trees by hanging things off of them. The rule is not hammock specific. My park doesn't allow hammock camping unless you have a stand of some sort.
Not helpful. You skipped lots of steps and raced through the knot work. Questions like - what’s the little black baggie at the end of the hammock for? Do I untie the clasp to adjust it? I watched 5x and gave up. Thanks for trying.
Thank you!!

Glad you found my video, hope you gave it another try and it worked out

Good video & showing the figure eight lashing. Hammock every time. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
What's up Andy?!!! Good to see a new Inner Bark video. I will be sleeping in my Hennessey Hammock tonight.
Survival On Purpose Oh ya know, just doing the Ranger thing for a bit down here in TX :) How's things with you?
Busy but good. I was camping with the Scouts this weekend.

Ralph Magnus Thanks for checking out the video. Zip goes wherever I'm willing to go; The essence of a shadow dog :)

Very well done videos. You give short background info before getting to the point to clear initial questions. Clear instructions indeed
*thumbs up*
Good vid. Like the seat belt tree bands, unique thought, great strength, less tree/bark damage.

Zip looks happy! Miss seeing the videos Andy. How is the new career going? Wait, that should be Ranger Tran.sir!

Great informative video, thanks for making it :)
Glad you liked it
Ditch the heavy rope, put on whoopie slings and get some long straps from strap works. If your local to Seattle I have a bunch of tips and tricks.
Good Tip
Thanks man, clear, helpful video.
No problem!
Excellent video
Thanks!

Sorry to be rude but what is a piglet
@@jimmydean9875 A cop, but smaller (i'm short)
Ohhhh thanks

+Jesse Clyatt The hennessy is a bit bulky, but its lightweight in my opinion

so jealous of zip. my red heeler is terrified of my hammock lol
It's a double edged sword. He will also jump in when not invited and inevitably land right on my genitals.
Great vid. Do you plan on designing any more knives? Love the TFK
Paul Letourneau Yes I do, I have 2 designs in development now.

Wait a min. Why isn't hammock camping allowed in every park?

Being from North Carolina I don't really understand how things work out west.
Everyone has their own laws though.
New sidearm?
christian seely Good observation :) It's my current duty carry firearm (sig 229 40sw)
I like this video :D
