Totally agree, most people are too hasty with judgements based on preconceptions, an outsiders influence, and tropes that they make uninformed often incorrect conclusions, particularly when it comes to Gale and Lae'zel. Wyll is often dismissed as boring too easily I feel. She does a superb job letting all the characters shine. 👍

Good news for you and your new goddess Minthara: It is sufficient to knock her unconscious (toggle to "non-lethal" in combat). It will be all Rainbows and unicorns with the druids and the tieflings and later you will even have the opportunity to save her!
I was wondering if someone would tell her lol. Its weird that like a non lethal melee is what opens up a whole character's storyline later on and the game never tells you. This game is wild so many branches lots of replayability.

To the point that not all of her dialogue makes sense on a good route/if you didn't let the grove get destroyed. They only added the ability to non-lethal her because people begged Larian to make it easier to recruit her on other playthroughs
As much as I love Minthara, the time I tried this it just felt weird. The game's clearly not designed with this in mind, and I just eventually gave up and started a new playthrough because of it. So I'm not sure I would recommend this for a first time playthrough.

LOVE that you're loving BG3 so much! When the time comes that you've finished it, if you're still itching for similar experiences with games where you play your own character and get to know and romance the companions, I highly suggest Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I think you'll really love either.
There IS actually a way to get Minthara as a companion without having to kill the tieflings and druids! I don't recall the exact specifics, but i know it involves toggling on non-lethal takedowns when you go to fight her, and if you've done it correctly then later in the game you'll find her again and have the opportunity to recruit her. AND that way you can keep Halsin -and not have to kill the tiefling theif kids-too!
Need to not have Halsin in your party, toggle on non-lethal attacks, and then make her “temporarily hostile”, easy way is to swipe a scroll off her desk BEFORE starting any conversation. After you knock her out, she shows up in Moonrise Tower in Act 2 and you have to rescue her from the dungeon.

You're talking with Gale about Mystra - that exact conversation starts for me... Are you a divination wizard or something? 😂
