I got to try Feijoada for the first time and I LOVED IT! Shoutout to these Mums for being amazing!
Stay tuned for more eps from these Mums!
We all like a little shade cmon but yes they were nice
"Maravilloso"?! Please, we speak portuguese in Brazil, nos spanish! This was VERY OFFENSIVE!
@@kadikaado It wasn't offensive just a small mistake... E eu digo isso como brasileiro.
@@kadikaado I don't think it's offensive but yeah it's a bit annoying cause people mistake it all the time
@@kadikaado snowflake, Eles Apenas digitou uma letra errada, é isso.
Finally moms that play fair. It’s nice to see them being kind but still constructive. I can’t remember the last time I saw all the moms giving honest feedback ❤
Yes! The Italian women were the same too. It’s good to see kind but constructive criticism.
Or Maybe they can really cook 😂
@@adrov849 I came to mention them too, the Italian moms. They were great!
We are very kind here in Brazil, it's kinda offensive to talk shirt about others dishes, if we don't enjoy it, we still gonna thank the person who made the dishe and we'll be like "🥲 it's amazing thank you, delicious but I'm so full, I can't eat anymore, but it's great"
@@adulrashad5603 everyone can really cook
It’s more enjoyable to watch when the mums actually judge fairly. Akua could never 😂😂😂
Flesh and blood hath not revealed this to you.. Lol
😂😂😂
Akua be catching subs everywhere 😂
@@bellab9620 as she should! 😂😂😂
Mr Petty lmao
I love how Adriana said "I think I'm gonna lose, because this is so good.", and still gave it the 10/10 she thought it deserved. A humble queen.
Love how supportive they were of each other's dishes! You could tell that they weren't just here to rate everybody else's dish low so they had a higher chance of winning, which is usually the case for at least one of them
That was the best part of this video!!! They are so nice❤️❤️❤️
Right, good vibes
i think the issue is with some contestants always trying to hard to be "entertaining", thinking that we as viewers enjoy the constant shade, when really it gets boring quickly.
I met some brazilians at work and they introduced me to feijoada, guarana, caiprinhas, picanha… They were instantly my best friends!!!!
this is what we live for!!!
Guarana is the best soda in the world . Lol .
É disso que nós gostamos KKKKKKKK
Aww I love that whenever my friends come round they love guarana.
Definitely recommend trying coxinha, brigadeiro, beijinhos
glad u liked it! ❤
As a brazilian, I love to hear when they speak portuguese. Makes me realize how much of a beautiful language we have. There’s power in saying “farofa” 😂💕
and no translation! i love farofa, i can eat it with everything
Portuguese is such a beautiful language. When women speak it, it sounds like they're singing. I love listening to people speak Portuguese
SAME!! I don’t speak Portuguese myself but I’m half Brazilian and grew up hearing the language all my life. It makes me so happy to hear it.
I can tell Danda will be the fan favorite. She reminds me of the Italian mom who always had a smile ☺️
Yesss. The one with the curly hair as well right?
Edimara is the sweet lady with curly hair and is always smiling
Yes! She had curly hair too!
@@feliciadivinacarrasco5164 Its funny bc Edimara is ethnically Brazilian, i love her🥰
Yes, she's a lovely, biracial lookin' lady! 💖
Every Brazilian person I've ever met has been the most chill, friendly, cool person ever lol. This video further reconfirms that. I love when these videos feature kind and honest reviews where they don't care about winning. I watched a mini-doc recently about kite fighting in a specific favela in Brazil. It was crazy how friendly the competition was. I don't know what it is about Brazilian culture, but they really don't have the same innate desire to cut down people they view as competition as a lot of people in the Western world do. Awesome country, it's a tragedy my country (US) goes out of its way to destabilize that region just to procure cheap oil. Love to Brazil
I know you didn’t intend anything bad with the comment, but it’s a bit boring how so many foreign views upon Brazil rely at some point on the favelas. I understand it can be interesting somehow, but personally I wish ppl could not stress it so much as it is a though topic that can be either too romanticised or too demonised, not to mention that complicated hoods are not exclusive or part of the reality of all Brazil, but for some reason it’s always a top subject when talking about the country…
Anyway, don’t take this personally, you were actually very respectful :)
We have Feijoada in my father's country Benin, it was introduced to our culture by Brazilian exiles.
