I’m good friends with Jack Lowery in Manchester TN. I was just going to ask him to ask you what kind these were. 😂 Saw them on another video you posted. Glad you saved me the trouble. I run several Lyson polys, and bees can heat them with a match. Tiny colonies come through fine (TN mountains). Appreciate the tips over the years. 👍😎🐝
I use some of the 10 frame poly hives (Beebox, Paradise). Im in Ohio. Overall i like them but as you say, the distance below the bottom frames and bottom board is excessive and the bees will build comb off the bottom of the frames, usually at a slight angle too. The boxes are typical for European in that they are "bottom space" and the frames are level with the top of the boxes. Tiny ants will burrow into the poly and create a catacomb which weakens the boxes. You can stack wood supers on them during the flow, they line up fine. Definitely do not drop one or major repair is in order. I have several and do like them.
Good to see you making videos again id love to know where you got the 3d printed robbing screens from or where i could get files to print some myself hope your doing alot better and enjoying the bees again.
Thank you! Was wanting more details on these hives! Appreciate the honesty of your videos!! We are seeing much colder temps in middle Tennessee last two years!

Hello Joe, the last time I watched your videos you were running almost all wooden boxes. It's nice to see you are still at it. Think of it this way. Most of us would rather you put out a few good, meaningful videos per year, rather than burning yourself out on videos. Looking forward to watching.

Glad to see you back. Dara from Hive Alive is a great guy and they have great nutritional products for our honeybees.
Could you please share what pollen sub you use?
