- Rainy Day Comfort Food 🍲 + Father-Son Haircuts 💈 | Hon Kei Food Corner & 4 Razors Barbershop
In this video, we took full advantage of the rainy weather to enjoy a comforting family dinner at Hon Kei Food Corner, a legendary spot on Jalan Kampung Malabar in Georgetown, Penang. Known for decades as a go-to place for porridge and noodles, this restaurant is a true favorite for locals.
Here’s what we tried:
🍲 Pork Porridge - A hearty bowl packed with minced pork, liver, intestines, kidney, and even pig brains.
🍜 Mee Suah Pork Soup - Another signature dish, perfect for a cool, rainy evening.
They also offer other tasty options like salted vegetable and pork soup, tomyum flavors, and even vinegar pork trotters.
The flavors were so rich and comforting-this meal was the highlight of our day!
The next morning, Isaac and I visited 4 Razors Barbershop on Jalan Veterinari for fresh haircuts. Watch until the end to see our matching hairstyles! It was a fun bonding moment and a great way to wrap up the weekend.

Bro.... looking 10 years younger after the haircut 😂
Hahahahaha thank you bro!!!
Bro, you are so blessed to have 3 well behaved kids. Kids are not so picky on food. You and your wife did a great job on bringing the kids up. My wife said Naomi will grow a very good big sister.
Anyway the best pork porridge is the stall beside the left rear of Chowrasta Market.
Thank you so much... og the Chowrasta chee cheong chok is really good, one of my favorites too!
Wahhh handcome boy Issac🎉. And your children are all good eaters. They really enjoy all the food. Best wishes to all. Btw, Naomi is all grown up and so pretty now.
@@jessl9727 she is growing up fast... got some teen angst soon. 😆😆😆
Have gone through those moments…. 😊
great, father n son look alike 😄 thanks for sharing the porridge look very good👍
The porridge is really good! You should try it if you ever visit.
Whoa! I was drooling all through the meal scenes!!!
Two handsome boys. Nice ❤🎉
I really like the porridge. Can eat everyday, feels like a light meal. But the pork is a lot. LOL
I stayed at Hotel Malaysia everytime I visited Penang. Never knew there is a good porridge shop along Penang Road. Will drop in someday.
Oh from Hotel Malaysia you can walk there.... After Chulia Street junction, past Line Clear Nasi Kandar, the next left turn a few doors on the right you will see this restaurant.
Wah, handsome la Bapak dan Isaac.
The broth looks damn good. No way we can get such quality in SG.Sigh.
Thanks for sharing,bro.
You are welcome!!! Come and try lah when you visit Penang.
Yeah, long over due for Issac to get a hair cut now handsome boy lor😘
Before this his hair usually cut by mom. Then he went to mom's hairdresser. Now trying dad's barber!
Good morning bro wah nice haircut both handsome lo😅😊
Hehehe thank you.... my mother didn't like it though. Haiyahhhh... LOL
See u eat, I also feel hungry. But I'm not spare parts or moay guy. So will probably go for misua with pork.
U look very happy when your wife pass spare parts to you 😂. Kids expressions are so cute. So funny when your wife say the thing she don't like is to pay haha
Whao, slick haircuts. Nice!!!! 👍
Got fish meat and fish head porridge too. My family likes to eat those spare parts hahaha... when I was young, liver and all this stuff was expensive. Then it became cheap during the cholesterol scare. Now it is getting expensive again.
@pishedbloke Haha....I can see that your family really loves spare parts. I could not imagine myself eating the brain.... so creamy 🤣
Haha! Me also makan few mths back during my biz trip in Penang. Terus sangkut sama tu brain selap ohh
Wah lucky you tried... you also like brain... High 5 bro!!!
Made me all hungry with the porridge...RM14.50 is reasonable with that much of quality ingredients.
Yup...haircuts looking gd too!
Thanks... ya lah so much meat. RM14.50 OK lah
Yay 👏👏👏father & son looked handsome😃😄😁🇨🇦💐☃️❄️⛄️💐🇨🇦
Thank you thank you... I wish my hair didn't grow so fast LOL
❤😊 happy meals .
Thank you!!!
Nice haircut like father like son😊
Thanks!!!
RM14. 50 is still reasonable in these times n in air cond. When it was still a roadside stall beside the kopitiam in Kg Malabar, it was about RM8 if I m not mistaken. I miss sitting and eating in the open air in the evenings. Before they opened only in the evenings.
It still tastes just as good.... plus a lot of pork. I think it is definitely reasonable.
Handsome boy 👍
Thank you... my son also not bad lah. LOL
Leng chai father and son 😁
Hehehe thanks!!!
Sibeh entau both doddy and son lepas haircut..doddy looks so young and dangerous!!!😂
Hahaha I think if I dye my hair can look like DVD seller. LOL

Thank you from the both of us!
I don't like this type of teochew porridge. Prefer the Cantonese style haha. Also why la skin cut?
Variety is the spice of life!