Thank you for sharing I love learning about cool stuff like this
@@lechatnocternal4817 My pleasure ❤
That's really cool, I didn't know that. I will search a little bit more about this, this is interesting. Thanks for sharing. Saudações do Brasil 🇧🇷
I feel like Danda only lost because she didn't provide rice orange & cassava but I feel her food would bang cos of her energy
I don't know where does Danda come from but I would say that there are some little differences between feijoadas you can find around Brazil. Where I am from, if I went to a restaurant or something, I would never find a feijoada in Sonia's style because the sauce was too thick, here we have an appetizer called Caldinho that consist just of the sauce, so if you make it that way you can't get enough sauce. Also, although I agree with the oranges and cabbage part, I wouldn't say it's a must have, at least from where I live, in general people (myself included) eat it just like the first two: in a bowl and just the feijoada itself.
@@mathseacav Would you mind answering where are tou from? Because here in São Paulo rice, farofa, kale and orange are definetly must haves when eating feijoada haha
@@zuzuomelete Pernambuco
@@mathseacav Aqui no Ceará tbm não tem laranja. Nunca comi feijoada com laranja

The most wholesome group. Please bring these ladies back!
Shout out to all the Brazilians!!! This has to be to the most pleasant and satisfying food judgement I’ve ever seen on UA-cam 🤗 ♥️!!!
preciate it 🙏🏽
These are the nicest moms I've seen on this series!
The Italian mummas were sweetie pies.
I am so proud of being Brazilian when I watch this video, cuz is it by far the most respectful one i"ve seen in a long time! It really shows how warm and kind Brazilians are
I visited Brazil in 201. Definitely an amazing country. Everyone was kind and friendly and the place is gorgeous
I don’t usually comment, even though I never miss these type of videos. I just wanted to say that this has to be the best competition on this channel so far. The contestants were fair, gave constructive criticism and were not afraid to show their admiration for one another’s dish. I’m impressed to say the least! I would love to see more from these lovely ladies again.
Now this is what we want to see. No shade, no grand-standing, just enjoying food and judging fairly. These ladies are sweet
I love that we finally have people who aren't afraid to give something a 10/10 when they really like the dish. 👍🏾
I love Danda's personality! She is so positive and I love that. I also like Adriana. She seems like a genuinely good person
Danda is the real winner for me. She is such a great cheerful and positive lady with great vibes.
I'm not Brazilian, but I appreciate seeing this kind of Brazilian representation! Have them drink caipirinhas next :D
That said, come on Buzzfeed. "Maravilloso" (5:41) is SPANISH! If I remember my Portuguese classes correctly, the word she said was "maravilhoso."
Yeees!!
She just pronounced it lightly but the lho was there😊😊😊
You're absolutely right, my friend!
I love these moms. They respected each other and gave praise whenever possible. Please bring them back.
I love how nice and supportive they are of each other.
Brazilians are really kind and nice.
I love danda personality lol she don't care if she lose or not
All of them were so respectful and kind
I loved Feijoada it’s my favourite Brazilian food especially on sweet potato fries 😍
So happy to see one where ALL are positive and constructive without being nasty over critical like some of the mums you have on here 🤧
Mums take notes from these graceful polite ladies.
Watching them enjoying, rating fairly and giving constructive criticism had me smiling the whole video ❤️
Love this Brazilian mums vibes ✨
Greetings from another latino ✨ Sendings hugs from México
Watching these mom's is a breath of fresh air. Go Brazil
I’ve never even heard of Feijoada until this video but now I’m dying to try it and the love and passion all these ladies showed it has me super excited and invested to one day try it
You should, it's brazil's national dish for a reason, it never fails to put a smile in the face of who's eating it.
You should come to Brazil then hahahahah the people here are really welcoming towards foreigners and our food is absolutely amazing :)
It was very refreshing to watch these ladies be so nice and supportive of the other ladies dishes and not nasty like in some of the past videos. These ladies were very nice to watch.
Impressed with these Brazilian moms! Nicest bunch of all, so generous and loving :)
Aweomse series, can't wait to watch the other competitions!
Most Portuguese speaking countries (CPLP) have their own version of Feijoada. It would be awesome to have a competition between these countries and their feijoada and maybe other similar dishes (Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde, Guiné-Bissau, etc)!
yes definitely! 🇦🇴🇦🇴
siim🇲🇿
Yup the love of beans and rice is mandatory
That would be so cool to watch
Seria muito bom ver 🇸🇹
as a brazilian I have to say the farofa with banana and sauteed kale and the caldinho are the best part of a feijoada
farofa de banana da terra é demais de bom!!!
