Love BPS Knives and appreciate people reviewing them. They really deserve a lot of attention. Their YT channel shows how hands on they are with each knife. Amazing for the price especially. Also it’s cool to support them with all going on right now.
It's a good idea to buy these knives while they're in stock, BPS has announced they've ceased production for now because it's dangerous. Buying the remaining stock will certainly be a morale booster for them and hopefully keep their workers on payroll as long as possible.
Glad you finally got to get out in the woods for a minute no matter how long you stay out there's never enough nothing a great knife good luck my brother

I owned that one for about 2 weeks now, I have patina the blade to a stone grey color with some darker color for a age look..made its full sandi into a sandi-vex..at 1st i thought it was going to be a knife to throw away. But I have taken a liking to it..thus i custom it..I well say if its used on soft woods"pine and other fern trees" it works wonderful holds it edge...until you use it against hardwood..it well dull or roll on you in no time so best way is to add a 2nd bevel or convex its edge. Its a good knife for light duty but can take a little beating.
Thanks! Yep I agree! I only use my knives especially cheaper ones for light duty tasks, as like with most things you only get what you pay for. So that being said cheap knife so I don’t expect it to perform as well as a expensive steel. Great budget all rounder though as long as it’s used within its parameters. Nice one my friend 👍🏽👍🏽😎

It's great to see a fair and honest review that has been seen by a manufacturer. I love my B1 and it performs as good or even better than knives costing many times more. Oh my god that looks like a bargain. Looking forward to seeing how it performs in the woods. Really looks just like the bushlore. They were only 30 quid when I bought mine. The price has skyrocketed since then. Hopefully they have learnt how to put an edge on them too. My bushlore didn't quite have the same edge on it as the knife you have just showed us, to put it mildly.

The early models were stainless steel as this one is, they changed the material later, I’ve used it for over a year now and it’s been absolutely brilliant, I’ve strop it a couple of times but no major issues, for the price I’d definitely recommend it! Best wishes mate 👍🏽👍🏽😎

@@MadDogSurvival Wow I didn't know that, I'm in the states and I just ordered the 1066 carbon steel BPS B1 from Amazon for $28.95 USD. I wish Amazon offered it in a stainless-steel version. I live in a humid area of the US and I'm worried about corrosion. I think I might have to force some kind of patina on it. Thanks for the link 👍.
I prefer carbon steel as I can also use my knife with flint to make fire, can’t do that with stainless, and carbon steel usually holds a better edge and is easily re sharpened in the field. However it is sensible to use stainless steel if your close to the coast due to the salt content in the air and water. Just my opinions brother. Thanks for watching. Best wishes friend 👍🏽👍🏽😎
Thanks for the feedback! Yep I sometimes have a volume problem and I still can’t figure out what’s happening! I’ll get there! Thanks for letting me know mate 👍🏽 best wishes 😎
Why on earth would you want a knife with this blade geometry made out of 5Cr steel?? You can pick up a Mora for a lot less with excellent steel so it's not actually a good deal for the money and it's not a "nod" to the Bushlaw it's a copy made out of cheap Chinese steel... Use it for 5 minutes doing bushcraft and then reevaluate the sharpness again and then buy a proper knife that will last you for years.. You can buy an Old Hickory now for £29 and it comes with a leather sheath and uses 1095 carbon which will hold an edge way way longer than 5Cr.. Another option is a Bahco 2449 wrecking knife. Uses SK5 Carbon steel and is a beast.. Costs about £14... Also a Scandi grind (high shoulder). Sorry to be negative but use it and then review it and let people know what else is out there if people are looking for a knife with not much money to spend..
I understand your points and you are definitely correct, however I was showing this as it’s nice to own something that is at least in the style of a traditional Bushcraft knife without the cost. I have been using it regularly and up to now has performed well! Thanks for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your input. Best wishes
@@MadDogSurvival I am looking at some of their other knives in carbon and you are certainly right about them being inexpensive. I will pick up a carbon one maybe the BS2FT and give it a go.. Bit of a strange one as it's almost a Kephart design with a Scandi edge so I am just too curious to pass that by for the price. Fair play that they can make these knives with a leather sheath for that price.. Also nice to see them coming out of the Ukraine. Now if they could make their stainless knives out of Sandvic rather than 5CR that would be a huge step up. Take care
Yep definitely agree with you!!! If they upped the quality of the materials and did a little more on the finish details then they would have a great product..... as long as the price point didn’t go up ! Thanks again for your comments and watching! Best wishes 👍🏽😎
Got mine today in the mail. Agree totally with everything you said in the video. But, for the price it can't be beat. Try buying a similar knife from American or Swedish manufactures that cost several hundred dollars or more! Should be reliable and take a beating. Toronto, Canada.
Suggestion to BPS since you seem to have a direct contact. On the BPS1FTS model, the upper part of the sheath where the welt and the leather sides terminate are not firmly joined. This allows the knife to easily slip out of the sheath when held on a downward angle. Perhaps, they could add small rivets as in the BPS-BS3FTS model. A very snug and secure fit for the knife. Otherwise, these are well made and durable knives. Koodos to BPS! Toronto, Canada. We have plenty of Bush to Craft over here!!
Yep I would definitely agree! I only have had contact with BPS via buying their knives and them watching my reviews so I don’t have direct contact as such, I can only hope that they continue to watch the feedback and comments. Thanks again brother best wishes 👍🏽👍🏽😎

Thanks! For the size of the blade the thickness should be fine mate! Best wishes 👍🏽👍🏽😎
For 20 quid ya can’t go wrong
Thanks again brother! Yep I agree 👍🏽👍🏽😎
I thought the BPS B1 Bushcraft Knife
was made of 1066 high carbon steel like all their knives.
The early b1 knife was made of stainless not sure about the current material, I’ve had it around a year or more now, still a good little knife 👍🏽👍🏽😎

No worries mate! Best wishes 👍🏽😎
Nice looking knive how much is that in dollars, Ron from Indiana.
Thanks again brother ! I believe that it equates to about $28 not a bad price! Best wishes friend 👍🏽👍🏽😎
is it just me or does he seem like a guy you could hang out with?
Thanks brother! I like to think I’m easy to get on with. Take care my mate 👍🏽👍🏽😎
I agree ... cool dude
Why so low on the stainless steel people complain about 8cr13mov must less 5cr
I prefer carbon steel as I can also use my knife with flint to make fire, can’t do that with stainless, and carbon steel usually holds a better edge and is easily re sharpened in the field. However it is sensible to use stainless steel if your close to the coast due to the salt content in the air and water. Just my opinions brother. Thanks for watching. Best wishes friend 👍🏽👍🏽😎
I have ear phones and volume cranked and can barley hear.
Bargain, can’t really complain at that price.
Yep definitely agree mate! 👍🏽👍🏽😎
Got mine today in the mail. Agree totally with everything you said in the video. But, for the price it can't be beat. Try buying a similar knife from American or Swedish manufactures that cost several hundred dollars or more! Should be reliable and take a beating. Toronto, Canada.
Thanks mate! Glad you liked it! Hope you enjoy yours and it serves you well! Best wishes mate 👍🏽👍🏽😎
