Guy I'm in the Army with was on the design team at York, for the bad boy. Biggest regret ever late 90’s I owned a 71 sublime green 2 dr. Duster it was the smaller 340? 4 speed damn near rust free sold it for 7 fast forward 10 years they skyrocketed? Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda?! Now I don’t pay more than 1500 bucks for a hoopdy. All toward Harley’s!

Always wanted one of those, I remember seeing it back when Harley released its new models, it was just like a 2-page flyer. Those are one of the coolest looking bikes with that paint scheme and the springer front end.
Bad boys are def. Rare when mine was Eight years old I paid 20% over MSRP and have been offered double MSRP recently. Hold on to that one! Bike looks great! Evo’s a dependable engine.

Yeah, you came to a slickhead video, and Usually I’m surrounded by chicks, but this time they were actually chicks!! 😂😂 yeah it sucks. It’s so cold up there. I just got home from riding my Panhead all day. I got her all straightened out, that’s for next weeks video but the temperature got down to 42° when I was out riding!! I have a 95. My first and only Harley. Still runs great and has been very reliable. I’ve had it now for more than half my life and it’ll always have a spot in the garage. Friends and family joke that it’s my longest relationship. Best mod I did to it was swap the 5 speed for a 6 speed transmission. So much easier on the motor at highway speeds. Original paint still shines up nice after nearly 30 years

The purists keep examples together the way they should be kept together hats off to them! I’ve always looked at it: if it’s already chopped run with it. However I have always tried my best to keep them originally operational. Slickhead customs honors both I’v really enjoyed the channel. OEM/Choppers/seen many elusive Knuckleheads too! Really cool!

The year the model the rarity, what percentage of original remains. Your approach to an EVO would be completely different than to a Knucklehead. Only a knucklehead would chop a clean original Knucklehead frame or sand down original paint panhead tins and re-paint with a rattle can. Someone like Joe Dirt would thinking they’re making it better.

When I was younger I used to dig an old dumps. And the trees that would grow up in these downs would bring the bottle sometimes up to the surface. I also would dig in privies or toilets were outside the home. And people through trash in there. And bottles. When I worked at our local museum I pretty much gave them all of my bottles I had dug up I saved a few. That's a nice collection of bottles

I’ve got a 15 hard candy custom 883 low and I absolutely love it. It’s probably the only newer bike I’ve ever liked I grew up in a shop working on them with my grandfather and currently about to go pick up a 51 pan head and rebirth another captain America like Peter Fonda rode in easy rider

When my tanks got damaged on either of my bikes back in the 90’s Harley sent me a new tank fully painted and ready to install. My 90 FXRS the decal flaked off at the 3 year mark. Harley warrantied it. My 94 FXLR fell over or was knocked over, Harley sent me new tank, think it was around $500 already painted to match
It’s amazing how that whole area has changed over the years I have not been there in over 25 years and I guess all of south Jersey has changed and grown up .i loved going to Berlin mart .And there are two bad boys for sale both blue and black the one looks stock in VA
I grew up selling junk with my dad at the Berlin Mart. Good times! He taught me if you sold enough junk for $5 at the end of the day you could have a wad of cash.

I have that same tapestry. Bought it probably 35 years ago. It has the SS. Come on over to my house. I collect antique Coleman lanterns. My oldest is 1919 and it works. I have probably 250 old Colemans.
So cool! I always loved the look of those old lanterns! I bet it’s amazing. Batteries dye fast, aren’t warm, can’t get a fire lit for ya? & definitely don’t look as cool!!!