Its not sauteed kale at all its couve (spring greens in english i think) Kale is disgusting
@@l.n963 I think they call "couve" collard greens. It's definetly not the same as kale, even though we call kale "couve kale". I love kale in juices, but it's too fibrous otherwise.
@@000euMJ yes you are right. But at the end its just genetic variations of the same plant
If Danda had rice, farofa, kale and orange she probably would be runner up
This is the most constructive criticism giving group I've seen
These mums are awesome, no hate just honesty and enjoyment. Love to see it!!!
All that's missing is a short video about how each mom made her dish (like you include in other episodes from this series but for some reason omitted here). Yes, know I can get a Feijoada recipe from the the internet, but I'm still interested in each person's cooking methods (ingredients, quantities, prep, order of addition, cooking time, etc).
The thing I love the most about this one is how genuine the panelists are. This has been my favorite panel. Well done, Brazilian mums!
These mums are really good vibes! Danda is the sweetest. Can't wait to see more from them!
Finally moms that are not biased and rude towards each other.
almost reminds me of a Jamaican dish called stew peas. So cool how a lot of dishes from around the world have some similarities. I'd love to try some Feijoada one day, yum!
It makes sense since the dish feijoada is originally heritage of the African enslaved people brought to Brazil
@@Lilo.-. thanks for teaching me something new :)
Yes! Please, take us to Brazil, these Mums were lovely & I'd like to see More Brazilian Food
I like how these women are actually good people and not rating based on competition
This is similar to stew peas in the Caribbean Jamaica especially. We use red kidney beans, corned pigtails, turkey neck or chicken feet
we can use other types of beans in feijoada (but black beans are more common)
I think it is common in all parts of Latin American and the Caribbean but of different names. It's originally a dish that slaves made with the less desireable parts of the pig, such as the hooves and snout, since these were all they could get.
I think it must be present in all countries that recieved African slaves, including the USA and Mexico.
Please, bring more Brazilian dishes with these nice ladies! ♥️
I loved how positive everyone was. They weren’t there to tear anyone else down, just to enjoy their food and share the experience. Loved it
*Danda is the most genuinely beautiful and fair person I have ever seen on this series!!!* 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Love that when it came to talking about couve, all of the moms got confused about how to translate it. Kale, just "green", cabbage, one even went as far as calling it green beans lol It's collard greens, girls
Omgosh this is the first buzzfeed where the moms are soo nice to each other! I love it! And it was genuine, constructive criticism!!! There should be more like this!!!
Finally sweet women, and kind to each other ❤❤❤
My favorite group! They were all fair and didn’t down score so they could be the winner!
More Brazilian moms please and thank you.
Wow, they have been the most fair, respectful and gracious group so far. They are all winners in my books👑👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️❤️🏆🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇👍👍👍👍
Between this and the Italian mamas my heart is melting 😍❤️🥺
These moms were so nice it was very refreshing
I love when they give comments without being mean or rude, this one was so nice to watch.
These ladies were wonderful. They were very fair with their scoring.
The most wholesome set of guests so far. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Omg finally a good honest competition...people that actually taste the food instead of barely eating anything like children. This was so good!!
Finally my country! And honest, fair, amazing moms as expected to complement. You guys should bring them back, please!
Proud to be Brazilian and see some civilised mums in this competition. Well done!
really nice to see these mums, brazilian people are so wholesome. reach out to me if someone would like to get a translated recipe 💖
I literally love how all of them spoke Portuguese and had that accent
Finally some Brazilian moms! I love these type of videos and watch it all the time 😍 nice to see a bit of my culture here too!
This is exactly what we wanna see, Positive Vibes. 🤩
No Spitting, No disgusting faces like other videos .🤢🤮
I loved these ladies. I could sit and have coffee or tea with them and listen to them talk about their moms all day.
Positivity always wins...this group were enjoyable to watch
These ladies are so nice! So lovely to watch 😊
Danda has the BEST VIBE!!!! Truly genuine
Brazilians are the kindest people ❤️
Brazilian moms are the best ❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷 so proud to be Brazilian, I love my mom's feijojada too, is one of my favorite dishes ❤️
This was my favorite video I love how supportive they were of each others meal
Gente.... "couve" in English is collard greens. Not cabbage, not green beans, not kale. 🤣🤣🤣 Feijoada is served with collard greens.
