Actually it wouldn't be a bad idea if you admit them to Indian schools following either ICSE or CBSE syallabus. Their grip over concepts of Maths, Sciences and English grammar will become strong. Personally I prefer ICSE board till Std. X.

Come & visit Kerala on August / September. It is the best time to visit. Wayanad, idukki, Alleppey, Wonderla amusement park, Jew town, Padmanabhapuram palace (palace of Kerala's Travancore kings located in tamil nadu) are some good places to visit here.

I was a state board student but it didn't make any difficulty for me to get into the IIT but for them ICSE is good choice for language barrier
