As a property owner and event organizer (1 of 6) I am glad you bested your all time high in laps (13 on this course, ya earned it)...we will be making a slight tweak to the course for next year that should help with the belt wear and tear (#1 complaint I heard after the race). The whole team did great and you and your team did a great job with the video and drone footage! Good Luck next year!
That was epic. Love the Coleman minibikes. I put the Predator 212 and cheap Amazon 30 series converter immediately. Been running hundreds of miles since. Even brought it to a Gambler event with Gibby and and Tom rode it 70 miles solo. Tom submerged it in a water crossing and after a few pulls of solid water it fired up. Still runs great too! Great Video guys. I'm in Texas now but if could ever fill a spot on the team let me know.
Nice job guys! Great video, fun to watch. Question for you: do you think having a jackshaft set-up with a high quality clutch like a Max Torque would have held up better overall than all the belts you fried with the torque converter?
@@drewnewcomb2909he fried belts because his rear gearing is probably too high or his cvt isn't adjusted properly. My bike was up and down that hill all day and didn't have a single belt issue.
We had about 7.5 hours on the track, which means you'd have to average 22.5 minutes a lap, including pit stops, to finish all 20 laps. My best lap was about 23 minutes, so I was never going to make it. 1:54 says a lot about the culture surrounding these events. I think I'll refrain from attending any more.
I'm thankful how they responded directly to my issues with the event in 2022 (we didn't even race... just left). So I think they're on the right track.
@@JasonExplainsThings The Ironman winner (Josiah Idaho, I think) would be creeping up on me during the tight trails, even when I felt like I was pushing it, and then when I let him by, he'd just creep away. It was like he was running 15% faster than me, no matter what I was doing.
I appreciate you keeping it real asf. Seriously. Also def you're best race video yet with a ton of on trail footage! Last horse in had the best time as we say in the running world. Final thoughts: need new tool roll mounting system 🤣
I put springer seats on my Coleman BT200X's. Makes a big difference on those bumps. Super worth it for about 20 bucks a bike. Mine are done somewhat similar to the How to Lou channel.
For the race itself? Probably 5 belts ($35), 4 gallons of gas ($18), 10 beers... for the night before ($20), and for the bike I have no idea how much money we put into it. Got it for $350 in 2018... probably another $1000 in parts over the past 5 years. Mini bike racing isn't likely a smart financial decision. 🤣
Hey dudes. Im an old man in Arizona, and Im down to get my ass kicked up in Washington doing something like that. What dates is that going on so I can start making plans to be at the next one?
You have 8hrs to run the race. Granted the track was somewhat new this year and the trail will wear in but it was finished by multiple people so maybe you need to do making excuses and suck less. I'll almost guarantee i know why you were cooking belts and it isn't the tracks fault.
Hey Badger, love your mini trucks BTW. Yeah I don't fault the organizers for not finishing the race. I do only a couple of these races a year. I have a crappy back. I was very happy with the result and I want to keep pushing to eventually finish all 100 miles.
Great Job Jason! Love the testimony too. You got this!
Thanks guys!
Shout out to Chris for the awesome FPV drone shots. 😍
Well done guys. Looks like a lot of fun was had and some butts were sore.
So very sore! 🤣
The course was Brutal. I think my back hurts just watching it 😉
Fantastic race! Looked like it was a blast! I really appreciated the message from two days before the race... very inspirational.
Many thanks!
Dude! I saw scuba man at the beginning of the race! That dude is everywhere
Scuba Man's bike is rad.

Thanks Matthew! We had an awesome time. Beyond belts I was impressed our bike held together so well.
Great video as always!
Thanks Skyler!
What an epic day. Great to meet you Jason. See you next year!
Great to meet you as well!
Gr8 vid and God Bless! TY🥇
That was intense!! Job well done team.
Thanks!
This was a blast! Thanks for setting up this crazy adventure! Killer editing! ✌️👍
Nice job learning on the fly dude! Can’t wait for the next adventure. Beyond an oil change and carb clean… the bike is ready right now!

@@SterlingRobertsonthanks for sharing the story! RIP Gibby. He was such an awesome dude. We hung out a bit at the Oregon Enduro in 2019.
That’s a cool thing, never knew those adult mini bike races were going on:-)
Yeah they're pretty fun... except that you feel like you fell down a flight of stairs the next day. :-)

Yeah I'm not sure... I'll definitely research this. Up to this rate I've been very happy with the torque converter.
@@JasonExplainsThings awesome, thank you for the reply!

Someday I will make it to the event.

Thanks Wade! Yeah that old bungie cord is fired.
The orange framed bike that won looks like the one I just finished building...Awesome message... conclusion at the end...God bless you and your family
Awesome! Thanks for the encouragement sir. Yeah that bike was amazing.

that is grass roots true racing, and no ego's
My thumbs up is for the end speech I feel you bro👊
Thanks man!
I would like to see how much it cost to do this bike, gas, belts and brews. Awesome job looks like so much fun!

Where is this
Said in the video at the beginning.
"The fancy one" Horrible!
You are the fancy one Nate! So fancy!
Man, for sure, the fancy one must have an Instagram... 😂
I was racing for 6 1/2 hours in the Oregon gambler to finish that race. I averaged 14 minutes per lap. His first lap was 28 MINUTES.
Each track is different. We cruised in Oregon till our bike broke. Merry Christmas!
@JasonExplainsThings Yeah the track in that video looked hard core. Marry Christmas to you too.
Amen brother! God bless you!
Bummed I missed the race this year and despite what Chris says I actually do exist LOL
Or do I?
🤣🤣🤣
Nope. 👻
Amen!!!
All praise to the Most High!
Praise Yah y’all!
Sad I missed it!
We’ll need to do an adventure soon.
I thought there was a Tacoma missing! Hopefully next year!!

This one was in early June. The dudes that organize this have a Facebook page. Just search Washington Minibike Gambler.

This looks like a great time. People always ask me why I stick with a jack shaft. They just seem to last.

Get a message to the promoter from me. His race is amateur hour, compared to New York gambler g100 on 8/19/23…. Not even close to tough, sorry
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video.