In my country Benin ( in West Africa) we also have a dish named exactly the same but pronounced "Féchuoada" also a black beans meal with meat in it. I only heard about it's existence in Brazil about 3months ago and I found it astonishing. I know over different countries it's common to share the same meal with different names but here it's exactly same dish, name and components and I was wondering, was it our people as slaves that cooked it for the masters and they adopted it over the years or was it a colonial meal that we ( black people, Beninese) got from them I really wonder.
I find it kinda fascinating
Feijoada comes from the African that were brought to Brazil. But As everything in Brazil, it mixes different cultures together, like the cale that people like to eat together with feijoada is very common in Portugal.
Brazil is culturally diverse and African heritage is very strong im here.
Feijoada is considered of African origin, evem though there are disagreements about it (some people claim it's origin from French and Portuguese stews with similar compositions). But in the case of Benin thd name of the plate clearly has roots in the Portuguese language, since Feijoada comes from Feijão (beans in Portuguese) and it clearly influenced the name "Feichouada".
My guess is that it probably arrived in your country brought by the Agudás (or Agouda), which were former enslaved Afro-Brazilians that decided to go back to Africa after gaining their freedom, and even though these people were of African descent most of them were Brazilians by birth and had Portuguese as they mother tongue.
I'm impressed by this piece of information. Thanks a lot.
@@lucasdias2875 It doesn't come from African cuisine, but from the fact that all the African slaves could get were the basic staples and less desirable parts of the pig such as hooves and snouts.
It is established in much of the Lusophone sphere of influence because of the Portuguese slave trade, as well as the Brazilian diaspora in Africa.
Finally... a great group of Moms with great attitudes and constructive criticism that mirrors their scores. I love feijoada... especially seved with all the sides.
Adriana really came THROUGH with that full Feijoada plate, she KNEW what she was doing! Wish I could taste it.

I really really enjoyed these competitors. They were respectful but very competitive. And now I would really like a big serving of feijoada because it looks delicious and it's -1 degrees Celsius here so it sounds very comforting. 😆
I love these mums. So graceful and kind.
I love Brazilian food I have been to the Brazilian steakhouses I always liked the way they cook
In my city there used to be a small, circus-themed bar... that also served Brazilian food, including feijoada. Not carnivale, like a literal circus. It was an odd, but cool, place. And while I can't speak to how good the fejoiada was, my friends and I found it delicious.
This was so beautiful and wholesome, hahaha
As a Brazilian, I was happy with this video, showing our culture to the world! 🇧🇷❤️
Sands is so sweet! All the ladies are so beautiful. ❤ I like this group, it seems like they are really fair with their judgments 👏🏾
Oh I love how honestly they score ❤❤❤❤
a video that makes me so happy cuz of all of their positive personalities
YES!! SOME BRAZILIAN REPRESENTATION 👏👏👏 Please excuse me while I down 10 bowls of Feijoada with rice lol
Really enjoyable one. Danda's energy came across as soon as she opened her mouth. I did ask about the farofa a couple of times. too. The one lady was a little cabbage obsessed, no? I will never understand passing black beans off as feijoada, so, that feedback was not surprising. Please don't tell me you made feijoada and give me beans. Lol. The flavor of the meat is too necessary. A fun, and supportive group!! More of this.
Loved this! I HAVE to have farofa, torresmo (fried pork rinds) and HOT SAUCE with my feirjoada!!!!! I can't believe nobody put the pimenta on it, but it looks good. I live in Rio de Janeiro and eat feijoada EVERY Friday. It's like my religion!!!!
Brazilians are the coolest people I have ever met! I would love to try feijoada, but I hate beans & don’t eat pork.
Now moqueca, that’s a different story!
I'm brazilian and I hate feijoada. We have better dishes, like moqueca as you mentioned.

I much prefer this group, and the Italian mums- to the catty, cheaters. Lift each other up, even with constructive criticism! Beautiful! Warms my heart. When she said she felt like she’d gotten a hug from her mum 😻. And kudos to the winner for scoring her conscience even if it may cost her a win. Amazing group of ladies ❣️
What gracious and knowledgeable moms. I have a new meal to try.
I loved these ladies they were wonderful to watch
A feijoada plate looks close to a plate in South USA. 😯 Just missing cornbread and we don't put fruit with the beans except for tomato.
Now I'm looking up feijoada recipes. It looks so good.
I really liked this video, as a Brazilian i feel special and the food looks delicious. Great video
So the thing that they are referring to as green cabbage, green beans, and or kale is actually collard greens! We love collard greens with our food
Is it like stewed down like they do in the south(u.s)? Or like raw? Im really interested in trying this, looks delicious
