HW 97 V Glide installation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 тра 2015
- This is a video I did when I installed he V Glide assembly into my HW 97. The V Glide kit was purchased as a whole unit from Steve Pope who makes them for the gun. He checks the mechanism in his test bed gun before supply in order to set the power to the desired level.
A very big thank you in sharing your knowledge of doing something that without your guidance, faith, and enthusiasm, I'd have never attempted.
Thank you!
I've recently bought this gun. In a word: Outstanding!
If anybody is out for a springer , this is one of the best by far great survival gun, hw 97k the dogs best wishes dave chubb
Many thanks for doing the install vid ....... I`ll be referring to it when the kit turns p for my 97.
Steve's a gent to deal with and very helpful
Complimenti al rimbambito che ha aggiunto la traduzione, proprio sulle immagini
you do a sterling job there !
The best way to remove the trigger block is to clamp the gun then wrap the block in a good piece of leather strip and use a pair of adjustable grips that way you don't have to hammer away trying to knock the pins out and end up damaging your trigger. Everything comes out in one piece saves time too.
Great gun bro
I live in the Netherlands and have a 21 joules hw97 is it to do with that spring to release the blok by hand and some pressure?
Thanks for sharing, nice presentation.

Hi Neil
You didn’t need the cocking lever machines or the trigger block checked by steve then? As Steve said the cocking lever 75% of the time give a very minor twang when cocking and returning...you just put your v-glide straighter ? Nice vid
your punching the pins from the wrong side.To take the pins out the safety must be underneath and replacing the safety most up side and visible.I am a professional tuner with over 300 77/97 tuned.
should the kit be greased before assembling ?
Hi just wondering how many shots would it take to bed in a v glide as my v glide is on its way back next week
Great video
Seems like he doesn’t reply to messages
Very nice!
Awesome
Yep luvly , but why button a piston that has no contact with anything anyway ? Its free floating just like the diana 52 . Touches nothing at all whatsoever one tiny little bit ! The only surface that makes contact is the piston seal , no metal at all . My tip is get the acetal top hat and spring guide . Do your homework on grease ! Because moly has slowed airguns down for over 30 years . Theres some wicked friction free lubes out there guys .MOLY come on stoneage shizny . You wouldnt put moly near an fac springer it slows everything down !
Do you think Teflon bearing grease would work?
honest question. Why would this and other "home made" pistons would be better than the original one? And if their better why theit are not there in the first place?

M8 it would have been better if u changed position of camera, would be able to see alot easier.
Please could you send me where to get the v glide bits for my hw97 KT I have put a v mach tune kit in and would now like to v glide it like you're guns an vids thanks

How much did that set you back? I'd love one of these but the price and the fact you can't get it sent directly to you puts me off.
I think the black version would have looked nice in your silver gun.

The V Glide kits are over 200 quid mate. Horses for courses on the looks. Personally I like the silver finish :)
@@shootingatdawn I think he meant that the black version of the V-glide would look better in the silver stock. But I don't think the V-glide comes in black does, it? Hehehe...I have the same Stl look gun and it just looks the biz, with the black barrel weight for contrast.
