    I agree about the portals , some of the big pumpkins make the portals useless , nice build , your finished one looking good too 😊

    I built the same chassis last year, came out pretty good!

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  Рік тому

      Yes, it was a good deal for the price, some things I like, some things I prefer the Injora chassis, But Ive had the Injora chassis a while and have worked out a lot of its issues. This one will be the same, just time and testing.

      thanks so much, still making a lot of set up changes to find the right combo but its getting there.

    I just assembled the same kit. There was a lot of slop at the link mounts on mine as well. I bought a cheap bag of silicone "O" rings to put between the link balls and mount points on the axles as well as frame mounts locations. Snugged them right up without restricting movement. Only on one side of each ball link though. Works great. Love all your builds and videos 👍
    Keep up the great work!

    all your parts are great only difference from my build is the motor I went 1800 and that was because I was told the 1200kv motor was better on a straight axle and the 1800 worked better on portals time will tell I have both could be bs.but old mate has steered me straight so far has to do with torque curve from motors and gear ratios in diff and portals

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  Рік тому

      yes we will see, I can always throw the 1200 in the injora crawler and order an 1800 if I need to

    I'd be curious if it would be worth adding a carrier bearing in the back there and bending the links up more for clearance. Looks like you could gain almost an inch or so more clearance

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  10 місяців тому +1

      I haven't had any issues since I have clearance with the portals

    • @keldonator
      @keldonator 10 місяців тому

      @@leesrcs Yea it doesn't need it, these seem to perform well. I should have said breakover not clearance. Might be able to get over sharper points with a carrier bearing setup but it would also add a bit of weight up higher.

    Hey can you flip the trans around were the motor would be in the forward facing way

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  8 місяців тому

      yes, you can run it either way you want.

    Awesome build! Do you remember what link kit you used? Scx10iii?

    • @mattp_505
      @mattp_505 4 місяці тому

      Never mind I found your link for the parts. I’m thinking of stretching the front links to 80&85, or maybe 90&95 what are your thoughts

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  4 місяці тому

      the shorter they are the better it will climb vertically but sometimes you have to be able to clear driveshafts or servos, I don't think 10 mil difference is gonna hurt it much.

  • @jameswisecarver

    Can you turn the motor and transmission the other way? Be better for weight distribution

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  7 місяців тому

      yes, you can run it either way, just depends on the length of your motor and if it clears your front links.

    • @leesrcs

      just a set of LCG links from amazon, the link to them should be in the description of one of the videos

      Thanks so much for subscribing, it means a lot !
      Im just using the short aluminum side plates that came with the kit, not really sliders, you can see what comes in the kit in this video when I introduced the build. But I may be changing out to a delrin skid and sliders soon.

    • @leesrcs
      @leesrcs  11 місяців тому +1

      LCG's work better with the short front and longer rear links. But yes you can use stock links, it will just change your balance.
