    Learned another couple of small techniques that I was unaware of, like the clicking an dragging the mouse while in the Curves tool, instead of manually moving the curve. What is great about this is not just replacing the face, but all the extra little layers and thought processes behind making the whole photo look great. Your description of why you are doing what you are doing is VERY helpful. I would agree with @Cliff MP below, that your courses and also these videos will give someone a great idea about the power of Affinity Photo. Thanks!

    Thank you for the best tutorial covering this topic!!! It is clear, simple, and best of all, it works. I've tried a range of differrent suggestions about matching skintones and all of them have not really worked. This video works!!! Thanks again.

    Thanks for the video. I am having a little issue. It seems like all of my brush style tools have an inverted application (darker on the edges than from the centre out), any idea what could be causing this?

    • @AffinityRevolution
      @AffinityRevolution  2 роки тому +1

      It sounds like you have "wet edges" turned on. You can turn this off by getting out the Paint Brush, clicking on "More" in the middle of the context toolbar, and then at the bottom of the "General" tab, you can turn wet edges on and off. 🙂

    • @MrMattDana
      @MrMattDana 2 роки тому

      @@AffinityRevolution I had it turned off in the more menu. I had to toggle the wet edges on and off in the bar beside the blend mode.
      Thanks for the reply!

    ? I have this photo of the sky with the sun behind some clouds that's shooting off sunrays and apartment buildings down below. the buildings dwn below are low light, so I raise the color up on them using the levels, which works. then the sun & sky is to bright, but I use the Inpainted brush to bring it back to the original look. but after I do that part, AP starts calculating and then I see 3 reflections of the apartment building in the sky. we had a update last night, it's still doing it. before and after the update. I'm using the Current & below & the blk circle in the wheel top right. any suggestions?

    • @AffinityRevolution
      @AffinityRevolution  2 роки тому

      You do not need to use the inpainting brush. All you need to do is mask the Levels adjustment off of the sky, by painting in black on the adjustment layer with the regular Paint Brush Tool (keyboard shortcut = B).
