Hummer Tire Deadlift was a WR
    Super Yoke was a WR

    2022 Shaw Classic Open (Women)
    3. Cori Butler ($1000)
    2. Olga Liashchuk ($2000)
    1. Victoria Long ($3000)
    2022 Shaw Classic Open (Men)
    3. Wesley Dervinsky ($1000)
    2. Joey Lavallée ($2000)
    1. Thomas Evans ($3000 + invite to 2023 Shaw Classic)
    2022 Shaw Classic
    15. Luke Stoltman ($2000)
    14. Jerry Pritchett ($2500)
    13. Gabriel Rhéaume ($3000)
    12. Gabriel Peña ($3500)
    11. Bobby Thompson ($4000)
    10. Zydrunas Savickas ($5500)
    9. Konstantine Janashia ($7000)
    8. Evan Singleton ($8500)
    7. Aivars Smaukstelis ($10000)
    6. Kevin Faires ($11500)
    5. Maxime Boudreault ($13000)
    4. Oleksii Novikov ($16000)
    3. Mitchell Hooper ($23500)
    2. Brian Shaw ($0*)
    1. Trey Mitchell ($38500)
*Brian would've won $25000 by placing second, but he gave $19000 back to the total prize pool for the pro division, and $6000 to the top performers of the open classes. Brian's $19000 added an extra $1000 to anyone who placed 4th to 15th and Trey Mitchell & Mitchell Hooper got an extra $3500 for placing 1st and 3rd respectively. The $6000 was split amongst Butler, Liashchuk, Long, Dervinsky, Lavallée and Evans evenly ($1000 each).
P.S. It seems Brian got his math wrong. He says the total amount of prize money given out was 166500 dollars, but when we add all of the numbers he gave together (plus his $25000), we get a total sum of $185500 (I triple-checked my maths). It seems Shaw deducted the $19000 he donated to the pros from the total sum by accident.
P.P.S. He got it right, but he included the $19000 split amongst the pros in the numbers he gave. Thanks, @Airacomet.

Helping the folks out on the open competitions is so great for the sport. The route to becoming a professional (meaning not having to work a full time job while competing at a high level) will only improve if other organizations do more of this kind of support for the up and comers. The show started out great and for it’s third year has made incredible progress. I think this show will be a staple of strongman. The open class was a necessary step, especially for the women’s class. Keep it up. This show will leave a legacy for you and your family!

Luke Stolman gets paid $2k to show up and pretend to get injured. Spicy.

Plus paid for travel and lodging. Hardly prepped for the show and says to everyone that criticizes it that they are all just "haters"

Oh yeah, Matt Isman was incredible. I have only ever known him from ninja warrior. I didnt get to watch the stream last year with its issues. He did so so well. Please keep him! His personality was perfect for the role.

While I do agree that testing leg strength is important in strongman, there is this exercise that has been created called the squat that some people might have heard of. It would be nice to see more of that. Max squat, like what Arnold's did in 2021, for instance would be a nice event.

It's true that the max squat is a good test. That said, mixing it up to try and bring something new and spectacular takes a bit more guys than putting on a glorified power lifting event. I respect your opinion, but a leg press isn't the same as a squat.

@@fredmann5019 And the car leg press is only a glorified gym lift, and doesnt fit into strongman.