My township wouldn’t allow it in this backyard anyway!! and at this point in my life with my house just now being paid off, I am not willing to buy another house, have to pack and move, then start all over again, I’m 50 years old. Billy Lanes Bad Boy is a Frankenstein. It looks cool and is fast as hell but he ruined it’s collectable value. Take his name away from it and it’s just a chopped up Bad Boy. Mine may not be the baddest but it’s a Willie G. Davidson design and that’s pretty damn cool.
You’re correct no doubt about it both ours are cleaner I’m sure of it. I’m a fan of Billy’s he’s good people is all. Looked up to him as a builder he also down to earth. Legend in the game status is all joking really? Yours looks cleaner the mine. I also have a few none correct parts. I try to keep em OEM just love tinkering 🤣
He is wrong on nobody doing blackout back then. I blacked out my 90 FXRS. Sumax powder coating was already doing this work in the late 80’s early 90’s. By 92 I blacked out everything except the engine chrome and pipes. The lower legs fork brace triple trees as well as the rear fender struts and rear belt pulley cover. Harley just copied what people where doing.
There’s 2 on Ebay and 1 on a Bad Boy Facebook group. Plan on paying up for one that’s not ripped at the front stud. Mine was ripped but the guy was very reasonable and hooked me up. I used a liquid vinyl patch material which doesn’t look great but keeps it from getting worse.

Many models come and go. Sometimes it may not make sense but many factors are at play. Total production quantity is a biggie? First year of something, last year of something small variances. Slabside shovels are huge in the nerd world of collecting. Didn’t want to believe these things myself until I started having to pay the piper?! 🤣 OEM original examples are a better investment than blue chip stocks 🤣 25 years buying Harley’s in the last 10 or so they’re not going back down? Wish they where 🤣 Harley’s do change every several years but 1903-99 the changes have monetarily written themselves from a nostalgic standpoint within biker/collector community. When I was younger I used to dig an old dumps. And the trees that would grow up in these downs would bring the bottle sometimes up to the surface. I also would dig in privies or toilets were outside the home. And people through trash in there. And bottles. When I worked at our local museum I pretty much gave them all of my bottles I had dug up I saved a few. That's a nice collection of bottles

I’ve got a 15 hard candy custom 883 low and I absolutely love it. It’s probably the only newer bike I’ve ever liked I grew up in a shop working on them with my grandfather and currently about to go pick up a 51 pan head and rebirth another captain America like Peter Fonda rode in easy rider

When my tanks got damaged on either of my bikes back in the 90’s Harley sent me a new tank fully painted and ready to install. My 90 FXRS the decal flaked off at the 3 year mark. Harley warrantied it. My 94 FXLR fell over or was knocked over, Harley sent me new tank, think it was around $500 already painted to match

I have that same tapestry. Bought it probably 35 years ago. It has the SS. Come on over to my house. I collect antique Coleman lanterns. My oldest is 1919 and it works. I have probably 250 old Colemans.
So cool! I always loved the look of those old lanterns! I bet it’s amazing. Batteries dye fast, aren’t warm, can’t get a fire lit for ya? & definitely don’t look as cool!!!

I have those same thoughts often, especially when I’m flip-flopping bikes all around just to do something or ride one!! but one big giant garage just is not in the cards for me. My township wouldn’t allow it in this backyard anyway!! and at this point in my life with my house just now being paid off, I am not willing to buy another house, have to pack and move, then start all over again, I’m 50 years old. He is wrong on nobody doing blackout back then. I blacked out my 90 FXRS. Sumax powder coating was already doing this work in the late 80’s early 90’s. By 92 I blacked out everything except the engine chrome and pipes. The lower legs fork brace triple trees as well as the rear fender struts and rear belt pulley cover. Harley just copied what people where doing.

There’s 2 on Ebay and 1 on a Bad Boy Facebook group. Plan on paying up for one that’s not ripped at the front stud. Mine was ripped but the guy was very reasonable and hooked me up. I used a liquid vinyl patch material which doesn’t look great but keeps it from getting worse.

Many models come and go. Sometimes it may not make sense but many factors are at play. Total production quantity is a biggie? First year of something, last year of something small variances. Slabside shovels are huge in the nerd world of collecting. Didn’t want to believe these things myself until I started having to pay the piper?! 🤣 OEM original examples are a better investment than blue chip stocks 🤣 25 years buying Harley’s in the last 10 or so they’re not going back down? Wish they where 🤣 Harley’s do change every several years but 1903-99 the changes have monetarily written themselves from a nostalgic standpoint within biker/collector community. Chopper guys myself included are baffled 🤔
