Hey could you give us measurements of your setup? I have a 4’ foot by 5’ foot walk-in closet I would like to put this in but am not sure if it will fit. I know it’s fully adjustable but I would like to know some rough dimensions. Also does the keyboard tray swivel directly in front of you? I would like this as a work desktop too. The steering wheel being in the way won’t be an issue because I’ll be playing mostly flying sims, occasionally racing. Thanks in advance!
I now have it mounted to the side of the base through the openings of the base.. It's still not as great as it was on the playseat because the rig is so much more rigid but it does the job.
It's convenient for in game access to the keyboard but the steering wheel is in the way of the monitor, unless you tilt the wheel or have a wheel that comes off it may not work great as an all day work desktop.
I don't notice any wobbling on the steering wheel. However I do not have high force feedback on my old wheel. When I upgrade my wheel I can give a better answer.
That’s a good question... if you were only using paddles for shifting I’m sure you could use the gear shifter mount. If you wanted to use an h pattern shifter and a hand brake you’d probably have to make something custom to mount to.
@@iangent.961 yeah may be mount it to the side of the seat holder or something. For the price it looks solid and nice tho. I bet that with some rgb leds strips that silver plate down there will make a show on its own lol. Thanks for your reply man and keep uploading I am subscribing...
Can you comment on how rigid the pedal plate is? Will it hold up to a load cell pedal setup? Love the rig all except the pedal plate looks like it would wobble from side to side at the top under braking.
Shelia Jones I just bought mine from there website and they shipped from California and it took 4 days and it was free shipping and no taxes. they are great and if i had any questions they were easy to contact.
I purchased New GTA Pro Simulator (Black) . The reason I purchased it was because I wanted a solid cockpit for my Fanatec Shift and Steering wheel. Well, I was quite disappointed once I got it and put it all together. The steering mount is solid but the seat, even though I mounted it in it's highest position is too low in relation to the peddle platform. My legs don't sit normally like they should, I mean my feet are raised up to my butt...my peddles are even with my butt...that just ain't right. Also, the way you have the shift mounted to the seat base mounting bracket is a total FAIL. When I shift the hole bracket moves and rocks my keyboard and mouse tray which is on the other side and is another total FAIL. All in all...I was very dissatisfied with the product. Why did you guys not think this through, I mean the shift mount is weak and flimsy, the reason I got this system was to make my shift mount more stable...that just didn't happen...very displeased. Thank goodness I didn't order the monitor stands they would have been rocking all over the place. I won't be looking in your direction for other products because I am so displeased with the over $700 I pretty much wasted on this product.
Look at how flimsy the shift mount is...Total FAIL. Plus the seat is too low in relation to the peddles; another total FAIL! Lots of problems with this system. Looks great, but it's practical design is flawed quit a bit.
Man it must be soooo nice going from that playseat the new rig that you got now. looking to start my setup this year
Great video, Ian!
Thanks!
so having this setup and me being left handed is a blessing. :()
Ian, what tools did you need? Just the Allen?
Could you tell me what the LxWxH on the base, cant find anywhere on website. Awesome video, THANKS!!!!!!!!!
Were your pedals able to mount without cutting or drilling into the pedal plate?
Great video very helpful
Can you please help? I can not get it to work with my xbox one? Thank you in advance for your time!

Question, did you end up finding a better place to mount the buttkicker? I have the same rig and I'm getting the buttkicker with the upgrade. Thanks.

do you recommend the keyboard tray addon? kind of want to turn my rig into a work desktop too ;) cheers

I thought the GTR cockpit Comstock with the slider
There is a slider that comes with it for your pedals. The seat slider is separate, at least at the time I made this video.
How thick is the wheel plate? I can’t really tell from the video or website.
Great review but is it wobbly on the steering wheel?

@@iangent.961 thank you for answering. I'm planning to buy one soon :)
Have you try their 2dof?
@@buikhan I haven’t yet
Is there a way to add a handbreak holder somewhere?

Does it sit higher than the playseat? If so how much?

After using it for a week now I don’t notice any issues with the pedals and I have added stiffer springs since setting up this rig.
Are you doing OK? It's been over two years since you uploaded your previous video to UA-cam.
Can the seat tilt forward?
The seat back will go forward and back like a normal car if that’s what you’re asking.
Should I buy the gta pro of there website?
Summit Racing has them in stock and all the links for the parts I bought are in the video description
